Qilou Old Street Very unique architecture with lots of shopping. Less place to sit unless you patron the restaurants. Recommended food is the salt baked chicken with congee. Nearby this area, there is a fresh seafood market on the whole stretch of the street. It is smelled of fresh seafood and you can easily spot it.

Nice local and historical place to be captured. You can take photos of many object from old buildings. Nice place for walking and sight seeing. But beware of electric motorcycle run around the street and the sidewalk. There's a plaza to take pictures and meet up here. There's also a shop sells delicious pia. The pia fill with many kinds of bean; green bean, yellow bean, red bean, also nut. The pia skin is very crispy; super delicious pia you have to try if you visit Haikou.

A couple of old streets lined with old shop houses retailing almost anything ..just like any tourist area in any country. Really nothing much but still worth a walk..

It is an old town arcade style street, and for you who had a passion amd challenged yourself for unique foods, THIS IS moght be the perfect place to be,,,,unfortunately i only had 1 and a half hour,,,reducing with dinner time that i made it fast for about 30minutes. So i cant give clear and obvious facts and datas about this area. Bit if you are going to make a trip around this area, you can try this places ,,,at night,,,the colonial aechitectur of the arcades made a apecial panorama for your eyes. Not highly recommended but worth to try...

Nice heritage shoplots with an interesting mix of cafes, hostels/hotels, restaurants and retailers selling almost everything. What was really cool though, were the metal statues depicting life from a different time.

Place for picture taking. We were probably there too early so not a lot of stores were open. Not alot of visitor or local people either.

One of my favorite places to visit in Haikou city. I stop by for lunch or dinner at the end of the "Old Town" street and if the main temple is open I go there as well as the museum. They have Hanfu dress shops and handmade jewelry and other items for sale along the street. Great place for tourists and first timers in Haikou. I live in Haikou but I go back every 6 months or so just for fun.

Here you can see lots of vintage articles of history, buy coconuts or eat the local delight: a concoction of coconut jelly, lentil please, milk, watermelon and more in a sort of drink.

historical building converted to the shopping I got some nice “tiger eye” bracelet with a really good price. I bumped into a hidden Mazu temple. The goddess for the fisherman and sailor.

It is a tourist destination. Lots of shops, restaurants and some very nice coffee places. There are a number of hotels. I stayed at the Fanghao-Shiyi Guesthouse. It was very nice.
