There are not many private face to face sitting tables in this restaurant. The street level has bar seating and downstairs is all communal tables and after we (2 people) got seated at the bar I had to request to be seated downstairs at the big table. It is good to know before you go. The food is very rich so order less and add as you go. The servers mentioned that we order at least 5 items for 2 people and we were left with more food. The food itself was very tasty. And the prices are very reasonable given their location.

I had an amazing dinner experience at Kricket! The food exceeded my expectations - so much so that we ended up indulging more than planned. The ambiance was perfect, with a dim, industrial vibe complemented by orange brick and copper lights, creating a cozy yet trendy atmosphere. Our favorites were the Bhel puri, duck leg chettinad, and grilled cod - each dish bursting with flavours. The attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. It was truly an amazing night, and I can't wait to visit again!

Good place for dining out with friends or partner. It’s relaxing and conveniently located near the tube station. Friendly staffs, good food - delicious and have varieties of flavours, I found the curry is on the mild end, not spicy enough for me. I would recommend for a visit if you are around the area.

Really delicious and tasty food!! Good value for money when doing the tasting menu. Just found they didn’t sub veg dishes for meat if you were vegetarian so missed out on a few dishes. The Dahl and butternut dishes were a favourite. Packed with flavour and staff so lovely.

At Kricket Soho, securing a seat on a spontaneous Friday night felt like a stroke of luck, adding to the thrill of the evening. The restaurant's vibrant decor and energetic atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The service was prompt, with both our waiter and the bar staff going above and beyond to explain each dish with enthusiasm. We kicked off our culinary adventure with the pani puri, a true standout that expertly balanced traditional and contemporary flavors, leaving us craving more. The mutton croquette showcased the perfect marriage of familiarity and innovation, delighting our taste buds with its rich taste and Indian flair. While the pau baiji leaned towards a sweeter profile, the burnt garlic dhall paired impeccably with the butter chicken naan, creating a symphony of flavors. However, the fried chicken fell short of expectations, lacking the boldness we anticipated in its accompanying sauce. To round off the evening, the spiced chai with bourbon proved to be a revelation, offering a comforting yet invigorating finish to our meal. In sum, Kricket Soho delivered an enjoyable dining experience that exceeded our expectations. While some dishes may have missed the mark slightly, the overall ambiance, attentive service, and innovative flavors earned it a well-deserved 4/5 rating. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in a culinary journey that promises to tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more.

Fantastic food. The bread alone was glorious. Indian and English craft beer. Friendly staff did not rush us and where happy to talk about unfamiliar aspects of the menu. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. Top notch.

Nice service, good ambiance, tasty Indian inspired food in a tapas - style of serving. Great for sharing. The timing of serving should be managed better, since many of the dishes go cold quickly otherwise. Really liked the experience.

Surprisingly good Indian cuisine and fine dining. I was bothered by the expensive service charge. I recommend the fried chicken. Price-performance ratio otherwise great

This was my first time here. I heard about this place and never managed to visit it before today . As this is my birthday week I was treated to a meal here by a very good friend. The expectations were high and the food, together with the service, did not disappoint. The place was not too busy as this was a Monday lunch. We had the bhel puri, the aubergine, the butternut squash , the trout and the cod, plus a roti and tamarind rice. We probably over ordered so we were quite full and there was no room for dessert . Not everything was incredible or great, but the food is definitely very good; the only thing I thought the food was lacking is that kind of oomph that I was expecting and that never came, at least for some dishes. However, this is still a place that needs to be visited more than once to fully understand it, so I’m liking firearms to the next visit. The service was good, they even surprised me with an unexpected little morsel of a cake with a candle on top, which was a very nice touch .

Delicious, Indian-inspired cuisine served on small plates. We went for the set taster menu which comprised 10 dishes and all of them were amazing! My favourite was the Keralan Fried Chicken that has to be the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten. The staff were attentive and helpful. It’s a popular venue so recommend you book a table in advance.

Had a great time last night. Was lucky enough to sit next to the pass which was fun to watch the dishes come together. Ordered the butternut squash, the cod and the confit duck leg and all were amazing. Duck skin was so crispy and meat melt in your mouth. The cod also had really nice crispy skin (except the bit under the roasted peppers - delicious). The squash was probably the favourite of the evening, such a nice flavour and creamy sauce. Had the Luna and the whisky chaiball cocktails which were both nice and refreshing. It was a birthday dinner for my partner and they gave her a nice dark chocolate and toasted coconut dessert with a candle which was lovely. One extra thing which was nice was we saw one of the chefs doing some prep work chopping up (what we found out was) green mango and he let us try some, really fresh. He said it went in the bhel Puri, so definitely going to try next time.

I don't think I've enjoyed food this much in along time. The menu at Kricket is exceptional, catering to both meat livers and veggie livers alike. The flavours are so amazing that you'd be satisfied on a smaller amount of food. Everything we tried was delicious but the samphire pakoras and Date & pistachio kulfa was extraordinary. I visit here every time I'm in London and I'm.already looking forward to my next trip. Well worth a try as you won't be disappointed.

WOW! Amazing food- everything we ordered was amazing from the butter chicken Naan to the Confit Duck Leg Chettinad. Great counter seating with views straight into the kitchen too and very reasonable pricing! 10/10 from me!

Delicious meal. My favourite was the confit duck but my friends liked the croquette and fried chicken best. Dessert was divine and not too sweet just to round off the meal.

Love love love Kricket always. Definitely recommend. We were very happy that we were able to snag a table last minute on a Saturday evening. Even though it was only for 1,5 hours! Recommend all dishes! Friendly and attentive service from everyone!!! + wheelchair friendly toilet is a rarity in London!

Food was delicious, great cocktails too. Although I like the idea of bench seating, quite hard to get comfortable when there are big /tall people in the group. I am extremely grateful we were moved to a booth upstairs for the rest of our time. Thank you to all the team, we had a great start to my son's birthday celebrations.

This was great experience, not your typical Indian restaurant. We loved the menu here it's quite unique. We had tapioca papas and bhel (it was delicious) as starters. For mains we had trout, which was great with the sauce and salad. Our other main was duck chettinad with crispy skin that went well with chettinad sauce. The butter chicken naan was bit of the a let down. We were seated one a shared bench in the basement which which was ok but would have preferred a table instead. Overall, really great menu and delicious food which is very good value for money for London. Will definitely return again to try rest of the menu.

I have been wanting to go here for a while and since its difficult to get a booking online I decided to try for a walk in and was pleasantly surprised that I got in with just about a 10 minute wait. The host was so nice and really made my day. Snd actually all the staff were so nice. And if course the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. So overall this place is a total win/win. They smash it out of the park with great flavour combinations in their dishes.

They serve Indian dishes in the form of tapas so you should order a variety of dishes from starters, mains to sides. Three of us ordered 6 in total and it was a good variety. We all really enjoyed the beef keema as well as the two kulchas which were fantastic! The Keralan fried chicken was probably the most underwhelming out of the 6 as it didn't taste like much and the dipping sauce on the side was also pretty bland. Overall, it was a good lunch we had but I wouldn't say I am keen to come back anytime soon.

Absolutely delicious food and would highly recommend a visit. The highlight dishes were the butternut squash curry, the croquettas and the roti, but everything was wonderful. The cocktails were delicious too, definitely recommend the mezcal menu. We were a bit worried about the crowded seating but it ended up being absolutely fine. Service was a bit slow but would still absolutely recommend a visit.

When we arrived we were sat next to the bar (where they cook food) and we don’t like our clothes smelling like food so we asked to sit downstairs and the restaurant accommodate our request, would’ve been nice if they asked where we’d like to sit first. Food was great, we liked everything we ate except for the two fish dishes we had, it was just nothing special. We liked pakoras and chicken, we were happy they came with sauces because without them it would’ve been a bid bland. All in all we enjoyed the dinner and restaurant was lovely enough to bring ‘Happy birthday’ plate at the end. Staff didn’t really interact with us, neither did they come and ask how the food was - though we didn’t mind as we didn’t have any issues.

Had the best time at Kricket Soho on Sunday. Food was amazing as always, and the staff are very kind and professional. One of your lovely staff even made me a great cocktail similar to the babushka which is no longer on the menu. PS bring back the babushka 🥂💕

This truly is one of a kind. Flavours were amazing and impeccable service from the team. Made an anniversary truly special and one to remember. By far, value for money, best meal I’ve had this year.

The dishes at this restaurant boast incredible flavors, making it one of the standout Indian dining experiences. Personally, I find the taste here surpasses that of Dishoom. The portions are satisfying, the location is convenient, and it's just beside the Moulin Rouge Theatre.

I honestly loved my dining experience here. We didn’t book (which I wouldn’t advise) but they managed to get us a table in 20 minutes. Fusion food was incredible, cocktails were delicious. Will definitely be back!

Lovely date night here! Crowded but nice atmosphere. There weren’t any labelled vegan options on the menu but the gentlemen serving us specifically marked each option and offered alterations. He was really kind and made the experience very welcoming. It was out of our price range but the food was incredible.

Food is delicious, portion is on the smaller side as it is tapas style (naan too small imho). Very nice decor throughout, cozy and comfy. Worth to notice that service charge is 15%, and there is 'voluntary' water aid of 1 pound added to your bill automatically which you can refuse (doubt anyone would do that). Expect to pay around 50 per person including a cocktail so not cheap, but nice to experience.

Food here is really good, but nothing really stood out. The quail would have been my favourite if it wasn’t so difficult to eat! Maybe have it deboned for the customers or something?

  • 4/5 A 2 years ago on Google
Gobi was good, fried chicken was good. Didn’t taste anything in the curry leaf mayo dip. Curry was not very saucy, naan was just ok. Not quite what I expected considering they had a tandoori oven right there.

Good vegetarian choices in central London. 5 mins walk from Picadilly circus. It's Indian food but with a twist. The portions are smaller than in the US.. But we found them delicious, and presented well. Even the cocktails were unique and well prepared. The seating arrangement might be a bit cramped but it's part of the character of this charming little place. My kids enjoyed it so much that we visited twice in the same week!

Great experience! We had ordered the pistachio naan bread, the butternut squash, the spicy cauliflower, the dhal and rice. The pistachio naan bread was brilliant! Best naan bread we have ever had! The spicy cauliflower was also great and the butternut squash' sauce was tasty. We did not like the dhal so we would not recommend it to anyone. Great atmosphere and good service. A bit too crowded - make sure you reserve a space. Recommended.

The restaurant itself is lovely and the staff are attentive and quick. Very nice atmosphere inside - would definitely recommend booking for counter seating! Food is good - but would’ve preferred more of a kick (flavour, spices, chilli). Felt the flavours were a bit benign and for the price, portions were quite small. I had to order more food because I wasn’t quite satisfied enough after the first round. A suggestion - there are 3 “curries” on the menu, 2 of which have nuts. We had an individual with a nut allergy with us..reduced options significantly for them (as there was only one possible that they could have). Think nut allergies are pretty common and given curries are loved by all especially when going to an Indian, would be nice to have more.

As described it's "Indian Inspired" dishes. And I have to fully agree...it is indeed Inspiring! Amazing little plates full of flavour. We pretty much tried the entire menu between us and there wasn't one mediocre dish...they all tasted amazing! Well done to the team on site to try something different... totally succeeded in my opinion.

Every dish is made to perfection! I absolutly love their freshly made pratha and lamb raan! Also BRITISH SHELLFISH MACHER JHOL- just blew my mind❤️Would also highly recommend booking the bar seating so you can see where all the magic happen :)

Went here on Saturday night for a birthday celebration and it was incredible. Sitting on the edge of the kitchen made you feel so involved in the whole process. The chefs were incredible and would talk you through dishes or what they were preparing. The fried chicken was incredible as was the samphire. Would definitely recommend!

Turned up without a reservation and staff were accommodating. Other than the slightly limited menu, the staff were friendly brilliant with recommendations, and a generally good atomsophere.

The food is very good. Lots of variety. They are always adding in new dishes, so there is always something new. Gets very busy but there is always time for them to accommodate you.
