Outstanding food. A vegan's paradise. We had soup as starter, pizza and tofish and chips. The tofish & chips were amazing. Portions are quite big. The only reason I'm giving it a four stars is service, everything was wonderful but after finishing we tried to make eye contact with the waitress for 20 min unsuccessfully so had to stand up and go up to her to ask for the bill. It was really busy so not blaming just a best practice for her to to look frequently at the tables.

Really loved the food ! The lasagna is banging!!! And I'm italian...but this cheese it was unbelievably good!! Loved their tofish ! A lot of options to choose from and so many drinks and the vibes of the music is 🔝

We had a magic Vegan Christmas meal! (2016/12/12) This was the second time in 2 months I've visited the restaurant. The first time I was blown away by the Spepherd's pie, and this time by the Christmas meal. I had following items: Starter Porcini-mushroom and pecan pâté on finely sliced sourdough with lingonberry sauce Main course Chestnut mushroom, lentil, and cashew Wellington Dessert Sticky toffee pudding with runny soya cream All food was very tasty, so it was worth the wait 15-45 min per course. But don't come here if you are in a rush. The food is made fresh and to a high level of quality so it takes some time, and I still think they are a bit understaffed in the kitchen. Also, don't expect caramel sauce with the pudding, which in reality is more like a moist ginger cake. Very delicious, though! So maybe a better name should be 'Ginger cake and soya cream'. Thanks again, it was a lovely evening and we will surely come back very soon. Victor (Vegan since May 2014)

The most incredible restaurant! We highly recommend this restaurant it's actually our favourite! Charles the owner & chef is so genuinely lovely, kind & so passionate about the food he & his family are vegans which is great & makes me feel much safe & I know how much he cares about the lifestyle. The food is just outstanding! Super fresh, tasty, amazing quality & great portions. Our favourites are lasagne, pizza & tofu & Chips and husband adores the black bean burger. The chips & garlic bread are scrumptious also! Every time we come we always take home the muffins they are a great size & taste. You may find yourself waiting for more than another restaurant bur that's because of its all fresh food no frozen or nasty ingredients... It's super worth it! We do our best to come here monthly it's so important to support small business & when can an all-vegan business is even better so this gets all the ticks for us. We highly recommend this place & look forward to coming again next week. We would eat here daily if we could afford too ;) Highly recommend

Literally the worst service ever. Took hour and a half to get our mains. There was 0 communication from the server on wait times, it wasn’t even that busy, with tables empty. The whole time we were in their multiple delivery drivers came in and out and they got their food straight away - clearly the people sat in we’re not their priority. This was also expressed by multiple other tables, with some walking out. Really really disappointed with this place, had such high hopes. The only reason it’s got stars is cause when we did get the pizza, it was good. However could easily get it elsewhere. To top it off nicely, we were sat in there with no air con or anything to cool us down for 1hr & half, ending up with someone feeling faint.

We had a really lovely meal here. The chef was on his own so was serving as well as cooking and although the restaurant wasn't that busy there were alot of takeaways going out. Really friendly service, and delicious food. Would recommend the tofish and chips and the nachos 👍

I would not recommend this restaurant, I’ve been cooking vegan for a while now and wanted to try something new with my family. The only nice person was the cook. We asked the waitress to turn down the music as it was rap, we were the only people in the restaurant (probably for good reason) and she made it louder. The food took very long to come. They did however give us a personal radiator because my husband hates sitting in the cold. We usually order pizza takeaway from here and it’s great but everything else isn’t. It’s tasteless and drenched in oil. Please save yourself the trouble.

This best food, with even better owners. We had such a lovely meal here. Haven't stopped raving about it since! You can tell how much love goes into everything they make and do. Great family feel to the place. Can't wait to go back!

Cant get enough of that (to die for lasagne). I love the smoothies, the pizza is amazing! That cheese on the lasagne is out of this world... I need a whole bucket of that cheese on its own😍😍 lool Also I love the garlic bread... the sauce which I think is garlic mayo is breath taking. I also need that by the bucket also🤩 Looking forward to dining inside the restaurant next time. This is now my favourite vegan restaurant. Thank you for providing beautiful food in such trying times. Keep up the good work❤❤❤💚❤❤❤ P.s we might have gone a bit crazy, coz we spent over £300 from Saturday to Tuesday. But it was well worth it! Dont think we've ever spent that much on take out before.

The food is pretty good to excellent. The decor and waiting times on Saturday evening is long. However, this is by far the best vegan true restaurant in South West London, partially due to lack of competition. Portions are large and table service is friendly. Expect to pay about £15 per head before drinks.

The answer to your cravings for all things vegan, hankering for a sunday roast and not wishing to enter a traditional pub with it's meaty offerings we sought out this place and was not disappointed. Owner was reasonable and friendly, was able to discuss how the food was made and is clearly passionate about vegan food. Ticked all the boxes and some, each component of the roast was enjoyed and sat perfectly with each other, a real delight. If you want roast dinner then look no further as this is the place to go for worry free vegan dining

We saw the 50% off deal for today and managed to get a table luckily as it was very busy. The wait was quite long today due to the great deal, but the food was absolutely amazing. Our table ordered the ‘tofish’ and chips, lasagne and the aubergine croquettes. All dishes looked and tasted amazing. We enjoyed a margarita, wine and cider too. All really delicious - would highly recommend it.

The food was good, homemade breads and vegan cheese made for a good pizza and the lasagne was really flavoursome. Cos taco was a really tasty and refreshing starter. And a nice selection of vegan wine. Great for dinner, will be back for lunch. Service was a bit slow but it was actually great to relax.

Truly breathtaking food, with wonderfully, welcoming people to match; every single morsel is its own delight. The Christmas Menu is a triumph of flavour and texture. Even if you're not normally a fan of beans, I would urge you to still give the beanloaf a try; it's nothing short of amazing. Once you order from here, it won't be the last time!

We are regular customers here with the whole family. The food is mostly made from scratch natural and wholefoods, but also very tasty. The cakes, coffees, teas, hit chocolates and waffles can be recommended also. Great atmosphere for a relaxed dine in also. Worth a little journey to another dimension.

We ordered two pizzas, very basic ones with a few toppings, and they were far away from good... poor quality ingredients and vegan cheese was awful. Not even the small side to share we ordered was fresh. Waste of money. So disappointed.

I’ve ordered on Sunday 28th November 2021 from Vegan Express tooting from the restaurant’s website and after waiting 1 hour no delivery arrived. That’s when I’ve decided to call and the answer I got was that they haven’t received any order as they don’t do direct delivery although the website clearly had the option for delivery and received an email confirmation for my order and was charged for the delivery too.I was given the number of the manager or owner and she promised that will look into the website issues and get back to me with a refund. I haven’t heard from her since although I have messaged her twice with the refund request. I’m really disappointed of the way they treat a possible client a 1 star is way too much. I’m attaching the pictures of the confirmation and the amount that should be refunded since I haven’t received anything from them, I was just charged for nothing. If anyone can give me an idea of how can I get my money back please share.

Really lovely food and great service. We had the black bean burger and red lentil burger with wedges. Freshly prepared and left us full but not uncomfortable. Brilliant chocolate gateau 👏🏻 highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

Just had an amazing meal there .What can i say the chef was sooo good. I would highly recommend . Music wasn't bad either ! Service was fast. Hot choc was amazing. So delicious . Delicious!!! Amazing vegan pizza and tofush and chips. We keep coming back for the pizza and epic nachos Edit: just noticed I posted this tiny first review 3 years ago, so we've now been coming here for years! The food is always delicious and the owners Charles and Ulrika are wonderful people who love to throw in some extra cake for us which is always welcome! The pizzas are still as delicious, and the nachos are still my favourite nachos I've ever had. I massively recommend the aubergine croquettes too! We even had our Christmas dinner from here made to order, and they recently started doing Swedish meatballs which are sooo goood, and in the warmer weather they also have an ice cream bar.. what else.. oh the milkshakes are great too! The portion sizes are generous, and I rarely manage 3 courses but we sometimes bring some cake home for later when we have room 😅 Definitely definitely worth paying them a visit if you're ever in the area. We've since moved away but still make the drive to come visit because it's just that good ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great great food, veggie mixed grill and aubergine croquettes were a highlight. Spinach Pizza and the salad’s wonderful too. Service was slow this evening but everything is prepared on site and absolutely worth it once arrived.

Vegan Express was recommended and came here for a birthday lunch. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and generous portions. We were all filled to the brim but had to make a little room for desert.. which was also generous. The flavours were great and I. cannot fault the menu or the customer service. I would highly recommend and will definitely come back.

Wow! We had such a great take away meal. Every single thing was delicious, tasty and we are full. Gluten free pizza was delicious, best GF base I’ve had. To fish and chips is genius, so tasty and batter was also GF. Highly recommend!

They have a food hygiene rating of 1!!! This is not properly displayed and it took me having to look it up. We got a takeaway, it was tasty but overpriced. My only other complaint is that the vegan cheese on the pizza is too overpowering, maybe less of it would help?

During the covid pandemic vegan express offered a free cheese and tomatoe pizza for each nhs member as a thank you for all their hard work. We got one and also purchased strawberry and blackcurrent ice cream. Whilst the ice cream was not something we would purchase again the pizza was amazing. Such a simple pizza but we couldn't believe the cheese was vegan and so tasty. We would definately purchase again. Thank you so much!

Great Pizza, vegan or not! nice stretchy dough. not too crispy not too floppy, just right! I had the pineapple and seitan one, pineapple was sweet and fresh tasting, not tinned so 👌 from me! will order again!

The Tofish was yummy. Batter is made with seaweed so taste is quite 'fishy'. I wasn't a huge fan of the triple cooked fries, and would be great to see a few more sides that aren't deep fried. Victory Vegan pizza was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. Will def be back to try more pizza and dessert.

Tried this restaurant. It was full with 1 person serving and was making cocktails for ages. We waited half an hour then left. Only 1 table had food.

The service was friendly and attentive. I'm not vegan but found the food delicious and filling. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and the staff were so lovely. The place was well lit with nice music creating the perfect vibe! Will be back soon!! Highly recommend the sharing platter and lasagne! :)

Ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery, excellent quality and arrived hot! This was my first vegan pizza and would 100% eat it again (not sure of the name but one had butternut squash sauce instead of tomato and the other topped with aubergine/artichokes). Edit: went in and the service was so slow. After 20 minutes we left, no warning of wait, no drinks order taken, no one had welcomed us. People around us were waiting as well. You cannot have one person serving 25+ covers on a busy Sunday afternoon. Really poor. Shame because the food is really good!

Having been amazed by the food at their stall at Croydon Boxpark, I wanted to go along to the restaurant. I was not disappointed. The food is incredible, the restaurant itself has a cool relaxed vibe and the staff are lovely. I took with me another vegan and 2 non vegans. All of us LOVED the food and the insanely good home made deserts. We left already talking about what we will order next time

Difficult to know where to start on this one. Excellent desserts, delicious mains, and really friendly customer service. I've been vegan for the past 6 years, and this is one of the best places for vegan food I've ever been. Will be coming back.

I was served directly by the chef Charles, talented and courteous guy. I had a fabulous tofu waffle and a fantastic chocolate muffin. I can't wait to be back and try other dishes.

Finally got to Vegan Express and it was so worth the wait. Had the Tofush and Chips and it was delicious. Full of flavour, big portions - was planning on getting a dessert but was stuffed, will definitely be making the trip back. The staff were so lovely. Highly recommend!!

Lovely staff, great vegan food

Think it’s an absolute disgrace that this place decided to close and completely trash the street with its used containers, cabinets and content of the shop. Makes the owner of this place look like a real hypocrite, if veganism is for saving the animals and planet when they has left the outside of their shop a disgrace for the community to fix! I will be reporting it today as 3 weeks has gone by and not a single attempt of cleaning it up !

Hands down the best vegan restaurant in town. Great food, fantastic customer service, especially David. Have to go to check out yourself.
