This place was enchanting beautiful views of the waterfall the bridge the city the river everything rolled up into one. I went here in the rain and had the most amazing time ever you could possibly have in bad weather. The crowds weren't too bad and I was able to see the falls from various views and I would recommend this place for quick romantic getaway for two or family fun. There's not one thing I can think of to make this experience better and even parking was still pretty easy to manage. This is a definite place you should visit 100% while you're in Quebec and don't even think about leaving until you do. 😁

So beautiful, we rent bikes and cycle all the way from the city to the falls, the road is elegant with great views! If you got to Quebec city - cycle to the falls is a Must!!! we had great weather so the view was very bright. at the site you have place for park your car if you get by driving, and you got fresh drinking water and nice clean toilets so don't worry about this things.

An amazing excursion not too far from the heart of the city! I loved that we could see the falls from a number of different vantage points, including from the suspension bridge, the stairs and at the bottom of the falls. It's set up really well, especially if you don't mind a bit of walking and aren't afraid of the staircase! But there's also a cable car that takes visitors to the top and bottom of the falls if you don't want to or cannot navigate so many steps. There are a number of snack bars on site so it's easy to get some refreshments and there are plenty of picnic benches and lots of greenspace where visitors can relax and take in the sites. For the more adventurous visitors there's a zip line and rock climbing guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping! Highly recommended! I would absolutely go back.

Great little walk with a good view. There’s 487 steps so keep that in mind if you want to come back up. Cable car up is $29 a person…. Parking was around $4 and there’s an entrance fee of $8.50 a person

There were better things to see in or around Quebec for the time and money than paying to climb all the stairs and seeing things from the bridges, but if you’ve done those, then this is probably worth it. (Note: you can grasp it pretty well from the road.) If I had to choose between this and the top hikes in Jacues Cartier National Park, I'd chose the hikes every time. Fewer crowds and better views.

Beautiful, clean place. Adult tickets cost $8-9, and given that we climbed the stairs (rather than cable car), there were no additional fees. The bridge itself is crowded with tourists, but the view from below and above is already breathtaking.

Stunning beauty in the winter with parts of the falls frozen over. There's also a cable car service you can pay for to ride and view the falls from above, though it didn't seem like the cars get closer than where you can walk to on the ground. The site costs a little bit to enter (around $6 per person + a small vehicle parking fee)

It was nice. Quick and short, it is a nice short walk, about 7 minutes. It's a lovely waterfall. The area is clean and well plowed. I suggest really good snow boots if you are going in the winter, consider snow cleats for your shoes because of the ice. It's well paved and plowed but there's ice that can't be helped. They add gravel and sand to help with traction when walking. The bridge is perfectly fine and very safe, it's a lovely bridge.

The route to fall is so mesmerizing. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as it a long walk to falls. It’s windy most of the time during fall and winter so make sure to wear warm clothes. There are a lot of steps to climb after a certain point if you wish to see the falls from a much better view. So make sure to carry a water bottle and wear comfortable footwear.

Quebec City in my opinion is one of the nicest cities in North America if not the nicest period. It has so many beautiful attractions at your disposal. This area surrounding the falls are never ending in its scenic views. You could spend most of the day here. Very nice! 👍😎

Montée par les escaliers, c'est rude mais qu'est-ce que c'est beau ! Magnifique expérience et beaucoup d'angles différents sur les chutes.

What a spectacular place and an amazing experience. We got there on a Sunday around noon. There were a few free street parking spots available and didn't have to pay for parking. I'd say we walked just two blocks to get at the gate. It's a busy tourist spot, especially the suspension bridge (for a Sunday in July); however, the rest of the area is not as crowded. It was clean throughout the pathways and clean washrooms. Beautiful scenery and therapeutic waterfall. We walked down the stairs, where not many people took the effort. What an amazing experience the breeze and the moisture from the fall give you once you reach the bottom. The walk around was amazing with nature and plants. Yet the waterfall is not as clear as I was expecting.

We arrived early and paid in advance online. This is a great place to visit, it wasn't overpriced and if you arrive early it's not too crowded. An added bonus is they have carnival exhibits still available in the summer. I cannot stress the importance of arriving early, it got quite busy as the day progressed.

Visited this spectacle with a group of friends during a trip to Quebec City (prior to the pandemic). This place is absolutely gorgeous--the photos don't do it justice. You must see this in person to fully appreciate it. Standing over the bridge suspended just above the Falls is a breathtaking experience. It truly allows you to appreciate the beauty and power (from the sounds of the cascading water) of the Falls. Strongly recommend everyone to visit!!! Look forward to returning sometime in the future!

Beautiful area. 487 stairs to go up or cable car. I chose the stairs it was intense but great with several stops. Nice park on top level. I took cable car to go down. Next time i will try zip line. Store at the lower station i found a great hat.

There's an $8 fee to enter the park and $2 more if you drove a car. We ended up spending more time here since we had to pay, and it was a beautiful park. There are lots of trails to walk around, and there are these crazy stairs you can take to see the waterfalls. The washrooms were clean, this is definitely a nice place to spend the day and have a picnic! There's a playground for kids as well, so I recommend this park for families as well.

What a nice park and falls to visit just outside of Quebec City for the most awesome day trip of your life. Admission to the park and falls is fair and so worth it just make sure to bring your camera along for some amazing pics along the way. The suspension bridge and the most amazing stair case are included with park admission and the cable car is an extra cost if needed. The stairs look intimidating but are doable if you are in stable health you can just take your time with breaks along the way.

Beautiful place to visit with family, friends, children or alone. There are picnic tables, you can enjoy the majestic view of the waterfall, the park, ride the zip line. Take beautiful photos. There are bathrooms with good cleaning service. The gardens keep them pretty.

Beautiful waterfall just a short distance from Quebec City. If you want you can buy a ticket to take a cable car up to top of the falls. Being a giant baby who has watched too many Die Hard movies that was a big hell no from me. For those who want to stay earth bound there’s a nice boardwalk hike to get closer to the falls. You can also traverse a bazillion steps to get better views as well. Great way to spend a couple of hours.

Beautiful waterfall in the city. There are trails where you can walk and the main route around the waterfall. For the ease of passing the route, we started by taking the funicular up the cliff, went over the waterfall and went down the steep list of wooden stairs with excellent viewpoints of the waterfall. The route took about 1 hour. But the most beautiful view is in the evening when the waterfall is illuminated. You need to pay parking, entry ticket and extra for using funicular.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this park. You can get up close to the waterfall and even dip your toes in the water of the smaller falls trickling down the cliffs. There is a very nice boardwalk with steps that you can sit and enjoy the view. A highlight for us were the shaded picnic tables where we could escape the heat. If you're looking to get up close to the waterfall, you'll need to walk over some rocky ground and sturdy footwear would be a good idea. There is a cost to enter the park which is higher for non Quebec residents. This is completely understandable as you want to encourage locals to visit attractions. There is a cable car which will take you to the top of the waterfall however the price was too steep for us to consider to be reasonable. At the top you can participate in ziplining and what appeared to be rock climbing. This would be a fantastic spot to bring a lunch and spend a couple of hours here. There is also a well-stocked snack bar inside, but as is the case for most attractions the prices are rather high.

Exceptional waterfall with multiple places to see the attraction from different angles. Note that you can pay and park at first level to see the fall at lower level and then you’ll need to exit and search on your navigation for suspension bridge to park at top area (the same ticket can be shown for both places). It’s worth seeing from top and bottom area.

What a beautiful place. We went there on the weekday, but still a lot of tourists there. We took the cable car to the top. And so please that they have limited the people go into each car instead jamming the car. After we got to the top. Wow, it is so pretty .You can choose to do a short hiking trail or bring lunch to enjoy in the park. You can see the fall go down and float into St Lawrence River. Also, they have zipline, unfortunately it is closed on that day. We walked around and took plenty of pictures. They also have built the 487 steps that tourists can walk up or down along the fall. So,in the end, we choose to walk down. The steps have short rises and have landing about every 15 steps .My mother is 80 years old and able to walk with us. Hope we will have a chance to go back in different seasons next time.

Had a great visit to the falls. We rode the 800 bus from old Quebec city, and it dropped you off right near the entrance. The falls are very nice they have nice trails to walk across the suspension bridge and to the stairs where you can climb down to the bottom. Lot of lookout points for photos. There are washrooms available to use. It's definitely worth a visit

Very pleasant place to visit. There is a cable car to go up to the falls and then a very scenic park to walk around and enjoy. There was a small herb garden that was very cute and then many scenic points to get views of the falls from different angles. The walk is not too challenging and very gentle if you done decide to take the stairs.

Beautiful scenery. Beware of the stairs if you aren't particularly active/fit else be prepared to take many breaks. Also recommend to wear a jacket or layer as some parts get very misty from the falls. Worth the full walk around at the bottom to get some great photos of the falls

Awesome place for a day trip, beautiful small town and very attractive view points from the top. Enjoyed the Gondola rides and lots of places to have some photography. Nice family time and beautiful waterfall will make your day. Depends upon the season but i enjoyed the starting of fall time with normal temperature and beautiful tree colours.

Very impressive falls that took my breath away! We took the cable car up but it's not that close to the falls, only gives you a side view, and was very short, so it was not as exciting as I had expected. The suspension bridge is cool even though it took us a bit of time to find it. Beware that the suspension bridge placement is not that very good. I think better pictures would be had if it was placed a little lower.

Absolutely stunning falls and you can actually get a 360 view if you are ready walk and hike plus take the cable car. The view from the suspended bridge is also amazing. The steps to climb down to the bottom of the falls is a little scary but good experience and you will nice views of the falls from different angles.

Such a beautiful place! The trails were well maintained and marked. There are stairs with observations decks for different views of the falls, that lead to a small bridge that takes you to the much longer suspension bridge over the falls...incredible views! We actually drove to the other side of the park to take the trail to the suspension bridge. Well worth a visit!

Proudly 30 meters higher than Niagara that has 53m. Very Cold during my visit December 26. It's really advisable to go to the bottom part (I didn't but other friends did after seeing their pictures I realized what I missed)

Wonderful waterfall close to Quebec City only drive 25 minutes to get there. I'm so impressed with the size of the waterfall and how beautiful it is. There is a stairway walking down to the bottom of the waterfall and it looks amazing! Also has a tram nearby and you can see the nice view of the waterfall. My friends and I were enjoying so much, and we had such a nice experience. If you travel to Quebec City you must come to this place, you won't feel regret. Recommended!

It costs to enter but is well done. Park and walk past the gondola and historic manor to the foot bridge over the falls. Continue walking around past the zip line and down nearly 500 stairs with views to the bottom of the falls. Continue around the boardwalk to the other side of the falls, then walk back. Or take the gondola up if you are tired or want a different view.

Beautiful place. We went there with the parents. When you enter with the car you pay 8-9$. It includes the parking - down or up for those who want to do the trip by car. The parents took the automatic cabine and we went up by stairs. Up there the view is nice but you do not see the fall. Best view was during the stairs.

Very serene and picturesque. I can only imagine the beauty of it in summers if this looks so beautiful in the winters. The fall was almost frozen though still a bit of waterfall one could see. Cable cars are needed to go up where one could walk the suspension bridge to see the waterfall right below. The manor montmorency is also nice. Take the cable car for the way back as well. The '487' staircase is closed during the winters but it would be one muscular task to ascend during the summers. Definitely keep extra pair of clothing when using the staircase because the sheer force of the fall would drench you. The visitor center is cozy and comfortable. It has cafeteria inside along with a small gift shop for souvenirs. On and all very nice place to visit.

Beautiful views, even in the Winter. It’s super cool that you can walk over the falls on the bridge. If you’re brave enough, you could even walk down to stand in front of the falls!

The fall is fine, the water is a bit yellow. And the park above the fall is open to the public and poorly maintained. The glass windows of the cable cars are dirty. The wooden stairs are slippery in snow and water. There’s not much to see in general.

One of the scenic waterfall in Quebec city, it's a must see while visiting to Quebec. Parking is available and you can do a hike as well to get a nice view. The bridge crossing is also nice and good spot to catch your memories

Nice new pathway/boardwalk along the train tracks, with glass fence and steps to relax or take pictures comfortably. They are renovating the lookout area at the bottom of the falls so we couldn't get as close as before. But the stairs are still accessible. We didn't walk to the top this time.

  • 5/5 Chris M. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely scenery! I highly recommend visiting in the fall as the different colours of the trees around add to the beauty of the place. If you want a good workout, you can walk up the stairs. But if you just want to go on the suspension bridge and enjoy the view, drive to the Montmorency mansion and there's an access point from there to get onto the suspension bridge.

  • 4/5 Nandan V. 2 years ago on Google
Great trails and views. Have been there only in Winter time but would love to check it out in summer time. Did tobogganing there, since we didn'thave time beforesunset to leave for anotherplace! Not the best place, but it works and it was fun!

Wonderful views and a few different ways to experience the falls. You can take the stairs, you can take the cable car, or you can drive up to the top where there is lots of parking there’s a huge field with picnic tables and lots of places to run around great for kids dogs or families. It also has a nice suspension bridge over the falls as well as other review areas. Highly recommend visiting, the price is reasonable as well.

Wow! What a great place to go for a nice stroll and enjoy a few hours. However, the main attraction is the waterfall and you really need to view it from every angle, especially the bridge. When you're on the bridge you're either looking down at the falls or at the city and both are spectacular. If you're visiting Quebec, take the 20 minute drive and visit Montmorency Falls.

  • 5/5 Michelia A. 1 year ago on Google
The waterfall is magnificent. Don't forget to try the cable car so you can see the falls from above. You can go near to the falls after you go down with the cable car or go on the top and go across the bridge. It is the place you need to visit if you are in Quebec city. There is also open area near lots of trees that is good for picnic area on the grass.

  • 3/5 María Guillermina V. 1 year ago on Google
They are some pretty falls, traversed by a hanging bridge without much else to do at the location. You can either see them from above, below or both sides, because there are trails with sightseeing platforms. There’s also a cableway that takes you to the bottom and back, and while you’re down there might as well walk some short trails. Overall, I’m not sure it’s worth the trip to there (and everything closes pretty early)

  • 5/5 Alejandro S. 1 year ago on Google
Outstanding views! I recommend getting on the trail and crossing the bridge over the falls first, to then go down the steps. There are close to 400 steep steps on the side of the mountain that are way easier to go go down rather than up, then you pay to get back up using their "teleferique" as they call it. Wonderful experience! Expect to spend at least 1.5 hrs here.

  • 5/5 Li F. 1 year ago on Google
A fun trip not far from Quebec City. Hike is not too bad. Entrance fee is per person instead of per vehicle. There is a cable car that takes you up and down the fall but it costs extra. You can view the fall from all angles, including getting close and get wet during summer but I don’t see many people do that when we visited.

  • 5/5 Adventlust20 V. 1 year ago on Google
The view on the waterfall is just wow. And the stair up and down is a full workout. Need to have a proper fitness to do it all the way. But views are amazing. And lots of space for a picnic to sit relax and enjoy the green space.

Beautiful waterfall. Just a 10–15 minute ride from downtown Quebec city. The falls are actually 10 m higher than the Niagara Falls. There is a lower parking lot where you can take the gondola up to the Falls. There is a upper level parking lot that leads to a hiking trail where you can walk down 250+ steps to the base of the falls or walk up to a bridge and walk across the falls. It is a truly wonderful place with terrific views, overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Don’t miss it!

The experience was stunning and the scenery (the bridges and the bottom itself was stellar, even if the (admittedly voluntary) climb up was exhausting. I tried taking the cable car down because I was tired from walking up the stairs, but then the system lost power and wasn't able to. The friendly and polite park staff arranged a refund and a shuttle down instead when they shut the system down for safety reasons. Highly recommend, even WITH the cable car inconvenience.

Beautiful lookout location. There was plenty of parking space when we visited, a manor for restrooms and vending machines, a clerk at the front who was very welcoming. There’s multiple paths to take and the stairs are not for the faint of heart! There’s also a bridge you cross and walk over the falls. Makes for amazing photos, then across the bridge is an extensive green park with a few picnic tables and a children park. Lots of runners, cyclist and dog walkers enjoying the park!

This place is a must. Online tickets purchase made it easy for me. The early you come the better. Very enjoyable walk, did it in June so make sure to bring sunblock, and a hat. They also have a store at the bottom of the cable car were you can shop souvenirs at a better price.

It's a good place. We were a bit short of time so couldn't enjoy the top view from the bridge. There's a small food canteen and also a souvenir shop with decent products and prices. There were also some more activities on the short but unfortunately due to time limit we couldn't do it all. We went from Montreal for a 1 day trip to Quebec and also saw this but only for half an hour.

We took the 800 bus from town and drove through some very cute neighborhoods. 3,75$ It took about 35 minutes and the bus drivers were very friendly and helpful. The suspension bridge was a little too shaky for our taste but a great view over the top of the falls. The viewpoint from the other side was beautiful. Too much water in the falls and spray to walk in the water below.

The view up top was spectacular. There’s also a zipline near the falls but it was closed that day. Even though it drizzled during the time of our visit, we had fun!

Came here on a family trip, not expecting much but was taken aback by the views! The waterfall was a lot larger than I had expected, and the views from the different vantage points are truly breathtaking. The park surrounding the falls is also lovely, with plenty of walking trails and picnic areas. The only downside is that it can get a bit crowded, especially during peak tourist season, but it's definitely worth it. Beware the stairs can get slippery from the mist spraying onto them, and there are a lot of stairs too so prepare your legs.

A breathtaking natural wonder that offers a memorable experience for visitors of all ages. One of the highlights is the toddler-friendly hike that allows families to explore the area while enjoying the stunning views. The trails are well-maintained and accessible, making it a perfect adventure for little ones. A remarkable feature of Montmorency Falls is the walkway that spans across the falls, providing a unique perspective and allowing visitors to get up close to the cascading water. The walkway offers an exhilarating experience as you feel the mist on your face and witness the sheer power and beauty of the falls. For those feeling more adventurous, there is the option to descend the 500 steps from the top to the bottom of the falls, offering a thrilling and immersive experience. Montmorency Falls is not only a sight to behold but also offers various recreational activities and amenities. There are picnic areas where you can relax and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature, as well as a visitor center where you can learn about the history and geology of the falls. Whether you choose to admire the falls from the top, walk across the waterfalls, or venture down the steps, Montmorency Falls promises an unforgettable experience for everyone.

The falls were gorgeous! I have mostly seen falls from the bottom, but for Montmorency, there are vista points at different levels, bottom, side, and top. The top views are spectacular, we even saw a rainbow. There is also a nice souvenir store, with a lot of places to sit and rest, as well as water fountains and restrooms.

The Montmorency Falls is a great place to visit when you are near Quebec City. The falls are impressive. It is 100 feet taller than Niagara Falls. It isn't as massive though. The water at the end is shallow. I loved seeing the fly fishermen wading in the water. The cable car is sturdy and perfect for those that fear the Zipline or the suspension bridge over the falls. At the bottom of the falls make sure to get out of the cable car and take the boardwalk closer to the falls. Beautiful wildflowers line the walk. It is an easy walk and well maintained boardwalk. The staff were very kind.

Beautiful waterfall. In good weather, one can easily spend half a day at the activities offered around the site. If you take a cable car up, there is about 20 min. waiting time befoar boarding.

Tall and impressive falls. There is a nice boardwalk and great care has been taken to make it accessible and also still natural. Very well done. Take a gondola, a train, or walk.

What a lovely and scenic view of nature. I would recommended for public to go half hr before closing and then take your time with the visit. People leave by closing time and youllbe able to get better pictures and views to yourself, cheers!

Worth to Visit. Very underrated water falls. There is a very long board walk with stunning views. Lot of other activities like zip lining, Gondola and play area for kids. Some development work going on to attract more tourists. More than half a day to spend with family. Paid parking available. As usual you can see the falls from all the angles like top view, front view, left and right views

Truly a magnificent view! We enjoyed the various views that one to use to see the falls. There are well maintained wooden stairs winding along the rock face.

I driven by here a few times now and never actually stopped in. We stopped in for an afternoon and had a great hike to the top of the falls, across the suspension bridge and a nice walk down. We were there for a couple of hours. Reading other reviews, we disagree with the complainers. The entry and parking fees were perfectly fine. For $20ish for an afternoon outside with the kids, I'd say it was money well spent. Will we return, perhaps in a few years but everyone should stop in for a few hours. There is so much work going on around the place that it will be exciting to see the updates in the near future.

A nice park and the waterfall is very beautiful. The cart ride to the top was worth the money, and my family and I took the stairs down. It was a nice day, but I can imagine the stairs would get slick with precipitation. There are many viewpoints of the waterfall and some great places to picnic and kids to play.

Beautiful falls. Nice, clear walking path around the area. Most of the path is gravel, however part of it is stairs and dirt. Spent about 2 hours walking around and checking out the views. Glad we stopped.

Such an amazing experience to visit from top of the falls & experience the hiking from bottom as well. Tried with cable car 🚠 visited this place almost 8 times and every time had an awesome view of falls from different directions.

Beautiful falls and definitely worth the trip. Parked at upper lot which had modest fee to park and then took the walk down the stairs to base and rode the gondola back up for a full loop that lets you walk over the bridge above the falls. There's also a lower parking lot at the Gondola if you wanted to do it in reverse.

A very short drive from downtown Quebec city, the Montmorency Falls is a great place for a full day outing. A bridge suspended right across the Falls makes an exciting short walk. Bring a picnic and do not miss the zipline!

Beautiful views and well maintained paths around the site. It was very busy when we visited but still an enjoyable trip. We skipped the guided tour busses and got the regular bus from Quebec City which was a fraction of the cost. Book the entry tickets in advance online.

I had a fantastic time exploring Montmorency Falls and enjoying the breathtaking views. It's indeed a remarkable natural wonder and is a stunning waterfall just outside of Quebec City. I went all the way down through all those stairs to had closer view. Though I was exhausted but it was worth it.

Beautiful falls, nice light hike to get to them. Stairs involved to go to a second level (maybe 60 ish) and well worth it to get some great pics (although there is a sign making it sound like it's out of service). Very well kept, wish we were able to do that 400+ step aaa, but we arrived around 7pm and dark at 8pm. Another time I hope.

This location is perfect for experiencing breathtaking natural scenery. Aside from the opportunity to marvel at stunning waterfalls, you can also indulge in Via ferrata and take advantage of cable car rides for added adventure and enjoyment.

This is a wonderful waterfall park. The waterfall is great. The accommodations are fabulous. I recommend to go to the lower parking lot and take the cable car up. It is much easier than parking up at the park.

It was absolutely beautiful!!! We took the 800 public bus. We don't speak French, so we had a little difficulty figuring out the bus schedule! There is a nice gift shop and washroom at the visitor center at the top of the falls and a small gift shop/cafe and washroom at the bottom.

  • 4/5 Robyn McKeon P. 6 months ago on Google
Only visited the falls from the bottom as we were on a tour and no time for the cable car ride to the top - give yourself time for a better experience. The view at the base is good, albeit a little further away than expected. Still, it's definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful falls, worth checking out. We didn't do the gondola. Instead we paid for parking and admission, crossed the bridge, went back to parking and went to the other side to see the falls. We did this because we did not want to go on the stairs. We went in the around 11 on a Friday and it was very busy. No wait to get in. There's a snack bar near the falls, I didn't try it.

Honestly. Just hype. If you have visited bigger falls and more beautiful places then this is not worth it. The parking has a fee. The small cable car has a fee, the trek to see the waterfall is straight down and up (so pretty steep)

Beautiful waterfalls just 15 minutes drive from Quebec city. It's totally worth the visit. Took the cable to go up but came down the 487 steps on the other side. Perfect way to see the whole thing.

Wonderful visit! Took the 800 bus from downtown and had a lovely walk around. Stairs are worth the trip up and down. Good picnic areas. Great little boutique shop if you’re looking for souvenirs.

Had a lovely afternoon looking around. Everything was closed but you can still access the bridge and walk the board walk. Worth the trip.
