A
new
Thai
restaurant
in
the
newest
hotel
in
Doha,
Saffron
in
Banyan
Tree
Hotel.
Located
on
the
26th
floor
with
amazing
views
of
Msheireb,
Al
Bidda
Park
and
Corniche.
Started
off
with
their
amuse-bouche,
incredibly
flavorful.
Then
for
the
starters
we
tried
their
platter
that
includes
chicken
satay,
seabass
spring
roll,
noodle
deep
fried
shrimp,
and
a
shrimp
pomelo
salad.
All
of
these
accompanied
with
their
homemade
dipping
sauces
of
peanut
sauce,
sweet
chili
sauce
and
tamarind
sauce.
Honestly
they
were
all
delicious,
especially
the
shrimp
pomelo
salad.
Before
the
main
course,
they
gave
us
palate
cleansers,
which
was
a
bright
and
tangy
sorbet.
For
the
main
course
we
tried
their
chicken
green
curry,
beef
tenderloin
with
chili,
seabass
in
sweet
chili
sauce
and
pad
thai
shrimp.
The
best
dishes
were
the
chicken
green
curry
and
pad
Thai
shrimp,
it
was
amazingly
spicy,
sweet,
and
tangy
all
at
once.
Along
with
this
they
provide
their
4
rices
of
Jasmine,
Saffron,
brown
and
red,
a
very
nice
touch.
To
end
it
off
we
tried
their
mango
sticky
rice
that
included
the
classic
mango
sticky
rice,
a
deep
fried
mango
sticky
rice
(unexpected
but
delicious)
and
a
coconut
ice
cream
(this
was
unique
because
they
smoke
their
coconuts
before
turning
it
into
ice
cream
so
it
was
a
bit
weird
to
me).
The
price
was
a
bit
too
much
even
if
it
was
in
a
five
star
hotel.
But
I
would
still
like
to
visit
again.
