This place is a big disappointment. The course condition is not great, the facilities are low grade at best and the upper management is a joke. The tee boxes are some of the worst I have ever seen and to say that the greens are inconsistent is a big understatement. After a over year of membership here I would say that my biggest beef is the fact that everytime you ask the golf shop staff about policy or course conditions they out-right lie. Spend the extra money and go to a real private course. You'll be so much happier. Edit. Add to for RCCC reply. My above review has nothing to do with personal conflict (no idea what that comment is about) or pre-determined contract rates (which I never even discussed or disputed) Obviously the RCCC management is completely out of touch and did not even bother to read my review. Again, best to just avoid this place.

Right before COVID hit, I was helping my close friends plan their wedding here. Although the interior of the building was more dilapidated than we would have liked, the outdoor scenery was beautiful and ultimately we were just excited to finally pick a date and start planning. COVID threw a wrench in the plans of course, but we were happy to work with the venue to find a replacement date. I can't even describe the frustration of being on the other end of an email with the management of this club. To get a response at all, let alone a response that made sense, was like pulling teeth for my friends. The biggest grievance among many was that the bride's family lives in SE Asia and were legally unable to travel to attend the wedding in the short window they permitted a reschedule -- a window they were never even contractually obligated to. This was among MANY last minute contract changes that made my responsibilities as Maid of Honor extremely difficult. How can someone in good faith expect a daughter to get married without her parents present? In my opinion, it was clear that they no longer wanted to honor the event we had planned, but rather wanted us to relinquish the deposit so they could line their pockets during COVID. As a MOH, you are tasked with a lot of crazy things, but I never anticipated being tasked with compiling screenshots of emails for a small claims court date. Every other vendor was a breeze to work with; RCCC was a complete nightmare. I would never recommend anyone host their event at RCCC unless they like feeling held hostage by a deposit and unanswered emails.

Did not have a good experience trying to hit a few balls on the driving range. Of course we are new to golf, but not to the area, after living here 35+ years. My wife was wearing jean pedal pushers, and I did not have a collared shirt. So we were turned away . There are way too many golf courses near by, which are not so pretentious. Lots of my friends dropped their membership here over the years and have gone to The Reserve and glad they did. Sad as I was looking to get a membership as I just retired. Not here! I do not deal well with snobs.

I have been a member of Rock Creek for 28 years. The recent improvements to the club are great. The new irrigation on the front nine has improved the fairways a lot. The siding and overall face lift is a huge improvement. I really appreciate the continued improvements to my second home.

We held a wedding reception here at the end of August. The space worked really well for our ~70 guests and could've accommodated quite a few more very comfortably. There were some issues when it came to payment. They forgot to send us an invoice before the payment was due and then attempted to charge us a $200 late fee. We were able to work this out with them and had the charge removed. We also received a call about late payment for our final invoice when it was paid on time. We were also disappointed with our day-of coordinator. We were originally told that they would be there to keep things running smoothly. We worked with the coordinator to decide the schedule but we never received a copy of the schedule we worked on during that meeting. We believed that the coordinator would be present at our event to... coordinate. At the very least, we expected to have a copy of the schedule from that meeting. Instead of the event coordinator, there was another staff member there who was not knowledgeable about our event. They did not set up the sound system or gift table ahead of time and we had to request those items to be set up when we arrived. To their credit, they did follow up with us by phone when trying to return our security deposit.

Our company (Woodblock Architecture) has hosted an annual event here for 7 years. Rock Creek graciously enables us to have the best event possible. We cannot thank April Shuhum enough for all that she has put up with from our rowdy group of golfers every year. Cheers to RCCC!!! Already excited about #8 in August.

I hosted and event at the RCCC and the venue was beautiful however the staff where extremely rude to my guests at the event telling my mother to “read a sign” when they hadn’t placed them out for more than 5 mins in the middle of my event for where the bathrooms are. They tried to cut my event short which during I had to pull up the contract and make them re-open the event. They sold their own hard alcohol when I expressed in great detail NO HARD ALCOHOL. They also never returned my deposit back even though we left the space clean and checked with the male manger who was at our event on behalf of RCCC. The space is beautiful but it’s not worth dealing with the staff and managers. You’ll end up paying way more. Have you go into contract under false pretenses and blame it on you to fix it. This is the very short and nice version of my event at RCCC. I wish the staff were as beautiful as the club.

I have been a member at Rock Creek for a little over 2 years and have played numerous courses in the area both public and private. While the course may not be able to compete with the likes of the upper scale private clubs, the value and challenge the course presents is worth consideration for anyone considering a private club membership. Since I became a member the improvements have been tremendous and the staff and members are some of the finest people I have encountered since we moved to the area. I met the owner for the first time last week, I did not know who he was at the time or I would have thanked him for everything he has done to improve the course.

*** UPDATE! *** Due to Corona, we did not want to travel for our most recent wedding anniversary - so we went to Rock Creek, and April did a fantastic job - she set out a table in the wedding area just for us, and brought us lunch. We had a bottle of Champagne too, and 2 friends joined us - socially spaced. It was a sunny day too - so much appreciation to April for making our day special !!! We had our wedding at the Rock Creek Country Club in Beaverton, OR. They host weddings, and it was AWESOME! Jaci and Joe did an amazing job - far beyond what anyone would expect. We were so happy! They are very organized, gracious, and sensitive to people's needs. They shared information in a flexible way so we could do our planning with no stress. On the actual day, Jaci seemed to be everywhere, attending to every detail. Our wedding was totally smooth, and elegant. Joe did a great job with the food, including some extra touches just for us. The venue itself is very nice, a beautiful layout, being a golf course - and ideal for a wedding. The new cement floor of the outdoor tent was done perfectly too. We cannot even imagine that we could have gotten married anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

With golf season coming up I wanted to give Rock Creek some kudos. I played there last fall with some friends for the first time. We had a great time. The course is will maintained and the staff in the golf shop treated us great. I almost brook 100. I also attended a chamber function in the club house and it had plenty of room for the 100 members who attended. I also will attending another event this Feb. their too. Mike, the Membership and Events manager, is very accommodating, when it comes to holding an event there. Dean P:S Ask Mike about the new barbaque pit.
