Ferdowsi Mausoleum, in Tus city near Mashhad, a very beautiful and attractive building. The green and peaceful area, and many statues of different characters of the Shahnameh are located in the corners of the area. The main tomb is located in the basement, and around the basement there are beautiful sculptures that narrate some prominent stories of the Shahnameh. It is located in the courtyard of the tomb of the Iranian music master, Shajarian.

Tomb of Ferdowsi and the museum nearby are full of history. History of Iran and other things. I recommend you to visit there. But you have to know you need someone who explain that history if not you will dislike it.

Ferdowsi is a highly revered Persian poet, & the author of the epic of Shahnameh. Tomb of Ferdowsi located in Tus, Iran, in Razavi Khorasan province is just 20 Kilometers outside of Mashhad. The tomb complex’s grounds include a beautiful garden, a museum & the tomb of the great poet Mehdi Akhavan-Sales. Lot of local Iranians, thinkers, poets & International tourists including poets visit this tomb. Unfortunately, there is a expensive enterance fee which is nonsense. Religious Shrines & tombs of poets must not be used to earn money.

An important historical to visit. Shahname from Ferdowsi is the equivalent of the Odyssey from Homer. You'll learn the achievements of Rostam.

Ferdowsi Mausoleum is the burial place of Hakim Abolghasem Ferdowsi in Tus. This building was designed and renovated by Hoshang Sihun based on the previous design of Karim Taherzadeh Behzad, with a slight change in size and decorations. The executive architect of the building was Hossein Larzadeh, and Hossein Hajarbashi Zanjani and Taghi Darodian were in charge of the construction of this building. The tomb of Ferdowsi was opened in 1313 AH equal to 1934 AD. The current area of the tomb complex is nearly six hectares and includes the tomb garden, a pool and a statue of Ferdowsi by Abolhasan Sediqi in front of it, a monument, office buildings, a library, a museum, The tomb of Mahdi Akhwan is the third and the tomb of Mohammad Reza Shajarian.

The tomb of Ferdowsi is considered as one of the most honorable cultural attractions of Iran, which is located in northeastern holy city of Mashhad in Toos garden. Abol'qasim Ferdowsi of Toos is the most prominent epic poet of Iran who is also regarded very highly on a global scale. The literary masterpiece of Ferdowsi is called Shaah'nameh or the book of kings and is actually the longest epic poem in the entire world. Ferdowsi spend thirty years of his life writing this masterpiece which is firmly believed that it was because of this work that Farsi language was saved from demise and oblivion. The tomb edifice is inspired by the tomb of Cyrus the great and is cubic in shape some of whose profiles show inscriptions of Ferdowsi's poems taken the book of kings. Beside the tomb of Ferdowsi, there is a vast pool at the end of which there is the statue of this great epic poet welcoming the visitors. On the northwest of the tomb territory, there is the burial site of another great Iranian contemporary poet, that is, Mehdi Akhavan. Among other spectacular aspects of the tomb is Ferdowsi museum in which cultural and historical items are being kept such as pre-historical stone-made items, various types and versions of the book of kings, and a number of paintings portraying scenes adopted from this masterpiece.

😠 Inhumane way to keep animals. Wild animals should be where they belong - in the wild. Unless you want to teach kids about keeping animals caged and miserable for human entertainment. Would recommend taking them to an amusement park instead
