Seems promising with all the facilities but the way they are run, priced, and staffed made it very disappointing. The gym was the most disappointing. The photos I saw online looked great, but it was only after I had paid for a membership that I found out those pictures were for a gym reserved for student athletes. The regular gym is inadequate. It doesn't have enough squat racks and there are no bumper plates for Olympic lifting. When I emailed the Peps to ask if they could allow us to use bumper plates from the student athlete's gym, the response I got made it seem like I was making an outlandish request. The new squat racks they put in recently make it even worse because there's not enough space between them so you're trying to do squats 3 inches from people using the pull-up bar in between. There's also not enough pegs to hold the plates. I got told off by a member of staff for leaving plates leaning against the wall but I only did that because there were only three pegs to hold the plates on the rack I was using. It's not hard to figure out that if you have 45/35/25/10/5/2.5 plates, three pegs isn't enough to hold everything. So the plates are in complete disarray everywhere. They also enforce stupid rules like requiring the clips when you're using barbells. That's actually dangerous for things like bench press because you could become trapped under the bar and not be able to tip the weights and let them slide off the end which is the way you're supposed to get out from under the bar in an emergency. Requiring people to use clips is unsafe at worst and unnecessary at best. Same with weird rules like not allowing people to wear tank tops. I never do anyway, but why do they care if people want to wear them? It's a gym, not a dinner party. I also bought a parking pass when I became a member and the staff member didn't tell me it only was valid at night. I had just asked for a parking pass not knowing they weren't giving me one that was valid whenever and I didn't realize it didn't work that way until I was given a parking ticket. Maybe it's my fault for not noticing my pass said it was only good for that time slot, but I think it was also unfair not to tell me that what I was buying wasn't valid except for specific times. I had been really looking forward to using the Peps but it's been very disappointing so far

It's a wonderful place to have all sports activities under one roof. Having amazing time in the gym. Only management should give physical ID card for members so that they can go without phone or should have biometric gate then no need of any kind of ID. Carrying phone to the gym is not convenient.

The maintenance of the premises seems to have started again with new budgets. Leaking roof, repaired, new lighting on the ice wow! The parking lot under repair, refreshment in the rooms, benches and painting. New surfacing machine (Zamboni). We hope that the maintenance will be continuous, there is still some left.

This is a very big building housing many sporting facilities for students and out of campus adults. There are 2 big olympic size swimming pools, a running track, 2 skating rings and numerous halls for other sports including 4 tennis courts. But the latter are subpar quality being in the middle of the running tracks from which they are separated only by mesh screen. This is the reason why i give it only 4 stars. The large cloth changing area is huge with many hundreds lockers and nice clean showers and floors. Entrance fee is free for Laval University student and 11$ a day for otherwise.

I had a bad experience entering pep. Bad and not fair treatment for me and my child, my little one does sports classes at the peps but the guy at the reception blocked our entry even after giving all the information.

😠 This gym is overcrowded, the machines are always broken, the floors are broken and have danger tape all over them. If you put your weight on the floor it rolls away from you. They never actually poured cement for the floor, just a carpet over rocks which you can see with the holes in the carpet. Yo...

👍👍 Get a day pass to visit this gym while vacation to Quebec city. It have completed equipments but for some bench, i felt they are too wide that hard to do bench press but suitable to do other exercises at the same time.
