The hotel is in a great location, its close to a variety of key places. The rooms a nice and clean (although starting to show their age a little) and well laid out. The only issue we had was the bed, the king beds are made up from 2 king single beds (this is normal) however the 2 mattresses were different heights and softness. Couple this up with some truly terrible pillows and it made for a bad night sleep. Great hotel overall with some great facilities, they just need to sort the beds out

We just arrived at Rydges Norwest Sydney for our Anniversary holiday and was greeted with a beautiful complementary cheese platter and red wine, from the hotel General Manager David. Thank you It was pleasant surprise the staff our giving us excellent service and the room is made up to a high standard. ❤️❤️❤️

We went for a High Tea 🍵 and it cost $39 per head. There were 6 of us and we got a lovely sparkling wine 🍾 on arrival 2 platter of 3 tier plates one on each end of the table full of savoury and sweets 😋 and bottomless cups of various kinds of coffee ☕ and different types of tea 🍵. The staff were fantastic 👏 very friendly and helpful, even taking photos of our group of ladies. It was clean and tidy and at the checkout was sanitising lotion. I will definitely go there again and I'd recommend it to everyone. I think that it's the best High Tea in the Hills area and fantastic value for money. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon to all the staff.

Worst Room Service. Put an order for Room service which included some drinking water as this hotel don’t supply bottled water ( you have to order via room service and pay extra $5 tray charge) got delivered for an hour. When called the reception they said they will follow up. Call them again to put an official complaint as room doesn’t have drinking bottled water the reception said will put on Log ??? What a Joke. As a business traveller I don’t suggest this hotel to anyone. I would give 0 star if I could. I have stayed in some budget hotels which has better services. Also, just wanted to add that please do not choose the breakfast services. Very limited option. Takes a long time to refill. Requested to refill the scrambled eggs and Rice took a long time and again refilled with enough for couple of people. Paid money to just eat Mushrooms, Bacon and Sausages. Just responding to the manager: It was not busy when I visited the tea in the morning there were barely few people there, please stop giving excuses and accept the issues at the hotel. The point regarding Tap water, I don’t drink Tap water anywhere only bottles or filtered water. Didn’t mind paying the fees but the point was no one cared about bringing the drinks even after waiting for an hour. Just forget it mate

Had high tea for a bridal party. Good variety for food but would prefer if there were more savoury options. Mostly tasty food. Tea definitely needs to be a different brand or more stronger. When milk was added, tea looked white (English breakfast tea) - way too weak. Good, friendly service by all as well. Overall, good experience though. :)

Rooms are nice, the only things I would say are it's annoying is there's no ceiling light so you have to go around and turn all the lamps on, and only free to air TV, unless you want to pay $15 for a movie. If that doesn't bother you it's great. It was close to my work location so good for me, aside from that it's very isolated if you're planning on walking. Everything considered, I would stay here again.

Worst customer service, our family booked for 5 night in this Hotels. Day 1 we ran out of toilet paper, we asked front desk for extra rolls, but they refused and saying we should have enough in our room, after explaining to them that we run out of toilet paper, then they told us to wait in the room for someone to send it. Why??? not just gave it to us directly, its just toilet paper. Day 2 ,after a long trip to Jenolan Caves (6 hours drive in totals), we arrived (exhausted) at the hotel at 11 PM. We found out there is no hot shower in our room, we called the front desk twice and they end up hanging up on us rudely without resolution. I went to the front desk in person and spoke to duty manager Liam who is rude and has a bad attitude. He keep telling me to see his manager in the morning without offering any solutions and keep saying nothing he can do. The whole interaction was not pleasant and dissapointing, he was avoiding eye contact and unapologetic as well. I asked him, if we can get replacement room, he took a long time ignoring me standing in front of the foyer, finally after a long wait he told me to use other room just for shower and return to our room after we are done. It would be much better experience for us, if he offer us that options in the beginning, instead of being rude and dismissive. I hope the front office staff have further training in customer services. The only good thing in this hotel is all the dining staffs, very professional and goes above and beyond to assist us enjoying our dining experience. Day 3, no hot shower again, went to see front office again, surprised to see other 4 customers was complaining with same issue. Bed was comfy, although Our room was not in the good shape, sink has a crack, carpet is outdated and room has musty smell. Definitely need a good maintenance. Sadly, we wont be returning customer in the future.

Hotel is a bit old, first night there was no hot water for many rooms ( 6 people were at the desk complaining) Liam, the duty manager offered compensation of full refund for the night and an option to take a shower in a different room !! Next day he mentioned that he did not get a permission from his manager for the full refund and offered 50% only. It’s a shame that a duty manager gave us empty promises just to ease the anger. Not sure about other guests but hope they read this and comment. Did not check the pool, but looks ok. Room service is really good and friendly.

Hosted a high tea party at Rydges for my daughter's 13th birthday!! Extremely wonderful experience right from the start. Fantastic arrangements, great food and above all excellent service. The staff at Rebellion Bar and grill was so friendly and helpful. They took great care of the dietery requirements of all the kids and when we realized last minute that there was one more kid who was vegetarian they readily prepared additional vegetarian wraps. This is truly a hidden gem and what makes this place great is the attentive and friendly staff. So happy that my daughter's milestone birthday was celebrated just the way we had planned it. Highly recommend Rydges Norwest!! 💕

The staff were friendly and helpful. The air conditioner was rattling so we needed to change rooms, the following day only half the room was made up with the cleaning sprays left behind, There were not enough towels, the beds were not made & bins not cleaned out. The bathroom was cleaned. Definitely not worth what we paid! Overall disappointing & we regretted booking there.

Enjoyed Stay here at Rydges Norwest Sydney. Rooms were pleasent, Clean, We came here at Saturday Night hence no notable service staff was available. Front Desk / Duty Manager Albert was bit confused at starting but later he helped us. Night Shift Duty Manager Aman was really helpful. He has given us a quick guided tour for nearby locations and as we were tired he given us an extended Checkout time. Overall Experience was wonderful and sitting on porch here in afternoon listing to Music was really calming and soothing. The place has its own calming and soothing vibes. Will recommend for Family and Friends. Please Check Package before booking if it's includes Breakfast.

My expectations were high as Rydges has a very good name and reputation… we were very disappointed though with Rydges Norwest!!! The hotel was run down, the carpet in our room was lifting up making it hard for me to move around as I’m in a wheelchair, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 90’s with cracked tiles and a constant musty smell plus a toilet that hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, our air conditioning was also broken making for a very uncomfortable hot night sleep! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Had a fantastic high tea here with my extended family for a special birthday celebration. The staff were super helpful and catered for our special dietary requirements of nut and gluten free food. We called ahead and they were happy to help. We really enjoyed our day out eating here. Hope to do it again soon for another special event. Thanks staff for being awesome!

Quite oddly this hotel reminds me so much of a horror movie..... something like the shining..... long corridors... old and dated decor .... a lift that moaned and groaned as it moved.... Room... large and clean enough.... but again very dated.... been a long time since I've stood in a bath on a rubber suction mat to take a shower Staff.... amazing... friendly and got on with the job with a smile. On site pub.... cold beer and reasonably priced. Food.... I had dinner twice and breakfast once. Dinner I would definitely describe as very decent pub food, but unfortunately at hotel prices..... half the pricing and it's a great meal. Breakfast.... well.... I avoided it the second day as it was that bad the first.  Cold beans, plastic and tasteless bacon and scrambled eggs that tasted like they had used eggs that were off. Didn't try the fruit as it didn't look very fresh. There was also cereal on offer, didn't try this neither but looked ok I guess. Sort the food pricing and you've got yourself a very decent budget hotel 👌

Travelling for business I booked this accommodation due to location. This hotel is somewhat tired and in need of a refurb. Positives: bar and restaurant meals was 3/5, service 5/5. Negatives: Room A/C fan has one FAST speed only! Too loud for sleeping. Window doesn’t open, so no fresh air. Room 233 was in was next to the lift which was hideously noisy. Asked Mr Albert the receptionist to kindly move rooms and was told they couldn’t do anything even though they have 124 rooms? Very disappointed, will not return

The service by the staff was absolutely amazing. Continental breakfast options were plenty and great so we booked it for everyday of our stay for 5 days. 7 star service from James (i think) from the front desk and the Asian gentleman (i can't remember the name) who was doing house keeping in level 4. Thank you and will come again.

Comfortable suites with a good value buffet breakfast and decent gym. The garden and terrace were nicely atmospheric, too. Staff were friendly and helpful. My main complaint is that the bar/restaurant closed all day after breakfast on Sunday.

  • 3/5 Justene F. 11 months ago on Google
Lovely clean rooms. Helpful staff. The shower pressure wasn't great. Noise travelled from room to room (that is to be expected). Breakfast was not worth the extra $30. The breakfast staff were lovely, though. All in all it is a good place to stay for business purposes.

First time here with Mum and Brother. Loved it! Firstly was greeted warmly by Albert on Front desk - can't say enough great things about him, he was so friendly, attentive and generous. Secondly, our interconnecting rooms were tidy, clean, comfortable, warm and huge. Loved the location very close to Norwest Marketown shopping mall and Lakeside restaurants. We missed out on having High Tea on Saturday. But the buffet breakfast was very good indeed. Plenty of outdoor parking with several handicap spaces just outside the front entrance. All the other staff we met along the way were very friendly too. Can't fault the service here. We will be back for sure!

Horrible experience, would have checked out if not already so tired. Cons, Movie package not working, some lamps in room blown globes? some flickering, freezing room, noisy fan blowing cold air on max heat setting.... Second room, after extended time delay and complaining, damp smell, incomplete furnishing? loud fan, aircon control that illuminated the room, wife did not sleep. Pros, spacious rooms, room service food was ok, pancake machine a nice extra at buffet breakfast.

Great room and service. Received a free upgrade to a balcony. Great location with nice walking paths to the shops and cafes. Plenty of parking and really couldn’t fault the experience at all.

Coming to this venue to attend an event today (Saturday 1st) The food was awful. The steak was over cooked and very dry. I spoke to the waiters about it to let them know my disappointment. She can after with a place with vegetarian food, I don’t eat vegetarian food. She took it away. I paid big money for a lunch that was horrendous. This event had 120 people and they all raise their concerns about the dry and overcooked steak. I won’t come back to this venue ever!

What can we say! Rydges Norwest hosted our Wedding Reception, and the ultimate result was just amazing. Amy is a credit to Rydges, so happy and always a welcoming smile. Our face to face meetings were seamless. Always happy to answer our questions, and accommodate our many wishes for our special day. The Events Team. Gosh! Joel and Donna, it's only been a week, but your names keep popping up in conversation with our guests! And the rest of the team were delightful and always happy to assist. Kitchen - again, what can we say? No party without food! The menu has so many choices, it was hard to choose. Our guests with dietaries were very happy with their meals (including myself), and everyone said the food was delicious. Dee - compliments to your team! Our accommodation was brilliant, not having to worry about where to go after the reception, which was also utilised by a handful of our guests. Also, shout out to Mitchell, Joel and Lesley. Thank you for making the morning after a breeze! Thank you to everybody we cannot name! We had a great evening/event, and it's all thanks to you!

Peeling wall paper. Air conditioner remote doesn’t work, had to have someone from reception come and manually change the air con psychically in my room, still couldn’t turn off myself or raise temp etc. Bathroom sink had shaving foam with whiskers in it from previous person who stayed. Bar fridge is empty- not even a bottle of water. Have to call room service for a bottle of water or small milk tubs for a coffee. I would never stay here again.

Had to get a room for a late meeting. The rooms are nice. The elevator and plumbing sound like they have been there for many years. A little noisy but everything did work and the trip was successful and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well with plenty of vegetables and even since kale. They had other options like cereals and pancakes, but we like the fresh vegetables and breakfast meats. Coffee machine was a nice option to get a quick espresso.

I went for a work training day. The Rydges is clean. Smoking area's need to be posted and ash trays provided accordingly staff are friendly. The food is OK to good. I have not stayed in the rooms. So I cannot comment on them.

Came to a black tie 18th birthday. The faciities were exceptional. Concierge was very formal and polite. He directed our group to the function personally. The catering staff and the atmosphere was exclusive. Top night

Room was okay but air con unit was very noisy, so had to turn it off. Not sure if this was related to the room I stayed 103.

Upon arriving we were greeted by Kate at reception. Such a friendly warm welcome. Very helpful and a quick check in. The room was very spacious, exceptionally clean and the bed super comfy. All in all a fabulous stay! Highly recommend staying.

Actually we went to the Restaurant, not sleeping over in the hotel. We tried all the starters, each was perfect and plenty! The mains were also amazing. Pricing is low middle category, not cheap but not expensive at all. Staff are very friendly and it is a quiet, very nice place. No loud people talking around you so you have a chance to hear the other person's voice you are talking with.

Rooms are clean, tidy and well valued. Restaurant food was great but ordered a 2nd drink that we never received after 20 mins, however, staff were very apologetic and fixed it up.

Hidden gem! Lovely staff, great service! Stayed with partner and my toddler. Jessica, one of the managers, made our stay wonderful! From helping us with an appropriate cot for Bub, checking in on whether my toddler was comfortable, all the way to giving my toddler an Xmas ornament that just made her day! Restaurant was good too and they had little goodie bags for kids with books and games. We were very well taken care of. We loved our stay and will return ! Thanks again Jess! X

Disappointing for a large chain hotel. Expensive for an overnight stay, room not ready when we arrived though we were offered an alternate room. No hand soap/ wash in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, air conditioning problems and hot breakfast items dry and unappetising. Redeeming factors were the staff who were very helpful and professional plenty of free on-site parking and good location with easy access from motorway.

Nice Hotel with staff that are very good at there jobs. Always friendly and go the extra yard. Rooms are comfortable, however bathroom could do with a bit of renovations.

TV doesn’t work and air conditioning is too loud like an exhaust fan, won’t be able to sleep with that tonight and smelly pillows. It was a last minute booking we don’t have any choice but we won’t be staying here again. The reception was good when we checked in that’s all.

  • 1/5 Jacqui K. 1 year ago on Google
There is no way this is a 4 star hotel and if it hotel standards in Australia are poor. The room was tired and poor! The exhaust fan ran constantly - meaning I could not sleep. Was told I had to pay on check in with card I used for the reservation - then charged a surcharge for using a card. Then finally at 9:45am someone came to room to clean it and see if I had left - even though checkout is 11am.

Came for an event. Food was good and space was nice. Service not so good hardly anyone around to clear our plates or even even refill our water jugs. Could not even find someone to help when we looked, it took 4 hours until someone even came around for us to be able to ask for a tap water refill. Every table had run out of water

  • 1/5 Shane P. 1 year ago on Google
Well for the price they charge for everything, you would expect better . Better than rickety old lifts seemingly unstable, then just getting to your room few floors up seem to be a task in itself , the boiling hot water is way above legal temperature, then the shower had the water pressure of a trickle drought stricken stream, can't open the windows , the air con system is something from the Flintstones, personally I'd prefer to stay in 1408. ( Google it)

On arrival we felt we weren’t even in Sydney, it was so nice to not be in the heart of all the hustle and bustle that the cities are renowned for. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, the gym and pool were a bonus and the buffet breakfast was delicious. Will be back again.

  • 4/5 Sally P. 1 year ago on Google
Great room, comfortable king bed, disappointed there were no biscuits and no tissues in the room. I thought the movies were expensive but I'm no expert in this area. Would probably stay somewhere cheaper next time and then I won't have extra expectation!

I had a great stay here at Rydges Northwest Sydney, Room was clean and bathroom was well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful. Price was good as we were part of a large group and able to get a discounted rate.

  • 4/5 S. M. 3 years ago on Google
Hotel rooms were spacious, conference facilities were first class and the food provided during the day was great. Customer service at the counter was knowledgeable and very helpful but the two singles pushed together to make a king was difficult to sleep on with a hard ridge up the middle of the bed. No underground parking, just out front.
