Poor services and worst ambience. Handled not by Indian servers. They are very rude and unfortunately we ordered food here. Better eat in Uzbek hotel then this one. Food given no plate and spoon we asked and they brought at their continent. Almost at the end of eating we get the salt I ordered. Very worst experience. It seems a scam in terms of Indian Restaurant other Indian who experienced same can post more to make aware of locals what they eat is not authentic.

Had a delicious meal. Tikka Masala, Butter nan and rice. The sauce was nice and sweet tomato with blend of spices and chilli, they added cream so it gives it a good creamy flavour. I really enjoyed my time and have to give credit to the chef. One of the best food experiences I had in Tashkent. I recommend this place to everyone who loves Indian cuisine.

Waitress throws rubbish into the river rather than putting it in the bin. There is a 25% service charge which they do not disclose at any point and refuse to allow you to remove. Food was okay though.

As a tourist who pays with cash I have no issue with cash payments but service is problematic nonetheless as though I asked for a very spicy dish especially, it almost tasted a bit like dessert than a full on curry. That is sad to say the least. Naan were good but the potato filled one was missing from the mixed bread basket, they also could not specify the type of oil used for jeera rice, and malai kofta had a nice sauce but the kofta itself was crumbly and almost a bit sweet… Not a bad meal per se but the quality does not warrant a 20% service fee at all.

A rather average Indian restaurant located in a little hidden courtyard. We ordered two curry dishes and some garlic naan to share. The food was good enough for somewhere Indian cuisine is not considered as a common choice. The loud Indian TV drama in the background certainly doesn’t help with creating a nice ambiance.

I felt really uncomfortable in the restaurant. I waited twenty minutes to even be able to order (had to go up to him and try to get his attention to order everything he was coming to the other people's tables to collect their orders). The food was not great. The flavors did not taste very fresh/intense. I was told that I needed to have my facemask on the table because I am German (eventhough I have not been home in months and have already had covid). To pay, I also had a hard time getting his attention enough to be able to pay (of course he did not come to the table). It just was a terrible restaurant experience. I can not recommend at all.

Captain and the waiters not even smiling or welcoming, They are looking whether we are south Indian or North Indian based on that treatment varies. We waited just for jeera rice more than 20 mins after we finished naans. Zero customer service. When we completed the meal they asked me whether it's a first time visit for me, I replied yes but it might be the last time. Captain replied back no problem which shows that they don't want us really.

I was really disappointed in this place. I am always looking out for some good Indian food. I walked in because I liked the decor, particularly the elephants, but that was it. I was interested in the menu, but then they told me that most of the stuff in the menu was not available. I would have just left, but I really needed to use a bathroom. The chicken curry and the butter naan wasn't good at all, and the service was bad. They didn't even provide napkins! I got out of there as soon as I could. Good luck to the next person who tried this place out. Hopefully you will have a lot better experience than I did.

The food is quite good and nicely presented; loved the desert! People were friendly and the atmosphere is nice. However service was very slow and the price is a bit too steep in comparison with similar places in Tashkent and Uzbekistan. Also, they allow inside smoking which for us is no longer normal or desired when having dinner.

To be honest! this is the best restaurant from 100 places that I had ever tried in this country, namely, the price is cheaper and clearly reasonable as well as the taste is superb! Every waiter and waitress can speak english and they provide an English menu as well. I am pretty sure you will be satisfied and enjoy with every dish in this restaurant.

Had food here yesterday. Food & service was good. They did say they can do home delivery. So ordered home delivered lunch for today 31/7/22. Curry came half inside & rest outside the box. They need to improve their packing to ensure customer gets what they paid for. Delivery seems to be done by random taxi guy. I had to pay 30% extra as delivery charges to they guy who delivered it even though it’s hardly 1km from my place. Informed The Host that half the dish had spilled inside the bag due to improper packing. They apologised & said “NEXT” time when I order they will give extra gravy. Not sure what that means. Anyway not a great thing a hungry would want to hear. So if you are ordering home delivery be prepared to pay a premium on delivery charges & possibly spilled over food. My bad that I noticed the spilled food immediately after the delivery guy left as the food boxes comes in a paper bag & the spillage will not be visible unless you open the paper bag. So if you are ordering home delivery pay only after you ensure that food is packed properly & not spilled & ask The Host approx delivery charges while placing the order.

I have been regular at your restaurant, today we have been served rotting smelling mix veg , I have called the waiter he took it abd the owner lady came to fight , she rwfused to accept that the one dish was rotten.I told her we will pay for that dish but please take it back She was happy ..she charged us for that dish and also argued that it is okay. ON TOP of it she says go to SES ( sanitary department ) , we were astonished at her behaviour and she has seen me with family visiting minimum 10 times with family and other times with other guests .We are not the ones who would like to save 4 USD equivalent money of a dish.Instead of taking the valuable feedback with thanks she started fighting with us .Very terrible experience.

A good restaurant for someone travelling to Tashkent and craving Indian food. Only vegetarian food! Positives: 1) Surprisingly, got the food in just 10 mins 2) Decent taste though sabzi was a bit sweet. 3) Naan was actually Naan and so was Roti Issues: 1) Card not accepted. 2) Limited options They don't charge service fee of 20% unlike Raaj Kapur who is actually a fraud. I come from the captial of India so when I say food was decent you know what I mean.

Craving for Indian food, head to The Host and let Noor Bhai host you. Excellent Hindi/English speaking Kazakh host managing this entire restaurant serving delicious Indian food in Tashkent. Please ignore the negative reviews on google, we read them and had gone to this place with a confused mindset, but the excellent service, good food, nice atmosphere and super friendly host made our evening. The restaurant is very close to Tashkent metro station, We had a full course Indian vegetarian meal, and it was more than what I would expect in Uzbekistan. Portion sizes are adequate and you can ask for your spice level while ordering. Highly recommended for Indian meal!! Go without any hesitation.

When entered the place there was no patrons even though the time was 13.00 lunch time. I got suspicious but continued with big hope. We ordered three types of curry meal with chicken. Three of it does not even closely taste like Indian cuisine. Service is 2+ out of 5. When we got the bill I asked to remove the surcharge of 15% ... since we have communicated that the food doesn't taste with curry at all and we are not to finish eating. Of course the manager Murad didn't do nothing to address our complaint. Anyway first and the last time here & do not recommend if you are looking for authentic indian meal. Two stars because of their courage to open the Indian cousinie

Salad, soups, bread were excellent but rooms for improvement on mains. Soups and salads were good. Particularly enjoy the flatbreads as they were made fresh in-house and served warm. Chicken shashlik was good but other meat dishes to be a little heavy handed with salt. English menu available and staff speak ok English to get by. If the weather permits, sit outside as the open kitchen left us smelling like kitchen when we left. Service was warm and friendly. Prepare to pay US$8-15 person including wine. (No dessert) very reasonable.

Its neither flashy or large, but the food is really delicious. And it does not have the feeling of a tourist trap that you can get in some places. This well-run restaurant aims to deliver Uzbek cuisine with a contemporary touch, breathing life into old favourites such as pumpkin manty (steamed dumplings), cheburek pastries and hanum (dough roll stuffed with vegetables). The decor is understated, with stylish geometric wood designs favoured over the ethnographic museum approach. The four-course set business lunch is a steal at 30,000S

The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and the price was low. Medium steak with vegetables, beer 500ml was about 85000 sum. I thought I would do more if I had a delicious steak in Japan. The service fee was 20% (20% was 85,000 Sum), but it was a very good staff, so could it be so cheap? I even thought. Since it is about 15 minutes on foot from the Navoy Theater, I think that it is also possible to stop by. I don’t like this hotel at all. First of all attitude of the owner. Second taste is not to the level like there are charging. Overall not a good option for good food.

The food is really good. You get the great Indian taste in Tashkant. Best in town Indian restaurant!

I've had The Host twice now, once for takeout and once for delivery. I definitely recommend trying it. It's quite good Indian food (from the perspective of a North American), and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are also very nice, very polite, and while you have to call/Telegram to order for delivery/takeout instead of using an app, the process is easy and straightforward. If you get the chance to drop by and eat in the restaurant, it's near a good spot for beer, as well. So far my favourite curry is the Chicken Kadhai, and my wife likes the Chicken Tikka Masala. Samosas are also great!

Very Good Quality and Taste of Food. Ecnomical for groups.Home delivery is also on time. Only they need to improve the size of Naan and quality. Highly recomended for people who love to eat Indian Spice

What a great spot! Considering the heat, we weren’t terribly disappointed that all the outside seating was taken. The inside was cool and lovely in its own way. We had paneer butter masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, saffron rice, and a couple beers. We ate every bit. I’ve tried two other restaurants in Tashkent that serve Indian food, but this was the best by far.

The Host - is a must visit spot those who loves Indian authentic cuisine located in heart of Tashkent, Oybek 65. I had enjoyed the food multiple time as well as we had a new party there. Good ambience and tasty dishes... thank you the hospitality too..

The host is one of few indian restaurants in Tashkent and probably the best, serving a decent indian food. They have interesting veg and nonveg options including tandoori items. The restaurant is located next to a canal and is very ideal to chill out on outside sitting with cold beer. The ambience is pleasant and wonderful hosts Rohit and his wife are always willing to make you comfortable and tune food to your taste. You can even carry your own favourite liquor. For the local indian community, this restaurant is a favorite hangout.

The Host a good restaurant to satisfy your home craving for Indian meal. I visited the restaurant and the staff was very polite and took our order with clarity Second time I order the food online and the food was hot and delivered in time. Yes the delivery charges are extra but yes the food is worth it. I have been satisfying my lunch needs by ordering from this restaurant Only point of concern please place your order atleast 1 hour earlier

I asked the staff to speak to the chef, but they outright refused. I am here on holiday, and wanted to speak to th chef for a special order. They informed me that they have been informed by their boss and owner not to allow any customers to speak to their chef which I find very strange. Their servers could not care so I walked straight out of there. Is this the way to treat someone who needs to place a special order? I am disgusted at this place. Also there were too many flies in the restaurant which also put me off. I am sitting at a Turkish restaurant right across the street.

The only reason I am putting 3 is that curry and rice are of decent quality. Service is terrible. Food took almost one hour to prepare. People who came late got served earlier than us. Waiters forgot to bring what we ordered. At 8pm, when we finally got to order, they did not have many items in the menu. Before 9pm, they even ran out of rice - at an Indian restaurant! Overall, unpleasant experience. Chef is good, but all the rest must improve. Otherwise no decent indian restaurant left in town.

The chicken tikka was not chicken tikka and the chicken was not fresh. It tasted old so I left it and ate the curry sauce. The nans were decent and the papri chaat was very bad. Could be because I was alone and went for lunch when they are not busy? Either way, not a good experience.

I've been to THE HOST restaurant over 10 times now and the food still is the BEST. The service is GREAT as well ... the restaurant even delivered to me at the airport on time before my flight.

The food in this restaurant is very delicious. If you like hot spice, I highly recommend it. This is the best price / performance in Tashkent. There is only one problem, the food arrives 45 minutes after the order.

I ordered chicken tikka and Hyderabadi biryani . Both tasted good . Quantity didn’t meet the expectations, quantity of both dishes too less for the prices . Couldn’t see Indian staff . Visa cards not accepted.
