Ate three times in this restaurant during our 2 days stay. Good location! 2 minutes walk to our hotel. The famous church sits right cross the street. What attracts me most is the window seats option. We sat beside the opened big windows and enjoyed the Summer wind while eating. Staffs are very friendly. I forgot to take picture of their signature paella 😄. If you don’t know what to order, try their paella and beef spaghetti.

The French Onion Soup, Seafood Chowder Soup, Mussels with White Wine Sauce, Four Cheese Mac & Cheese, and Spaghetti Bolognese (kids meal) we had were amazing, and the portions were pretty big. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

A really friendly, warm restaurant. Reasonable price with excellent taste. It deserves the best restaurant in Quebec City if you wish to visit a low cost place! Highly recommended AAA steak, sea food pasta and sea food risotto.

Food and service was very good. Our waitress, Nancy, was wonderful and attentive, and also absolutely no problems ordering or asking questions in English, so no worries there. I ordered the Mussels and Fries with the mustard sauce that Nancy recommended and I couldn't have been more pleased, it was excellent. My wife ordered the 4 cheese french onion soup and that was excellent as well. Will definitely come here again when we visit again.

This is our second time visiting this restaurant and every time had good experience. Make sure you reserve before you come since it is really popular. The seafood palle is excellent while I don’t like the chicken thighs. The chowder is really creamy. Overall, very worth to try

The food was more than worth waiting for half an hour for. Seafood Chowder is a must try. Fettuccini was also perfect for my taste. Faella was great too but a bit oily for my taste. But above all the good things this restaurant can offer, I think the service I've received was the best. We had Nancy serving our table and she was so professional and thoughtful. Even before I ask for anything, she'd already know if we'd like to be helped. For example, She perfectly timed the seafood so by the time we've finished it, out main dish was served right away. We've enjoyed the time and taste at the restaurant. I'd recommend anytime.

Very good food ! Seafood soup Delicious, rich and creamy. The onion soup is one of the best I've tasted, it's made just as it should be. The paella is very rich in seafood. They are very generous.good service And the prices are good for what they offer. thank you!

Made a reservation in advance and ordered paella and pasta. The paella is kind of wet. I like the sizzling version I had before in other places better as it's more crispy. Pasta dish has good ingredients with varieties but the pasta itself is not good because of it's soft texture.

Cozy and quaint atmosphere. Daniele was very friendly, provided great service and helpful suggestions. I ordered the featured Poutine which was so delicious and the Allie's French Martini with Quartz Canadian Vodka. This was the perfect place to start of my first night being in Quebec City and gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings of a Canadian Pub. Would definitely recommend!

The ambiance is soothing. Food was great. I ordered Le Vege Burger, came with a big block of shallow fried tofu, caramlized onion, veggies. The taste was to the mark. Service was smooth and staff was very friendly. 10/10 would visit again. And yes, The Cheesecake was heavenly. Definitely recommend it.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. We were seated in the ipper room which has a view of the city hall fountain. Great decor and awesome pub vibe. We ordered Ceasar salad and poutin for aps, steak, 4 cheese mac, burger and budda bowl. Good pub fare and service.

Almost everything tasted great. The seafood chowder was the best I ever had and would definely come again for it. The pasta for the seafood fettuccine was kinda bland though. Temperature wise though seafood chowder was not warm enough and the mussels on the fettuccine was cold, it was definitely not ideal Service and atmosphere was great Overall enjoyed my time at D'Orsay and will return for seafood chowder

Pictures on the menu was not represented in reality. Worst PAELLA ever, fried rice with frozen shrimp burnt sausage, dry fried chicken and tasteless rice placed in a paella pan. Chinese stir fry somewhere else is even better. Not a real paella. Shelfish pictured were missing and was told they were out of stock when the plate was served. Bread served was microwaved, tough and chewy. Chicken wings served was still cold in the middle.🤢🤮 spaghetti was ordinary. Not worth the 1hr wait time.

Went there for lunch. Place is so nice and lively. Ordered veggie burger (without reading the description) Veggie burger was just two slabs of big fat tofu and some salad. I didn’t like the taste at all. I read the description after ordering it does say marinated tofu. But the flavour was just so blend and flat. I had the veggie patty in my mind. Anyways if you are not a tofu fan! Please don’t order.

Love Pub D'Orsay! It's a must for us when we travel to Old Quebec city. This is a very popular place and worth waiting for a table. Had another amazing meal with my family...Le D'Orsay burger, grilled chicken breast, and braised beef papperdelle. We finished our meal with the most delicious maple syrup pie I've ever tasted. Our server Nancy was very friendly and attentive. I totally recommend dining here. We will definitely be back!

From: Downtown, Toronto Dilpreet & Prashant On 01st August 2021:- My wife and I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and we both definitely liked that you have a modern style. I would like to thanks the waiter who took a few pictures for both of us and the waitress (Daniello) who was coming and asking time to time if we need anything else. Last but not least a special thanks to Allyson (in the beautiful red dress) who gave us the best seat of the restaurant with an amazing outside view… she was also so nice and very friendly nature, hardworking, so energetic and so on… I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone… Thanks again for your service…

This restaurant has the best seafood chowder soup in town as it says on the menu. My husband and I enjoyed every sip and the seafood tasted very fresh. For the main course, the phonomenal seafood paella was our choice. The portion was huge enough for 3 when you order for 2, and it's loaded with delicious scallops, shrimp, mussels, sausage, and fried chicken drumsticks. They tasted so good! The only dish I didn't like was the escargot. Apparently they were smaller than average size but the taste was still impeccable. This is one of the best restaurants in Quebec City. We would highly recommend this place to all visitors here. Nancy was a very nice lady who served at our table, and her awesome hospitality really made our day. Thank you!

Took my parents here for some pub food while in QC for the Labour Day weekend. The restaurant looks so attractive from the outside with all the colors and plants. It was a bit busy so do expect some wait time. We shared the full rack of BBQ ribs and chicken wings. The ribs were nicely done, falling of the bones and very moist. The chicken wings were a little small but very juicy. The staff were busy but very efficient in taking care of all the customers.

D’Orsay was recommended to us by our friends back in the states and it did not disappoint. Excellent service from the hostess to our server Nancy. Food was great! French Onion Soup was really tasty. We couldn’t decide on which sauce to try the mussels with so we asked for Nancy’s recommendation and the mustard sauce did not disappoint! It was delicious and one of our highlight meal on our trip. She was extremely attentive and made our first stop in Old Quebec an enjoyable experience.

Great combinations of food quality and reasonable prices. Good selection of sea food dishes. Pleasant environment, more like a good restaurant than a pub. It's uniquely suitable for a romantic dinner and a family/friends gathering. I would definitely dine there again.

Amazing food, and gorgeous cocktails with incredible hosts. We went here twice on our 3-day Quebec City trip. A lot of items on the menu are sourced locally and are delicious. The cocktails are made with sophistication. Highly recommend you enjoy their cocktails and appetizers

Very friendly service. Food are also nice, I never had French onion soup before, I am glad I tried in this restaurant. If you love cheese and onion, please try it. Steak and linguine are good as well. Compare to others, this restaurant has better food with cheaper price.

Food is okay, small portions. I give the rating of one star because of poor service but shouldn’t be surprising based on other reviews. Expect to wait a while to order once you are seated and constantly chase your waiter/waitress throughout your stay

Best seafood paella 🥘 we've had in a while!! It was definitely more than enough for two big-appetite people. It came with lots of meat too so we were both impressed. The French onion soup was good, the escargot was meh but we were curious. The service was prompt and the place was cozy. Highly recommended!!

The best Seafood chowder I had in Canada. I have tried chowders in 2restaurants in Nova scotia and compared to them, D’orsey served the superb Chowder ever! We stayed 45minutes in line to get in on a 25th December eve, but its fully worth it! We tried appetizers, drinks, main meals and the desserts. All are top notch! The Apricot Brandy Sour cocktail is the best for me! Choco fondue is a go to for a choco lover 😍 Nancy served us well with a friendly smile even though she had many tables to serve. High five to the Kitchen staff as well 💖 Keep up the good stuff!

Charming pub in the heart of everything. My daughter loved her Mac & Cheese, and my seafood chowder was excellent. I wasn’t a fan of the cheesy garlic bread. The negative side of our visit was that our server never returned once after taking our order. I would think it’s customary to ask how the food is. We had to ask a different server if she could ask ours for the bill so we could leave. The service did not warrant a tip, but we gave it anyways as I’ve heard too many stories of patrons being humiliated for not leaving one.

Mussles had weird smell. It was not like sea water smell- rather it smelt like sewage. Also, we chew some sand/rock while we were eating it. Didn't (couldn't) eat even half of them. Cocktail was okay. Maybe other food would be good, but I am not coming back.

If these really are the “best mussels in Quebec” then I don’t particularly want to have mussels anywhere else in Quebec. A heaping portion size couldn’t cover for the fact that the mussels were lukewarm… clearly not freshly steamed. The sauce was heavy on tomato, light on garlic, and thus bland. The wife’s poke bowl was decent but… why was the tuna an up-charge when raw fish is a standard ingredient for any poke bowl? The best thing I had here was my beer. Service and bar ambiance were both fine, but they couldn’t save this meal from being a disappointing experience.

Burgers and poutine were good, we had a late lunch. Service could have been better- we were left waiting for quite awhile until we received menus and were able to order. Had to constantly chase waiter for water/ food was served without utensils or napkins etc. Were accommodating for young child - butter pasta/chocolate cake

  • 4/5 Pgogo 2 years ago on Google
The service was ok and the food good. Nothing wow except the pasta. The chowder felt like it had too much flour. If they ask if you want to cheese on pasta...it calls 5 dollars...same for the garlic bread. Not worth it to pay for that so much

The restaurant boasts a fantastic atmosphere, creating a wonderful dining experience. The staff is friendly, and I highly recommend the D’Orsay paella – a seafood chowder with rice that’s simply delightful. However, a heads up: during the high season, they don’t allow reservations. I went during a busy time and had to wait almost an hour despite seeing plenty of empty tables. Nevertheless, the delicious food makes the wait worthwhile. It’s a must-try spot if you’re willing to be patient for a table during peak times!

Good food, their Paella is epic. We had 4 adults and they all enjoyed their food. Would recommend for a person looking for flavourable food that melts the palate.

It was a great experience to have lunch there. There servers were very attantive and polite and the menu looked amazing. They have a great beer selection and their house soup was very tasty. They have one of the best poutines I've ever tasted. They need proof of vaccine at the entrance.

The service is really good and the food are very fresh! The decoration of this place is very pretty too! I really love the fact that they have non alcohol cocktail! It taste amazing and look amazing!! I definitely recommend this place!

Terrible food experience here. Although the reviews we read were very positive, our experience here was extremely negative. Every single dish that was ordered was not very good. Starting with the escago (snails), they were covered in butter and garlic. The taste was not very good and the thick cheese on top made me feel sick. I also got fish and chips where the French fries were burned and the fish tastes a bit old. The batter was also not very crispy. Also, the paella looked like it was made out of chicken scraps put together. Overall food quality was very bad and the price that our group paid was also quite steep. I highly recommend not coming here, I will not be back here in the near future

Their seafood menu is awesome! Great variety of entrees. Ordered seafood paella and seafood fettuccine! Both are delicious, big portion and amazing service! In the centre of old Quebec. Better to go early or make a reservation as it fills up quickly. Definitely recommend and will go back!

Went here last week. Stopped in after a long long drive and we’re so glad we did. Got the mussels and fries as well as the d’orsay burger. So so good. Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had and the mussels were so fresh.

Great corner pub. Attentive service, cold beer on tap, and a good variety on the menu. Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. Tried the seafood chowder and was fully satisfied.

Very nice environment and kind staff. A little disappointed in the nachos which were really big portion, but they had salsa poured over top of them which made them soggy before they reached our table and also not enough cheese. We also had the creme brûlée which was plated very nicely and delicious.

We made a reservation and was excited. The food is very good, but the only thing we didn’t like was the hair inside the drink and pasta. We told our server and he just calls us lucky for finding hair 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ (edit) Thanks Marcel for taking the matter seriously, I do not wish for any trouble for any employee. When I told the server about the hair in the drink, we did end up getting a new drink with cherry on top as a treat. The pasta still tasted amazing, we just removed the hair and gave it to the server. We love the decorations and vibe.

Very good food, drinks, service and location. Two-story gastropub. We had a burger with fries and truffle dressing, seafood pasta, 20 oz bloody Caesar (like bloody Mary) and local beers. They even have a few slot machines. Would go back.

Great food! But not so special like some other restaurants. Decent choice if you want some cozy chat and easy to read menu. The mussel was a bit smaller than ideal, but still tasted nice.

  • 5/5 Dawn L. 2 years ago on Google
Great food, excellent service. We got the Chicken Wings to start. For mains, we got the Steak Frites and Mussels and Fries. For dessert, the chocolate cake. We also got a bottle of wine. The bill came up to $130+ after taxes and tips which was pretty reasonable. All our dishes tasted very good. What's really impressive is the service - so helpful and kind!

A good honest friendly restaurant with good food at decent prices. I enjoyed especially the fish chowder, the beef pasta, the raw tuna & the paella over two suppers. Andre the server was excellent. Recommended.

Don’t expect the food taste good— too salty we ordered the seafood chowder, sooooo salty! Steak isn’t favoured enough, seafood plate is soooooo salty too. The onion ring is over fried However the chicken wing is very good!

Excellent food for a touristic stop in the Old Quebec. Service was good and the food was not bad at all! Really recommended!

  • 5/5 Nathan W. 2 years ago on Google
Too many bees to sit outside, but we were sat at a window seat with a nice breeze. Very attentive staff, ensuring our needs were met. The food was very good. She started off with the seafood chowder and I with the Brie...both, very good...the brie won though. She ordered the Paella for me and Beef Cheeks for herself. I, being a right proper gentleman, ate most of both because it was too rich for her, and they were both delicious!
