I ordered a Cobb salad for lunch and was extremely disappointed. Rotten avocado and tomatoes, super chewy bacon and chicken. To say this establishment has gone down hill is an understatement. I used to love Panera Bread. It was a staple in my diet and one of my favorite lunch staples. After this mess, I won’t be going back. I haven’t even opened the fruit cup yet; I’m afraid of even more disappointment after such a horrible salad. Do better Panera Bread. You just lost a loyal customer.

It was my first time visiting Panera bread ever. Food was delicious, the staff were friendly as well. But idk what the food had that it made me puke one hour after eating it . I've never had this experience before and never had trouble with any food/restaurants but this food made me puke. Edit: me , my husband, and son all got food poisoning, 4 hours later and we are still puking and with diarrhea . Please avoid this location, food might be good but it gives you food poisoning!

The place was dirty slow. One of the supervisors just stood their and was more in the way then helpful. I feel bad for the employees and the lack of support they were not getting. Food was okay. It was cold when I got it.

Nothing particularly personal about this location or its staff, although they did get my order wrong. Mostly just Panera has become the paradigm of expensive and incredibly mediocre food. Get a coffee and a muffin if you have to, anything else is guaranteed disappointment.

Both times I've ordered from here they've gotten my order incorrect. It's not like they heard me wrong as the items are literally written down exactly with what I want. Definitely prefer the Puyallup location, never any issues there.

Tacoma mall Panera bread had huge loaves of bread. I went to purchase several loaves of sourdough and was helped quickly. I appreciated the efficient service and my loaves of sourdough were tasty and fresh. I will come here again.

I’ve ordered 7 times from this place in the past two months and not once have I received my order correctly. Missing fruit cups, vegetarian sandwiches with meat added, cup of soup with the lid not secured. I’m never going back as I’ve had the exact same experience at the Gig Harbor Panera. Good food but clearly the workers are inexperienced and underpaid. Good bye Panera, you will be missed. (For both done-in, and takeout; lunch and dinner)

The worst Panera Bread location I have been too. Our food was terrible and service was rude. Double check and make sure you get all your items you ordered before you leave, including the chicken in your sandwich.

Ordered three chicken caprese sandwiches with the family. I’ve never been so disappointed in a food establishment. It had no meat, cheese or chicken. I would save my money and go to subway, jersey mikes or the nearby dumpster.

Very confused what just happened here. Spent $24 on a HALF sandwich & small salad...what? Sandwich had very little meat for the price I could have gotten a whole steak. I'm honestly in shock about what I just paid for. Won't be going back to any Panera's. Find any other place for you next lunch.

It's Panera. Tacoma Mall location is a bit cramped, floors were noticably dirty, but food was standard Panera quality. Not amazing, but better than Subway. Kinda like Starbucks, it's reliably decent/mediocre to occasionally good.

Absolutely horrible from the service to the food and the dining area!!!! Would give it minus stars but that's not an option. Spent 38$ for 2 people on bad lettuce salads, luke warm soup and a drink and paid for it with nasty attitude staff. Definitely won't be back or recommend. Even the manager on duty seemed to not like her job. Pretty sad all around

Mr. Tim made dinner a great experience. Amazing food, and wonderful service. He is pretty knowledgeable and made great recommendations to us with , delicious dishes, wonderful dessert. Got a couple of free cookies :) with a sweet smile and unmatched management service. I recommend to everyone! .

I enjoy Panera, it's better than fast food, reasonably priced. All locations I have visited have ample seating so you can hang out for a while if you choose.

The soup was great, but while browsing their fresh baked pastry area I came to notice there were flies and bugs on them. I know the lady saw them and she served a pastry to an unaware customer. Pastry case should be enclosed. Not a good look Panera.

So, today is my sons birthday... And, he wanted to do Panera Mac and Cheese for his birthday, so my wife ordered (via the website) food for his birthday party. There were 8 kids (all under the age of 13) and the website suggested that we order 2 of the larges. The cost was $56. Which included the 2 large Mac and Cheese and 6 slices of bread. I knew there was absolutely no way that there was going to be enough. Well, 4 of them got to eat, and then we are heading out to get dinner elsewhere. Lessons learned: A.) Don't trust their website to suggest things. B.) Mac and Cheese is probably one of the cheapest things on earth to make, the fact that Panera feels comfortable charging $60 (for Mac and Cheese that would not even feed 4 children) is an indicator of how out of touch they are with their customers. Called and spoke to the manager, Nicole, who was unhelpful. Other than agreeing that their prices were outrageous. Can't blame her, she can only operate within what the corporate folks say. I often wonder why people rave about this place so much, then I came to Yelp to see that they have pretty bad reviews. Starting to make sense. All that to say, there is MUCH better food in this town, and significantly cheaper. I'd encourage you to look elsewhere.

Ordered the 2 entree deal and a third sandwich. Didn't get my additional sandwich, called and asked for a refund. The female associate on the phone said they don't do refunds. Never heard of that at any business, and asked for the manager. Another associate got on the phone and wanted to argue that I could come back and get my sandwich at another time but I can't get a refund. Would love to see how a business thinks they can hold money for not fulfilling a paid order! Anyways, we finally moved on to a third employee, a manager, who had about the same class and respect as a run down motel attendant and reluctantly provided a refund over the phone. The middle associate needs a reprimand at the minimum for the way she wanted to argue and even question "all this over a sandwich." Yeah, it's my money, not yours. Provide a complete order, and I give you money. Such a simple task, but apparently this Panera bread location can't be bothered with customer service. Be wary of to go orders!

The dining area was disgustingly dirty; it appeared as if it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Food crumbs, spilled drink residue, and finger prints covered every surface in sight. Definitely never eating here again.

Sort of your typical place to go on a first date or take your mom after her doctor's appointment. The people were nice, the food sort of fine just about what you would expect, the wait times can be a bit out of hand but I've eaten here several times so I guess go check it out.

Wow - very impressed with my delivery today from these guys! I had an old gift-card that I found (to Panera) so I thought, why not use it today for a sandwich delivery?! The chicken salad sandwich was HUGE, came with free chips, and the broccoli cheese soup, OMG, heaven! Which also came with free bread! I feel that, Including Doordash fees and all that, the prices were reasonable for this big sandwich and the quality and freshness of the food. I had a special request for my sandwich, and they paid attention caught it! A++ for that! (Restaurants seem to pay attention anymore so this was awesome!) And they were exactly on time with my order. This is the kind of meal delivery we could all use for our hectic days! Awesome food too. A+++++

Debacle inI trying to order from phone and kiosk. System would not take my order from the kiosk. I am a sip club member so I know the system well. Manager had to provide override at register and got that wrong. What kind of place would serve soup with no crackers?more than 5 min at the register and not a single concession from the manager.

Zero star earned. The worst experience and email to the HQ. Ordered as toasted but all of them were cold and not toasted. Supposed to get as a curb side pick up since I have children. but no one showed up. I even called them and waited, too. But still no one came to my car. I just wasted over 30 mins with several super hungry children. Eventually I went to the store and received the wrong order. I saw the manager saw me but he didn’t say anything. He owes me an apology ‘at least’. This is Ridiculous and sucks. BTW It was past 7:00 p.m of weekday, so they weren’t busy.

I come here at least once a week. The food is good my issue here is every time I order curbside pick up it takes them 15 mins+ after I received a text that my order is ready for pick up. Very frustrating

I order the mac and cheese bowl. Was a bit disappointed, the moisture from the cheese wasn't saturated enough. The noodles were to big. The bread ended up more of the filler instead of the cheese. Such great taste ruined by inaccurate moisture & portion control.

Panera located near the highway and in the Mall provides an easy access point for every driver to hop on and off the road here. I love the outdoor seating with some table umbrellas and awnings to help block the elements. Provides a perfect little relaxation point, as long as traffic is minimal. Inside provides a very nice restaurant with tasteful decorations and comfortable seating for a few people, and space for bigger parties as needed. Bathrooms are very nice as well for all your personal needs. Staff was excellent to us, debate a fairly cranky morning person and slightly convoluted order. Very nice and understanding, definitely deserves an extra star here! Highly recommend their service!! Food was fantastic. Gotta love their bagels.

Update: I took my niece here in August and there were fruit flies. I am so glad the Tacoma Mall has this Panera. Food is delicious and service is great. I especially like this place for breakfast. My Baked Egg Soufflés is delicious. It is just a great place to study, work, and to enjoy the sunrise.

I got grilled cheese and chicken noodles soup. I dislike the breakfast hours, which made it impossible to get what I originally wanted. But the service was very friendly and efficient, and the food was DELICIOUS!

Great food and easy ordering options offered at this location - including the standard order ahead on the app, but also a handy and easy to use self serve kiosk to avoid the lines. The one drawback is the area to pick up your order (whether it be for dine in or carry out) is extremely cramped and it is in the same spot for soft drink refills. Aside from that, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here - much of it far enough away from registers to shield from the accompanying noise - and an atmosphere that is pleasing to enjoy.

Wonderful people work here. Management walks around cleaning up tables and engages with every customer. The employees treat everyone who walks in with dignity and respect. All walks of life are welcomed here! The food was good. We ordered a half tuna sandwich and half a Chipotle Chicken Avocado melt, which both came with a bag of chips. Absolutely no complaints and I recommend this location to friends and family.

Great bagels and bread. Staff seems willing to help. Only con is the cleanliness. Customers are nasty and I don't think there is someone designated to clean up after them.

Shout out to my favorite Panera! :) I didn’t realize what time it was and placed an order right before close. I didn’t make it in time but thankfully, I called the next day and explained what happened and got a fresh meal. 🙏🏽 Bless the Panera gods

Easy Sunday morning breakfast. This place is great right in the morning for breakfast as it is not too crowded. The staff greets you as you come in and thanks you for stopping by after you're done. Everything was clean and organized throughout the establishment. Food and coffee were freshly made, which makes for quite a delicious morning.

The food tastes good. But there were other problems. Ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. No Avocado. Good thing I checked my takeout bag before leaving because we were missing 2 items. And, there was a genuine lack of joy in the employee taking our order, really felt like we were more of a disturbance and bother to her.

A different kind of Panera Bread. The manager Tim was walking around randomly chatting with customers, taking personal interest. He came over to me and simple asked what I needed and said…. No problem, I got it. Later he came over with cookies saying have one on me. It’s little gestures that make a difference. Thank you

A great location with plenty of well lit parking for meet and greets. This location stays open later than the Tacoma Mall as well.
