It's paradise in the Algarve. What a beautiful place to visit. So much nature. It look likes a botanic garden. Must see when you are nearby.

Amazing beach, sand is fine, the water is warm, the entrance to the sea is mild and very good for families with children. Easy access to the beach when the sea is low. Nearby is a very romantic fishing village.

Considered one of the 15 TOP beaches of the world. Usually difficult to park the car (there is a parking lot for 250 cars) but there is plenty of space for everyone at the beach. You can cross the ria by foot but consider going during low tide! On the high tide the water never goes above about 1.5m... not to be miss!

One of Algarve most wonderful beach. Quiet, good beach extension. However recommend take beverage and food as doesn't have a strong support services due to been very natural and difficult access.

One of the best beaches in the world! The entrance is a bit hidden and difficult to find. Once you've done it, it's very easy. There are two entrances. Both straight down from the village. You should check the tides online in advance. If the water is very high, you can only get through the lagoon with the bot. The bot costs 1.50 euros per adult and 0.50 to 1 euros for children. But we can highly recommend running. It's a great adventure for young and old. The beach itself is very clean and so is the water. It is an absolute recommendation.

Nice walk out to this beach at low tide through shallow waters. Comparable to Elafonisi Lagoon on Crete. On the beach it can get quite breezy. Bring drinks, food and umbrella. Nice views of beach and lagoon from Cacela Velha. Worth a visit.

It's difficult to get there (high and low tide) but once you're there you don't want to leave so quickly. Sometimes you feel like you're alone on the beach.

Lovely beach! You should go during ride times. Be careful because there is a strong current over there. And one more warning for you it’s to hard find a park place for car.

One of the most beautiful I have ever been. Use the low tide to cross to Cacelha velha sands. Be careful with the ocean currents. No lifeguard. One picture is worth 1000 words.

Very nice beach! Although a little bit windy however the breeze was appreciated in the hot sun. Buy the donuts, they are amazing! Especially the chocolate one.

A bit of a walk to reach the beach but definitely worth it. The beach is not that crowded and you can also go to the small back water streams.

We visited the Cacela Velha beach based on the reviews we saw but honestly, it was not my cup of tea. A little to rough around the edges. There are better options in Portugal.

Now this is a really beautiful beach. Not like Praia di Marinha, which is terrible. It is a very evocative place, with white sand. If the tide allows it, you can reach it by walking, along which you will encounter many shells, crabs, etc. The surrounding landscape is extremely suggestive and there are very few people, there was even a moment when there were only us. Really worth a visit. If you want to spend the day there, equip yourself and bring food and water because there is nothing on the beach (bars, bathrooms, refreshment points, etc.). The only thing: be careful because there are a lot of jellyfish.

Amazing beach which you sometimes have to access by strolling trough the lagoon. Nice refreshing and not deep. Lifeguards on the beach and ocean without rocks and easy access/flat entrance

Best beach I've ever been to except Lagos's beaches. It was pretty fun letting the currents drag you while you tried to swim from island to island. My sister almost drowned tho.

Come at low tide to cross from the village to this very long beach.
