Fantastic place to have some alternative Italian street food. Unique flavors, wooden oven and everything perfectly made. I gave them 4 stars because my salentina was burned a bit on the outside, but this is a matter of taste. In general, I advise to try their salentina which is really awesome.

Outstanding food, fresh ingredients and even better service!!! The reviews say it all, excellent, well prepared and so delicious. George took the time to explain the menu and recommended some great items. They take pride in their food and it shows. The dough is incredible and the pulled pork was out of this world. Don’t miss out in this place. Highly recommend it and will definitely be back for more.

The food is A M A Z I N G We ate the special pizza and a sandwich with pulled pork. Sorry I don't have any photos, but we actually ate these so fast, I did not even realize. Simple recipes but with quality and fresh ingredients. That is all you need for a food frenzy. Later edit, came back after 2 days, took photos this time.

I highly recommend this small but sooo good place in Thessaloniki. So good we had to visit once more. The special dough is the base to amazing sandwiches and mouth watering pizza, to which fresh and delicious ingredients are added to create the perfect bite!! Mr. Adonis, the owner and his friendly staff, are super welcoming which make this place The Place to grab a meal from noon to night.

What's striking about this place is the purity of the ingredients and the love that goes into it. It really shows in the final product, great crust on the Pizza and Sandwiches. The service was great and friendly, the place is small and gets packed pretty quickly so be ready to wait.

Be prepared with a bit of patience if you want a table, but it really is worth the wait! Really good sourdough pizza and sandwiches, quality ingredients, also featuring some vegan options. Very friendly staff, very decent prices. It might very well be the best pizza in town.

We arrived into Thessaloniki at 10pm from airport. Checked into our hotel and then began our search for a nice place to eat. After 10min walk we discovered a wonderful Salentina / Pizza place. The restaurant has only outdoor seating. Food is fantastic! The VEGAN MUSHROOM Salentina is to die for... The clientele are all young and local. They know where the great food is and where the vibe is I was so impressed with this restaurant, I returned the next day for another VEGAN MUSHROOM Salentina! Prices are very reasonable, food quality exceptional and the staff are so friendly. You won't be disappointed with SALENTO...delicious...

Very tasty sandwiches!! Very friendly staff, they explained everything in English and the service was great. Pulled pork was very soft and flavorful. Definitely will come back when visiting Thessaloniki.

We thought we knew where the best Italian pizzas and food was outside of Italy (in Paris), but now we’ve found a real rival. We had the salentinas and pizza and loved it all. Why is it so good? - Excellent food (no heating, reheating, just that huge oven in the middle of this small place, fresh ingredients and that’s it - Excellent service (they really try to make your experience perfect - we even heard a couple tell about some sauce they didn’t like and they listened to them, said they would try and even joked that they would name is as their name should it get on the menu. This is what I call great and professional service! - Fast service All in all, we just loved it. One salentina can already fill you up well, but it was so good that my boyfriend and I managed to eat a pizza between the both of us too :p At 19:10 there were still seats but by 19:30 all seats were gone and you’d have to wait 10 minutes (so still feasible). Also it’s easy to take away. PS: it’s not only for tourists! ;) We heard quite a few Greek families and people buy from there

This is a true Diamond in the city of Thessaloniki.It was one of the most closest experience to Naples and Italy's original recipe for pizza. Fresh and tasty ingredients prepared with love in an wooden oven! Also the sandwiches panini where also very nice. You could say it is value for money, the stuff is very friendly and for me is one of the most familiar with Italy's pizza I have eaten in Greece generally. Ofc it's not Napoli, but you should try it for sure!

Awesome Neapolitan style pizza dough in a wood-fired oven. I recommend the sandwiches "SALENTINA" with filling for every taste. Definitely, I'll go again, and i suggest everyone give them a try

We ate here twice during our short layover in Thessaloniki and I can’t recommend them enough! Their Margherita can easily compete with some Michelin star places that I visited before. The only reason I rated service as a 4/5 was because both times that we’ve been there I had trouble communicating with the same waiter and never got my drink order right, but it was politely corrected. The food arrives quickly which is a huge plus.

Absolutely delicious, fluffy, chewy, light but flavorful sourdough pizza. The salad was a complete bonus surprise. Perfectly dressed and high quality fresh ingredients. A little cramped outside seating but so very worth it. Accommodating, kind staff. Can’t wait to return.

Having an Italian wife (🥺) and visited Italy many times, I was more than pleasantly surprised finding true Italian food here. One of the best street food places ever, big kudos to Saletno crew. Tried most of the things on the menu, and everything is top notch!

Absolutely outstanding food! So happy I stopped when I walked by as the outside was full of people for a reason. Ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Salento and the flavours just flooded through the soft dough. Super lovely staff and the food came quickly after ordering. Might even have to pop back before I leave Thessaloniki.

Amazing wood fired oven inside. The staff is perfect and the food if possible is even better. We got two salentos l, just take whatever fits your fancy. Highly recommend the the prosciutto and whatever daily special they have (today it was wood fired lasagna).

We tried the Salentina Pulled Pork Vinaigrette, which we shared (that's why they brought it cut in half). It's a sort of sandwich made from pizza dough with various fillings. It costs 4,70€ and was excellent! Absolute tasty dough as well as filling, very good value for money. There are no tables indoors, outside there are about six tables. Excellent, courteous and helpful staff. The atmosphere in terms of location is nothing special but you are rewarded by the taste! For the category of street food I highly recommend it, a must try for everyone!

Both quality and quantity of food are good. People are nice even they seem not to believe one person can eat a whole dessert. Delay of service is good. Insane experience

We stumbled across Salento when our target grilled-meats spot (diagonal across the street) was closed for lunch. We were greeted by a friendly host and given an introduction to the on-site dough making process. We were hooked. (It helped that the sign is high-design, and that the name says “street food”) The meal was superb. On our three month journey, this makes the Top Five list for sure. The pulled pork sandwich shames any I’ve had back home in The South. 😬 As a bonus- it had excellent wood fired Margherita pizza for my kids.

Perfection. Lots of flavors and fillings to choose from. The best street food I’ve had in Greece. Prices range from 4-6 euros for the wraps. Pulled pork with vinaigrette was recommended. Service was extremely good and quick. There is some street side seating available.

Chef features quality, local ingredients and prepares everything fresh to order. Hard to believe the prices are so low for such quality. English menu available. Mix of pizzas and stuffed sandwich style options. Top of the menu was the “Pueblo,” which has local country sausage/mushroom ragu and a salty local cheese. Fantastic.

One of the very best pizzas I’ve eaten in a long time. We found this lovely place on our last night in Thessaloniki, and got some food to take away. The service was great, just really lovely, friendly people, and the food was wonderful. The salentinas are great, but the pizza was sublime. We also had a salad, the manuri-siko, which was delicious. Really cannot highly recommend this place enough.

Unique, delicious food. We ate two times here and had to try different things. We cannot wait to come back in town to eat again here.

Friendly staff and the smells coming out are amazing, but found that the pulled pork was under-seasoned and tasted a bit too meaty, the truffle pizza didn’t have shaved truffles but a truffle purée that was slightly too strong (otherwise baked perfectly!). The meatball sandwich was very tasty though!

One of the best Pizza I ever had! This place is really a gem!!! In an wood fired oven (400 Celsius) they prepare your pizza and it turns awesome out! Indredients taste super delicious and high quality. The pizza sauce taste also super fresh and homemade!!! Staff is super friendly, especiallly Dimitri!!! He is really friendly, dedicated and caring. I have never tried the more refreshing, juicy, and tasty pizza in my life. It's warm and refreshing at the same time! The ingredients were all fresh. The sandwich with chopped pork was a bit dry but it was tasty. I definitely recommend this place. It's a must!
