Beautiful experience. My Nepalese friend took me here today and the priest was super lovely and asked for what I was praying for, I replied that I was praying for my grandpa to have a successful divorce from a woman who was abusing him financially. I felt fully accepted even as a Chinese and the priest seemed to care deeply and provided a special prayer. The whole place was clean and beautiful. I would love to come back.

Peaceful place to have Lord Shiva darshan. Plenty of car parking spaces here. Did my Vahana pooja today and it was a good experience. The poojari did the pooja in an authentic way. Lord Shiva bakths will love this temple. The temple also accepts navadhanya daanam. We donated navadhanyas today, each 1kg. At first we thought the temple may not accept daanams due to security reasons. But we are pleased to know that they are happy to take daanams. This is a great service!! Also the temple view is amazing today. Also just got to know that there are plenty of disability parking available. Added some pics😀

Beautiful temple. This temple constructed by tamil origin Australian. Murugun is main god for Tamils and he has many names . Few names are kanda, subramanyam, karthikeya,. He is son of lord shiva and parvathi devi who is also called as durga ,sathi devi ,kalikasan etc. Sydney murugan temple is famous in Sydney where most of indian origin visit the temple and seek his blessing. Murugan killed tarakasura who was torchering humans in ancient times. He married devasena and valli. So you can see these comman names in indian origin people. The temple is peaceful and quite. You can do medication after having darshanam. There is private marriage functional . If you want to marry in hindu traditional you can contact the temple committee. Now a days sydney bus drivers are stopping near to the temple. I appreciate their effort in helping devotees.

The Sydney Murugan Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, is a spiritual oasis in the heart of Western Sydney. This beautifully adorned temple radiates a sense of peace and devotion. Visitors can experience intricate Hindu architecture and participate in religious ceremonies. The temple also hosts cultural events and festivals, offering a glimpse into South Indian traditions. It’s a serene place for both worship and cultural exploration, attracting devotees and tourists alike. Disable assisted parking… plenty parking well maintained with social worker and the priest. One of the clean and tidiest spiritual temple.

Today, I visited a temple and found myself deeply overwhelmed by the behavior of the priests. Allow me to provide further details. I paid $15 for the archanai with fruits and an additional $5 for the karpura Arthie. As we patiently awaited the archanai plate from the priest, it became evident that he displayed little concern for our presence. He seemed to act according to his own whims, disregarding our expectations. Considering the sanctity of the temple, I strongly believe that he should have shown greater reverence towards God. As a priest, it is essential for him to wholeheartedly embody his role. Recently, I have been contemplating obtaining the sacred thread (Sami Kayiru) to tie around my wrist. In my personal experience, this thread has never been associated with any monetary charge. In fact, in my country, priests are dedicated to serving God and do not request any compensation for such rituals. This sacred thread is widely regarded as a divine blessing, serving as a powerful safeguard against malevolent spirits.

Sydney Murugan Temple is a celestial haven that gracefully combines spiritual sanctity with architectural splendor. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes, the temple's intricate carvings and vibrant hues evoke a sense of divinity. The air is filled with the fragrance of incense, creating a tranquil ambiance that invites introspection. The rhythmic chants and melodious hymns further elevate the spiritual experience, making it a place of solace and enlightenment. If you're a local you will still find this place of worship is still quiet intriguing. For the regulars it provides more opportunity to meet up others from similar cultural background. If you want a quiet time to worship then go there during week days either early mornings or afternoons.

Went here for a friend's wedding so didn't actually go into the temple. Will be back for darshan another time. The food at the wedding was catered by the temple kitchen and was simply delicious! The grounds were neat and well maintained.

My most favourite temple in Sydney. Great vibes and love every aspect of the temple. If you love peace and quiet time with God, visit during non peak hours and non festive days. If you love crowd and relive the bustling, festive vibes of temples in India visit during festive days. Parking is ample but not enough during festive days. You can park around the neighborhood streets and there are no time limits. An onsite, multi-level parking is in plan, but with the current situation not sure on when that would be ready. The temple is well maintained, clean and inviting. The temple grounds have well maintained flowering plants and looks pleasing. There are adequate, well maintained toilets in the temple. A must visit divine place🙏

A serene and pious place open everyday. The place was also my first temples in Sydney. The architecture is very much similar to the lord Venkateshwar temple in Helenaburgh and Lakshmi temple in Regents park. Lots of parking space with its own restaurant if u want to have South Indian food.

Toilets.....They are quite clean, but the door locks are out of order. There is no door lock in toilet for the wheelchair people. I went about looking for a toilet with a working lock..

A nice and peaceful Hindu temple with traditional and cultural activities held regularly. People often visit the temple to connect with their faith. There's also a canteen that serves South and North Indian cuisine from breakfast up to lunch. There's also an open area which can be booked for special events such as traditional weddings.

A well eatablished sacred and devotional place close to bustling Parramatta. You will find idols of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Murugan along with Navagraha and utsava murtis. Chariot ceremony, homa and other special rituals happen on auspicious days. You can follow Facebook or checkout their website for events happening in future.

A peaceful atmosphere with the priests constantly chanting Sanskrit verses. I have been there on weekdays and weekends - doesn't get too crowded. A beautiful temple - not too big nor too small. Ample car parking space.

Temple is good... there is a canteen also... But check the timing of the canteen if you're planning for a snack or lunch... Parking available... Kids friendly 🙂 not so crowded in weekdays.... fruit Prasad available for offering with a little pay... Overall experience quite good 😊... Do visit if staying in Sydney...

One of the beautiful Hindu temples in the western suburbs. This is very close by for lot of the Tamil community, and the Tamil library is not far from the temple. The temple also has the group for the youth. The temple is beautiful and on Friday night, you can get really tasty and vegetarian food.

There is so much positivity & divinity in this temple, I forget all my worries once I am there and at times I even forget what I have to pray as I am engrossed in the positivity. Temple is always well maintained even the temple toilets are very clean and the staffs are very friendly.

Divine and a very good place. This temple gives all the positive vibes and feels just like visiting a temple back in India. They have a very good Cafeteria too which is open in the evening hours during the weekends.

  • 5/5 Sabin R. 1 year ago on Google
I really find this place peaceful. I love going to this temple. I don't know it is right to mention or not, the devotee must not wear shorts to go inside this temple however some of the pandits don't wear anything above their hip. Being Hindu from Nepal I don't understand the logic.

  • 5/5 Shishir M J. 2 years ago on Google
Calm clean and we can find deities of most of the Hindu gods. Cleanly maintained toilets. Ample car parking spots. Good food during non covid times. Best place in Sydney to visit a Hindu temple.
