I've been coming to the Detroit zoo my entire life. Of course zoos are a touchy subject now a days, but I've always felt that the Detroit zoo has gone above and beyond to take care of their animals and make sure they are happy. I also love the new Red Panda exhibit. Would love to see a rework to the reptile house, but other than that I love it. I can't wait to continue to bring my family here, and someday my grandchildren. 😁

Beautiful layout. Very large zoo so plan to be there early of you want to see everything. Must wear face masks now due to pandemic. Try to reserve online at least 4 days in advance for best savings on ticket prices. Parking is a pretty penny but we parked about a block away and walked to save the 8 bucks. Most of the attractions were closed when we went but we still got to see quite a few animals. For the price though you definitely want to call ahead and see if the attractions are being maintenance or if they are available. Wouldn't want to waste a trip on only being able to see half a zoo. Besides that kids had fun

Decent zoo set in a country park or forest... there were lots of trees anyway. Some of the enclosures leave a bit to be desired but there are ongoing improvements and they seem committed to the welfare of the animals. As with any zoo a lot of the animals were in hiding (although my suspicion is that they advertise animals they don't actually have #FakeZoos). I caught the jungle cat unaware and saw it licking itself but it soon made a retreat of shame. Enjoyed the time there, access was easy with the Tallinn card. If your Google Maps are anything like mine do not believe them. Get off at the Zoo bus stop (clue is in the name) and the entrance is right beside you. Maps seemed to want me to use the entrance at the opposite side of the Zoo.

I've been to many zoos in KZ, but this one is really the best. Even Almaty zoo is not so good for me. The new places for animals and overall household is really good. Arfica is cool!

Such an amazing place near Shymkent zoo is called Baiydibek bi monument. The historical museum is just nearby.

If you haven't been to Toledo, you could think that the walk through the lights is one of the best family holiday traditions you can find in Metro Detroit. Lots of places to get food and drink. Path clearly marked. I might be back in a few years to see what they added.

Exceptional efforts were made and we will be returning next year to see their wonderful display. Scheduled ticket times kept crowds safely social distanced. Pick a day that you are feeling adventurous, bundle up, and head to the zoo! The animals are so much more lively in this weather and bonus there are much fewer people to share the good viewing spots with. You must reserve your time spot and entry tickets online before your visit. Time slots are staggered so there are fewer people passing through making social distancing easier. The refreshment stands are closed however I believe the Buddy's Pizza Restaurant was open for business. Dress warm and have fun!

We love the Detroit zoo! It's always a blast, even during non-sunny days. We regularly visit their Wild Lights show as well. This was our first year experiencing it with our daughter (the past 4 years have just been us as a couple) and it was hands-down my favorite year yet!

I went to the zoo on January 2, 2021 with one my children. A lot of exhibits were closed. Penguin, amphibian, reptile, butterfly building, and one area was under construction. We still got to see some wonderful animals. The Tiger brothers were playing. One of the red pandas was high up in a tree, and we enjoyed our time.

Several of the walking paths are closed as well due to not being shoveled. Rest assured, the gift shop is fully open to catch you on your way out. Super disappointed, wont be back.

The Zoo lights this year was better than ever. My family has been going to this event for several years and it only gets bigger and better each time. Great place for kids. Lots of greenery and lovely collection of animals and birds. The signs are very helpful for navigation as it is huge and one can get lost there. There are small ice cream shops every few meters, which is great in summers. Public transport connectivity is also pretty good and good amount of parking space outside the zoo.

Take enough time to spend a whole day there. Also, make sure to have 20cent coins so you can buy bird food and feed it to the birds in the water. Feeding them was so much fun 😊

Tallinn Zoo has huge grounds, a well established breeding progamme with many successes and includes an adventure park with assisted tree climbing, several kiosks, cafes/restaurants. And you can see a couple of polar bears swimming or walking up close to you. A rare sight indeed.

The zoo was good but after going there I was upset about that why animal should be in the cage and people watching them, I think that was my last time too go to the zoo .that is not about Tallinn zoo its about every zoo, everywhere. Animal have rights to be free like us.
