The employees are really kind and give good suggestions for drinks and snacks. I passed an excellent evening with my friend for over 2 hours straight. I was passing by the restaurant and my friend was there already. She took a beer or two. I took a beeramisu that was just so sweet and delicious. With the crème brûlée, it was to die for. Then I had a mix of many beers followed by a really well garnished onion soup. I feel like returning almost every week to try out any new items on the menu.

I had really great service here from a nice girl. The flights of beer and featured Cheeseburger Poutine was so good! I especially enjoyed the Maple Belgium beer and the sours were really good. There is on street parking available you just have to drive around and take a look. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Overall enjoyed my trip here.

Excellent service with charming staff! This is a very busy place so I recommend taking a reservation. I had the Boules de Bûcheron poutine which was great. The sauce is beer based and they are very generous with their cheese.

So glad we decided to stop by on our trip back to Ottawa from Mont St Anne. We had heard about La Souche when they were selling the Joggeuse Nano IPA at Quebec Mega Trail this past weekend. We loved the beer, something light, low alcohol and with electrolytes for the busy bodies. When we stopped by La Souche on our way home, we loved the vibe and decor immediately. An amazing variety of beer to choose from on tap, so flights were an obvious option. Between the two of us we tried a red, a few IPAs, and a sour - all very good. The fun one for us was 10e avenue (quadruple belge). We had great chats with friendly and knowledgeable staff, that is always the cherry on top - wonderful staff, thank you for entertaining us. We followed our stay with many many cans to go and hope to be back when we're in the area again. Thank you for your service!

Amazing food, absolutely fell in love with this place. Amazing beer brewed on the spot and they got one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten.

Cute little pub style place, has such an awesome vibe! The staff here are SUPER SUPER friendly, and we’re quite helpful to us English speakers ! The food was AMAZING I got a cheeseburger with poutine ! Both were great but the burger was EXTRA good. Honestly 10/10 recommend. Definitely a good place to check out, and also a very happening spot.

Super chill spot, the food was good the service excellent. We ate the chicken burger and the cheeseburger, both delicious. The have a good selection of there own beer and also have cocktails. You can purchase experimental beers at the boutique near by. I will definitively come back there.

I recently visited La Souche bar on Limoilou Street in Quebec City, renowned for its exceptional beers. The experience surpassed my expectations, offering a delightful array of experimental flavors that undoubtedly rank among the best I've ever tasted in Quebec. We indulged in American, Irish, and Munich beers, each a testament to the brewery's commitment to quality. The ambiance was enhanced by the welcoming and helpful staff, who added to the overall positive experience. La Souche is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts seeking a journey into unique and palate-pleasing brews. My time at this establishment left a lasting impression, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable beer-tasting adventure in Quebec City. Cheers!

Great beer garden. Very knowledgeable staff. They almost seem disappointed when you know what your want and they can't help you out while stroking their glorious hipster beards. I think everyone enjoyed all of their meals. I certainly did. That all said, what is a brew pub without great beer? La Souche does not disappoint. After all the years that I have been drinking their beer, both on site and from a can, I don't think I have caught up with all the amazing beers that they make. Their variety is huge, from English ales and West coast IPAs to much heavier beers this place has it all. Best can art to boot. Give them a go. You will come back.

Place is super nice! Great patio. Great service. Was there last night (August 1st) and had Smoked Meat Poutine and their Red Beer. The server (didn’t get a name) was super nice and made us feel really welcome. It’s a local place with a real neighborhood vibe. I loved it. If you want to get out of the tourist area of Quebec City go here. You can also walk down the road, it’s tree covered and look at the local architecture (the apartments with the stairs everywhere we loved) and at the end of the road (3rd street?) there is another few local bars you shouldn’t check out. Eat here and drink here!

Very nice place to eat with friends and the price arent too high either, its was very full when we arrived and there was no places inside and only outside place were left. The only thing was that we had to way longer for à crème brûler than the food we ordered but the waiter was very nice about it.

Wonderful service, even when seemingly understaffed. Great beer selection. Food was all really good, except the pizza. Tasted worse than a frozen pizza. That’s the only reason I can’t give 5 stars. However, I loved it

Awesome vibe, beers and food! I already knew them from their beers available in specialized beer stores, but it was my first time at the pub as I'm not from the area! Definitely recommend, and I'll be visiting again next time I'm in Quebec city!

La Souche is amazing!!! The food is great and quite original. We poutine-topped-hotdog and a Halifax-styled donair which were delicious! The selection of beer is of great diversity and quality for a reasonable price! The ambiance is really nice with a good choice of music, a nice terrace and a lovely pub-styled rustic decor. The service was perfect with waiters who have a lot of knowledge about their menu and are not shy when it comes to helping you make a choice! It is a must for beer lovers and anyone who is looking for a nice meal with their buddies!

Hearty and delicious meal of Onion Soup and traditional poutine. Hit the spot on a cold, blustery day.

What a place, there was queue to enter at like 18:00 Tuesday. Beers were plentiful and they were exotic and good. Poutine and cheese sticks were proper, but the service was sadly not very good this night, needed to ask for a check three times and then after half an hour of waiting we could finally leave. But otherwise a solid place.

This hip spot just north of the river is a great place to hang out and drink beer. Excellent music selection, great quality beers, and a clean spacious interior make this my favorite brewery so far in my Quebec City travels. Try the Canotiers Grande Réserve Acéricole! (Belgian Dubbel infused with maple syrup)

Great atmosphere, vast selection of beer (although many are sours) and friendly service. The chicken burger and battered cauliflower were insanely delicious, and the poutine with "Boules du bucheron" was also quite good!

Local is great. Not in the tourist buzz and a welcoming experience to sit between locals and have a scrumptious meal from a very compact menu. You need to speak French here to understand the locals but sign language worked very well for me and a bit of broken English (from some locals) made me connect very easily in this warm friendly atmosphere. Jan 2020 - I miss La Souche...

Great local pub/brewery. Awesome selection of local beers/ciders. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced, the poutine is quite good, lots of fresh curds.

A must for any craft beer enthusiast. Traditional beers done well plus modern and experimental styles that constantly change. Staff are super-friendly and handled all my nerdy beer questions

Great Bar, the beer selections were top-notch, staff super friendly. The menu was well rounded and the Chef’s Nachos are to DIE for. Will be coming here again when I’m in this area.

The IPA beers were really good. The appetizers were tasty. We were a bit confused with the hummus, taste was good but too much pepper. the waitress was friendly and helpful. Good brewery!

Great bar, close to the Cegep, so it is always crowd. We went around 5 pm on Wednesday and there was a lot of people, almost full. So if you do a reservation in advance, it may save you the wait for a table. The food is really good, and they have a wide variety of craft beers. Even with full house the service was good and quick. Lovely place for a beer!

Finally got a chance to check this brewpub out, it has a great rep but it's a bit out of the way. Very homey feel and decor, it's a great neighborhood pub. Service was great, our waitress knew her beers and gave us good suggestions. The beers were frankly excellent. The surprise for us was the quality of the food. The chilli, horse meat lasagna (!), everything was delicious. A well worth it detour in Limoilou, easily the best all-around brewpub in the Quebec City area.

Like the food and drink. Beer is good, fried chicken burger is delicious, and also like the poutine. Not so generous on pouring whiskey but it’s fine. In general highly recommend if you visit Quebec.
