A new Thai restaurant in the newest hotel in Doha, Saffron in Banyan Tree Hotel. Located on the 26th floor with amazing views of Msheireb, Al Bidda Park and Corniche. Started off with their amuse-bouche, incredibly flavorful. Then for the starters we tried their platter that includes chicken satay, seabass spring roll, noodle deep fried shrimp, and a shrimp pomelo salad. All of these accompanied with their homemade dipping sauces of peanut sauce, sweet chili sauce and tamarind sauce. Honestly they were all delicious, especially the shrimp pomelo salad. Before the main course, they gave us palate cleansers, which was a bright and tangy sorbet. For the main course we tried their chicken green curry, beef tenderloin with chili, seabass in sweet chili sauce and pad thai shrimp. The best dishes were the chicken green curry and pad Thai shrimp, it was amazingly spicy, sweet, and tangy all at once. Along with this they provide their 4 rices of Jasmine, Saffron, brown and red, a very nice touch. To end it off we tried their mango sticky rice that included the classic mango sticky rice, a deep fried mango sticky rice (unexpected but delicious) and a coconut ice cream (this was unique because they smoke their coconuts before turning it into ice cream so it was a bit weird to me). The price was a bit too much even if it was in a five star hotel. But I would still like to visit again.

I had dinner here last week after 2 months of closure due to Covid and I loved this place. The menu is not extensive, there are some very classic Thai dishes and some fusion ones. Everything was good, there are a few vegetarian dishes too. I loved the attention to details. Also I was offered a couple of treats before the ordered food arrived and a lovely sweet dish to share at the end. The service is very attentive, but not intrusive. Still dry, as they are waiting for the license. We were 3 and we spent 400 qr. with 3 mains ordered and one bottle of water. It is a bit more expensive than other Thai restaurants in town, but it was worth.

Expensive but great food. It's one of those places you take your misus for an enjoyable and tasty evening. Dinner was on point. Pre-Appetizers in bite sized snack forms. Satay and the coconut chicken soup was yum. Following palate cleansers and the fruity slushie was very pleasing and cool to the palate. Main dish of Duck coconut curry with different types of rice was just the right amount of spiciness with thick creamy curry. Pad Thai prawns was also very bold in its curated taste and rightly seasoned. Dessert with 3 types or cream brulé was light, Mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream left us full and satisfied. Very good service and will visit again.

My first time at Saffron was a gastronomic delight... The food was deceptively minuscule, tasty, and filling. We enjoyed every morsel and will come again. The staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. Our hostess explained every dish before we consumed and sought our experience afterwards.

We had an enchanting culinary journey at Saffron restaurant in Doha during its Thai Food Festival. Delighted in an array of vibrant flavors and aromatic spices as the skilled chefs craft authentic Thai dishes. The ambiance is transformed into a haven of Thai culture, enhancing the dining experience. Each dish is a masterpiece, blending traditional techniques with contemporary presentation. From the zesty Tom Yum soup to the indulgent mango sticky rice, every bite is a symphony of tastes. Immersed ourself in the rich tapestry of Thai gastronomy, complemented by warm hospitality and a setting that transports you to the heart of Thailand. A big thank you to the wonderful chef Ms Eumanan and her amazing team lead by Mr Hari, for giving us a memorable dining experience !!

Tried the afternoon tea at Saffron, Banyan Tree Doha. Advantages: very quite, nice location/view, nice decor، tea was good (TWG). Disadvantages: food was not as expected, nothing as seen on websites/ previous ads. Very expensive relative to the service/ quality of food: 150 per person (paid for 3 guests, however were served for 2 instead: we were given 2 pots of tea, sandwiches, scons and desserts only for 2. When we inquired afterwards about the service, we were told that the standard serving is for 2 and would be refilled only when asked!! This information should've been given before serving, not after paying the bill). Service was below expectations and should be improved. No other drinks were offered (although previous images/ ads show otherwise).

First experience The place is amazing, nice view , cosy and chic The food was excellent, a variety of flavours in one bite, mouth watering !! the chef came to our table , she is very smiling and welcoming Suggestions: - you may find some of the dishes very spicy , it was the only inconvenience, so it will better to ask the customer about eating spicy / or not - Add a business lunch menu - Even if the prices worth some dishes , using apps like entertainer will be more attractive for sure I do recommend this restaurant, it's one of the best Thai restaurants in town

Not sure why the rating isn't that high because the service was absolutely top and the food was amazing. The tom yum soup was just so good and so was everything else. If you want authentic Thai food in Doha, do come here! The chef came by at the end of the dinner and asked for feedback. Super!

Tasty food! All taste familiar and correct! I took the brunch package. Apparently they just opened the brunch package 2 weeks ago. Selection of food is quite varies, portion is decent for per person. In summary it was worth the money. The chef is from Thai, so that another plus point. She greeted us after our meals and spent sometimes to explain the dish that she prepared for us. Thank you Saffron Doha for the delicious food!

One of the worst Thai restaurants. Quite pricey but food is tasteless. Spring rolls were extremely basic Courgette we’re tasteless. Papaya salad was overwhelmed with too much of fish sauce. Better than this is Isaan Thai . Even the hospitality is originally Thai in Isaan .

If you're a Thai food lover and you appreciate being spoiled in a luxurious atmosphere and service, you have to try Saffron. Located on the 24th floor of Banyan Tree hotel (Oasis Doha Mall), Saffron offers exquisite twist on Thai food. We also had the pleasure to meet the lovely Head chef Emmanan which was a nice gesture from their part. Every plate was amazing, couldn't stop eating!

One of the best restaurants we’ve tried in Doha in its class. The food was artistically presented but most of all delicious. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavour. The restaurant also has a beautiful view of Doha including West Bay and the Corniche. Highly recommend visiting.
