It is hard to imagine that the best most accessible brunch place in Seattle could be at an Ethiopian restaurant, but such is the nature of most hidden treasures. It is a remarkable privilege to be able to dine here. The food is elegantly presented, the bread is home made, and the meal savory. I took a photo - which I rarely do, because in my opinion Khurri (the owner) has elevated her work into an art form - we felt we were transported to a scene straight out of Midnight in Paris.

Love this place, great food, always a chill atmosphere. The brunch menu and the dinner menu differ, with dinner being Ethiopian and pasta. Great local spot!

Visiting from New York we stumbled into this hidden gem. Probably one of the finest brunches I've had in Seattle. Simple, elegant and tasteful. The coffee was pretty good too

The nearby Cafe was a huge wait and this place was completely empty, which is criminal. My partner and I came here on a whim and I can see this being a future craving destination. I got the ginger tea and the open faced chicken sausage sandwich. It was perfect portions (especially for the price) and every ingredient was flavorful. I usually put hot sauce on my breakfast but I felt that would do a disservice to the meal. The food is excellently prepared, the staff is super nice, the atmosphere is charming. Do Seattle a favor and support places like this.

This is truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood! The food was excellent! The proportions were great! We were there for brunch and it was such a beautiful little cafe. The staff is excellent, very attentive and thoughtful. If you are in this area I would highly recommend this place, specifically their smoked salmon sandwich!

bussin Truly a hidden gem! The dishes are full of flavor, perfectly portioned, and the price is pretty nice as well—especially for Seattle haha! Not to mention, the welcoming and friendly attitudes of the staff perfectly complements the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant! 10/10 experience, would highly recommend whether you’re dining in or ordering to go!

I have never had a less than wonderful experience at this restaurant. The salads—we had one of each—are excellent, cold, fresh, well dressed, tasty. We ordered the. vegetarian platter which comes with plenty of warmed Injeras and nice portions of 3 vegetarian dishes. All were good. The wine was good too. Everything is so reasonably priced.

I really enjoyed this place. We ordered from the brunch menu and got the smoked salmon with potatoes, rosemary chicken sandwich, mint tea, and latte. The food came out quickly and the first bite melted in my mouth. You can tell the ingredients they use are fresh and the atmosphere feels elevated like an Ethiopian-French bistro, it reminded me of New Orleans. I love that the prices are very reasonable too! 10 out of 10, excited to come back to try their dinner menu.

I really wanted to like this place. The good part was: the wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Lots of coffee/water refills whenever needed, people seemed happy. But the bad news was: the brunch special I got, some kind of sun dried tomato / feta / spinach scramble -- pretty not-good. I'm no foodie by any stretch; I'll eat pretty much anything. But even I was about ready to push it aside unfinished. The (presumably homemade?) white bread was tasty. The potatoes were fine. The orange was dried out and old. And the knife was dirty. Definitely made me sad that a local, friendly establishment had a pretty low quality bar. But then again, maybe brunch isn't really their forte?

Old school feeling Seattle Breakfast Cafe, family run. Totally nice. And no line. Lots of mediocre breakfast places with long lines in this town. Hopefully you all will make this place popular, because they deserve your business. Standard breakfast fare on a Sunday. But very reasonably priced. And not crowded. Yet. Plus they are super duper nice.

Outstanding neighborhood cafe in the European style. When the weather is nice, there is outdoor seating and indoor there is usually nice music playing. The young and enthusiastic wait staff are backed up by the longstanding owner who is an amazing chef. On the weekends you can get frittatas, French toast, French press coffee and other casual delights for an extremely reasonable price at brunch. In the evenings you can get either Italian dishes or Ethiopian food.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere was warm and cozy with lovely music and amazing service and wait-staff. Our server took us through the menu and gave us great recommendations. The Eggplant dish and Garlic Spinach dish were personal favorites, but everything was delicious. The injera was especially good and the Ethiopian black tea paired perfectly with the meal. Will definitely be back!

Hands down the best place to eat in Madrona. The food is top notch, the service is incredible. This is THE PLACE! Literally everything on the menu is delicious. You will never be disappointed going to Cafe Soleil!

Popular neighborhood restaurant with friendly and attentive service. Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday around 1pm and ordered the open faced sandwich. My partner ordered the roasted eggplant sandwich. The side potatoes were amazing, and the sandwiches were decent. Nice atmosphere and a great place for a quick lunch or catching up with friends! Want to come back to check out their dinner menu (when they serve Ethiopian cuisine).

Beautiful little cafe with some of the best French toast, freshly squeezed orange juice and scrambled eggs. All home made ingredients including the jam. Service was friendly and very inviting.
