My group all agreed this was our best restaurant experience in Quebec City. The food was exceptional, so well thought out, the produce so fresh. The cocktails were amazing too (white wine sangria with cantaloupe was a standout!) And the strawberry pavlova dessert……..wow what an ending……. That was an out of body experience for me!!! I still have dreams of it!!! Then the staff…so kind and welcoming! We loved learning about the whole philosophy and process of the restaurant. Please support them! To note, half of the group got the vegetarian tasting menu and both menus were equally exceptional. If you had one thing to do in Quebec City, it has to be dining here.

I have to say that this restaurant far exceeded my expectations on everything. We saw all Google reviewers gave 5 stars and they absolutely deserve it. Everything is prepared to its perfection and the taste of each of the 5 course meals is perfectly balanced. My son said if Quebec has Michelin Star rating, this should definitely get the Michelin star rating. They change menu every two weeks. Unfortunately we only stay for a few days. We have to come here if we have a chance to come to Quebec City again!

We had an mazing five course meal at Restaurant Alentours, which deservedly just made the list of Canada’s top 10 new restaurants. 5 stars across the board… creative, delicious menu with all food from within Canada and nearly all within 150 km of Quebec City. They use all hydroelectric power and no fossil fuels. They only source food from sustainable producers with minimal environmental impact, etc. In short, it’s what all restaurants should be doing. If you’re nearby, and by nearby, I mean within about 12 hours, you have to try it. We drove 6 and a half hours to get here, and Chef Tim Moroney and his team exceeded expectations!

Wonderful all around! An intimate setting, perfect for a date night. The owner and small team take care of you like you are their house guests. The mostly vegetarian menu is as fresh as can be on top of being all locally grown and sourced. The wine pairings were ingenious and drink portions were generous. If you are the driver for the night, get ready to share with your dining partner. I really appreciated that they made you taste every wine before pouring you a glass. Not always the case with tasting menus. We had a fantastic evening and will definitely return. Thanks Alex and Tim!

It’s not every day the chef greets you and brings you to the table! Tim, Alex and Cedric manage to take you on a hyper local culinary adventure featuring products from a very small radius around the restaurant (155 km when we were there). The 5 course meal left us full but not stuffed, the textures and flavours were amazing and the service was attentive. Their menu changes every three weeks, so I’ll definitely be back to try it again!

An absolutely amazing experience at Alentours! The food was incredibly fresh and the staff were so warm and welcoming. The chef even went out of his way to come out twice and speak with us! They also modified one of the meals for me since I’m not the biggest fan of mushrooms. Definitely the best food I’ve had so far in Quebec City! 10/10 recommend!

One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Canada. The restaurant itself with its minimalistic wooden furniture is warm and welcoming; very simple and no pretensions. The lovely staff were amazing, explaining every detail on the food preparation and provenance. Now for the food. What a party! From the flavours, to the textures to the combinations. Such a treat!! Thank you so much to Tim for having taken the time to come say hi at the end of the meal. Highly highly recommended!

Had a wonderful meal! Super interesting concept by having all but 3 ingredients come from withing 150km of the city. Don't sleep on this place if you are in quebec city try and snag a reservation you wont be disappointed!

Amazing five course meal prepared by Chef Tim Moroney. Creative and delicious menu artfully presented. All ingredients sourced within Canada, and with few exceptions, within 150 km of Quebec City. Staff passionate about food and committed to sustainable practices. Support of local agriculture and local vendors is admirable. Worth the 6+ hour trip from Amherst, MA for a truly wonderful dining experience. We’ll be back.

One of the BEST restaurants in Quebec City without a doubt. Located up north, the restaurant, thriving on its motto of sustainability, is very minimalistic by appearance but don’t let that question your instinct. Our Server was one of the best ever. She was extremely friendly, explained each and every dish with the tiniest details and the food was out of this world. Every dish was carefully crafted and each ingredient stood out. I will definitely return every time I visit Quebec. Highly recommended.

After not having been sure of exactly what to expect, I was overwhelmingly pleased with every aspect of this restaurant. The food was delicious. If I lived closer, I would go once every three weeks which is when they change the menu. I’d like to try everything. And sooner or later everyone is going to have to embrace the concepts of local sourcing and sustainability. Our goal should be to become as planet-conscious as Tim and his staff at Alentours, great role models for the present and future.

My wife and I had dinner there and the experience was fantastic. We loved the sustainable approach Tim, the chef, and his crew have adopted, sourcing locally and maximizing the potential of every ingredient that goes into their food. The food, of course, the star of the show, was fantastic. They manage to blend textures, aromas and tastes in combinations that are both yummie as a whole and also allow to experience and enjoy every element that goes into them individually. A real feat! It’s food haute couture! Highly recommend!

Alentours is an absolutely sublime dining experience. Thanks specifically to Tim and Alex who made our evening unforgettable. It’s a welcoming atmosphere with knowledgeable and passionate staff. They care about the dishes they create, the stories behind them and the ingredients within them. I don’t have the depth of vocabulary to describe the food - it’s like taking a journey up down and all around Quebec while also slowly and intimately getting to know local producers and products. 11/10 highly recommend Alentours for a special night out. Due to the seasonal and rotating menu, my wife and I will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. Alentours' ethos of sustainability is clear in every one of the restaurant's choices, and the resulting food is exceptional. It's also among the best service I've ever had in a restaurant, period. Make a reservation here!
