It's a great place to visit with family. The food here is of great quality and the quantity they give is also more than expected. The sea food here is of great quality and the presentation of food is also commendable. There are wide varities of cuisines that you get here other than sea food. The place is pretty cozy and gives off a pretty formal vibe. There is I guess also a party hall here because the day i visited it was booked for a party. Overall nice experience.

Good Ambience, Fastest serving ever I had. Food was scrumptious! Mutton Raan(whole leg piece) was expensive however fun to see the big leg of mutton and the flesh was in piece. Service folks were friendly, we request for few customizations for our little one, they were supportive and she too enjoyed the food.

We had conducted a Birthday party for our Lil one!! The party hall was wonderful. The food was delicious, especially the fruit punch and the crispy baby corn. Chicken was cooked properly and was spongy!! Their staffs are also good assisted in selecting the best menu. Recommended!!

I had ordered a chicken manchurian from sea shell Velachery ! I’m not sure if this is the same from all the other branches but I want to share my experience. costed 254 rs on Zomato with the discount and all I got was a small box with 6 pieces of chicken in a small box !! I understand if I eat there at the restaurant they give all those explanation about salary current bill and stuff but all I ask is is this worth for 254 ?? Will the owner buy this for 254 if he is a middle class person ? There might be contradictory statements as in why I ordered here but I never knew the quantity would be so less and also a day where I could relax with some good food which wasn’t fair is all my question !!🙂

Good taste and great collection of seafood and dessert. Must try if you are in town. Valet parking is available. My personal choice is seafood platter and falooda.

Tandoori + kuboos + their mayonnaise = muaaah !!! Arumai aana taste. Must try there for tandoori. Chicken was soft, not old stock, even when ordering via Zomato. Tandoori Paratha was also awesome!

Food was not upto the mark. I tried crab and prawn here, it was just preheated and served. Most of the non-veg items seems to frozen food and doesn't have a fresh aroma. Very expensive. AC was not working in the first floor. Servers can be little courteous and simply delaying to serve the preheated food. Worst experience. Waste spending money and time here.

The party hall here was fantastic. Really neat and composed place to fit in nearly 100 people. The food offered was fantastic and top notch. Haven't tried their restaurant yet but the hall was awesome. No faults to say. The fruit punch which they claim as their special is really amazing.

Everyone knows sea shell means best sea food outlet at Chennai.Been there to try out their unique dish of mutton plate sharwarma and it was awesome then their Brownie sizzler also Fabulous

Located conspicuously opposite to Croma in Velachery. Had dining experience in first floor. Ordered Philippino bbq,Laham Meshwi, Koji dejaj and fruit salad with ice cream. Shwarma are available only after 5 pm and unfortunately arabian style desserts were not available. Except the bbq,other dishes were average in taste. Considering the price(which is on the higher side)more gastronomic experience was expected. Staffs are polite and courteous. Personally I had better experience in their sister branch in Colaba(Mumbai). You can skip this restaurant as in the same price,few other places are ready to offer tastier food from the same type of cuisine.

Great place to have food with family / friends. Very good parking facilities. Ordered for BBQ chicken , tikka , squid fry, butter chicken masala and chicken fried rice. The quantity as well as the quality was excellent. Definitely you will not be disappointed coming to this place. Note: During weekends it will be too crowded so plan accordingly.

One of my go to restaurants in chennai which serves some really good food !!! Only a few branches of the sea shell serve quality food and this is one among them, most of there menu are too tasty and a must try place for arabian dishes My personal favourite Soup 9/10 Briyani 8/10 Shawarma 10/10 Grill chicken 10/10 Kebab 9/10 Kapsa rice 9/10 Mandhi rice 9/10 Fried rice 8/10 Mutton gravy 9/10 I won't recommend sea food here even though they have sea in their name !!! This time I opted for an iftar box and definitely this is the best among all restaurants both cost wise and taste wise in Chennai (highly recommend) Great place to have food with your family

The menu is not customisable, especially the barbecue platters. One of us were allergic to prawns, the person who took the order, didn’t give us much options to customise the platter. The quantity of the chicken shawarma for 160++ rupees was not worthy of the cost. But 3 stars just for the faloodas, cause I am a sucker for desserts 🍨

It was a great experience and the staffs are super friendly .. their thantoor crab is delicious .. worth every penny .. veg thantoor plate didn't have veg it was more of capsicum, Tomato and onions .. the money was not worth for the mutton Mandi .. it was just like white rice and unflavour mutton pieces

We ordered Fish Biryani and Vegetable Schezwan Fried Rice for main course. The fish briyani taste was too bad also the fish was not fresh, it was freezed and horrible to eat. Overall the taste of biryani was bad with no flavour of fish in biryani. I was shocked seeing the colour of Veg Schezwan Rice which i received. They added more and more artificial colour for making the rice, it was so wired and unappetizing. Also there is no veggies in the rice all i got was oly beans with artificial coloured rice and the taste was blunt . Instead of Veg Schezwan Rice they might have mentioned it as Beans Schezwan Rice. I have no words to express abt the taste of horrible Chicken Sweet Corn Soup we ever had. We really felt bad for dining there. Waste of money and time.

I went to this restaurant with my family to have dinner. But the food and dishes were not up to the mark than I expected. Brinjal curry and Raita tasted terrible. Overall, I can rate it as the below average restaurant.

The Banquet party hall was good and service was satisfactory. The rates for one plate is above 550rs which is very costly. For kids also, the amount of the plate is the same. The food served was okay. The taste of mutton briyani was average. Paneer gravy was not tasty. Dessert-like Fruit custard & ice-cream not worth it. There was no chicken in the Tandoori Salad. The Mandi was authentic and it is very tasty. I ordered chicken barbeque and shawarma here. I doubt the chicken was not good. The smell feels ambiguous.

Very average experience. Food was ok. Not too much to specifically praise. Would definitely require some service. They didn't even place glasses for water until you ask. Curry portions are quite large. More than enough for 2 ppl. They have valet parking.

I visited the restaurant for a lunch on Saturday. There were seats available. I ordered a Pepper BBQ. As usual, it was soft and well cooked. Sea shell is my favourite restaurant for the BBQs. I also ordered Naan and Parotta along with Hyderabadi Mutton Keema. All the dishes were tasty and the quantity also was good. There's ample parking space in the front. Although everything was good, I'm giving only four stars due to the service. The waiters were not able to understand what I communicated and it was difficult to convey what I really wanted.

I, my wife and our 9 year old son went to Sea Shell Velachery on July30, 2022. its an unplanned lunch. we used to go there regularly, before Covid, when we were in Madipakkam. My wife wanted to have Mutton Raan Briyani (1500Rs). we ordered that and crab lollypop and 2 bottled drinks. I am a foodie and I really liked the taste. It tasted damn good, I should say. Simply WoW. Usually I am a Ambur Star Briyani fan. But this Raan briyani exceeded my expectations, as the Rat wins Ego's heart in "Ratatouille" !

Visited multiple times and the service and the taste was good asusual. Crowd was low as I visited on the new year eve. Wait persons were more courteous. You do have a wallet parking.

Visited this restaurant in Velachery, last Saturday evening for dinner. They have wallet parking facility. Ordered Prawns, Grilled Fish in starters. Taste was good and worth for money. Butter Naan was good,but Prawn gravey was only average in taste. Ambience wise good and service was also good. Overall 4 out of 5.

Wonderful place to visit for lunch and dinner with family and friends

I booked the party hall here for my son's first birthday celebration. I have already tried their buffet and their food is great. And as expected the food was also great during the birthday celebration. Everyone who came for the party enjoyed the food and mentioned the food was very good. To talk about the party hall the ambience of the hall is really nice. Overall the place is good to conduct parties and celebrations and the pricing is also reasonable and they give discounts as well. Overall the experience with Savoury Sea Shell restaurant is very good.
