A small cosy restaurant with incredible hospitality from the owner and staff and an exceptionally tasty cuisine. The food is very well made, richly prepared with quality ingredients. Everything we ordered was delicious, with generous portions and a balanced price. The staff is exceedingly friendly and courteous, and the owner is a jewel of a person. The waitress always had her corner under control and there was no table that was discarded. This is a highly recommended place if you're ever visiting Quebec City.

The food was good, but the service was truly exceptional. The gentleman serving us last night did anything he could to look after us. We are very grateful!!!! I cannot say enough good things about our dining experience. I think because this spot is tucked away, out of view from other attractions nearby, it might get overlooked. For those of you looking for a good place to eat, this is perfect! You should consider dining here! It is quiet and we were treated like royalty. A+. Bravo!!!!!

It's a hidden gem just off the artists' alley. We sat outside on the terrace for dinner. The weather was perfect and the lights and the fire made it cozy. Overhead heaters; blankets if needed. Glass pumpkin centerpieces added to the ambiance. The cheesecake was dense, creamy and delicious.

This was my favourite place to eat in Old Quebec City! Tucked away on a small side street, we had dinner on the cutest patio. I ordered the 3 course meal and it was a great deal for $35. I was happy to have a truly authentic Quebecois meal. Yellow pea soup was a good size appetizer. The meat pie was piping hot out of the oven and very flavourful, fries were crispy and the fruit ketchup and beets were the perfect side accompaniment. Maple syrup pie was sweet and rich. Also ordered escargot and they were buttery, garlicky and yummy. Would definitely recommend.

We had one of our best meals in Quebec at this hidden cafe. The escargot was flavorful and tender. The salmon with maple glaze was amazing.

Found this little gem while walking around Old Quebec City. What draw me to it was the outside seating plus, the soup/salad combo on their menu. Both soups were excellent- French onion and white pea. Service was great. Definitely recommend 👌

We were greeted very friendly and seated by the fireplace. Food came quickly and was delicious. The mother and son that run this restaurant went above and beyond to make our experience pleasurable so much so that we stayed over 4 hours. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

We found this little gem based on other reviews and it was the best find. The white sangria is actually pink, and quite refreshing. We had classic combinations of meat pie and onion soup. The maple syrup pie is a requisite ending.

Underrated restaurant! All of the employees are so nice and accommodating. They made sure all of the meals were plated well. The best service I have received in Quebec. I got the French onion soup and the chocolate crème brûlée and everything was delicious. Note that you have to access the restaurant through a side street. Beautiful ambience and not as crowded as the restaurants on the Main Street

Perfect can't complain. Hidden gem, I think it's tucked away and people miss it because of the tourist traps. Server/host had short hair and beard, very nice man.

The food here was pretty bad, I ordered the steak-frites which came overcooked and bland. My wife ordered the salmon which was undercooked and not appetizing. I enjoyed the French onion soup, although my wife did not so I guess it's hit or miss. The maple pie was delicious for dessert. The service was slow and the food was overpriced for the poor quality. The patio was quaint and well decorated, the atmosphere was nice which we did enjoy. They allowed our dog to stay with us while we ate, and brought some water in a bowl for her to drink. I would not recommend nor would I return to this spot.

Great salmon, could easily go to the supermarket and buy 7x more for the same price and get more Protien. Although food was good the wait was long to revive the food. Would recommend if you are not that hungry

This was such a cute spot! Yummy cheesy French onion soup and a croque monsieur! simple yet satisfying. it’s in the middle of town so there isn’t an insane amount of foot traffic around you, not very loud either. really enjoyed this place ☺️

If you’re looking for a family owned and run cafe in the heart of town, you’ve found one! It’s located down an ally way, so it’s more protected from the noise, wind, and crowds while having the beautiful terrace aesthetic. The French onion soup is no joke. It comes freshly made in a large pot and is full of flavor. If you’re American and looking for something unique, try the elk stew. I finished my meal off with a chocolate cream brûlée that’s defiantly ranked in my top deserts.

A friend and I ate here tonight and it was amazing. We made the mistake of over ordering elsewhere so decided to share a 3 course meal and add some extras. The cauliflower soup of the day and the escargots were delicious, the Quebec pie was very tasty and the maple syrup pie, albeit very sweet, was off the scale good!!! Very friendly host and staff 😍🥰😄

All the food we order were awesome and tasted excellent. I finished everything including the ice cream crepes. We belonged to a tour bus rendezvous for which they chose this restaurant and it was delicious, honestly! My steak melts in my mouth I didn’t even have to ask for A1 or worstershire sauce (sorry can’t spell that). Great dinner for the entire group.

$24 nacho. 15% service charge was already added to the bill to make it to $31 after tax and tip. According to the server who talked to me, the 15% service charge is the same whether I dine in or take out because she needs to hand over the box from the kitchen.. I worked myself in restaurants and it didn't work that way so I didn't understand and I wanted to cancel the order but she said the order was already in even if the tables were all full and there was a line of people. She said she would get the 15% service charge off so I accepted it. Then the food came out super quickly like in 2 mins. I brought it to hotel which is 3 min away and had a bite. It was soggy like premade food. Personally the quantity was smaller than many other places. Hope they didn't do it because I didn't give them 15% service charge as people who dined in. Maybe just travel trap or just because the rent is high that the food price is high too.

Found this cute place trying to get out of the rain! Me and my mom both got the french onion soup with Cesar salad and garlic bread! It was beyond delicious! The staff where extremely friendly and the environment was very welcoming for everyone. Would highly recommend you go for any of the food as every dish they brought out looked tasty. Overall I would definitely return to this adorable little spot! Thank you for the amazing experience and food!

Great food and great service. We were tired of walking and we had a small dog with us. We just wanted to sit down before heading out back to Montreal. The servers were extremely accommodating us, even with our puppy. We enjoyed the food and the rest. Thank you guys.

Wonderful restaurant! We had a really good time there with our dog. Very glad they accepted our furry kid. The patio is charming and has heat. Food is delicious. We ordered the meat pie and steak. Both awesome. The maple tart is a must have.

We have just spent a week on vacation between Montreal and Quebec City and have to say that this was one of our most favorite meals - the onion soup was incredible, the torchiere was extremely authentic and the cheese cake was delicious! However, what stood out for us, above everywhere else we had been, was the ABSOLUTE Superb service from Karen and Lydia! These two ladies single-handedly, handled the continuous influx of customers, in a friendly, efficient and professional manner. They were answering questions in both English and French, never mis-serving any meal, keeping strict COVID protocols and at all times with constant smiles on their faces! We sincerely hope the owners appreciate them!

The worst experience I've ever had in my life. There's a full course menu that does not include any vegetarian meals. We asked if we could change any of the 4 different options for a vegetarian one and the waiter said he simply couldn't UNDERSTAND. Mind you we were speaking perfect French, he simply ignored us and said that if we wanted the 3 courses we would have to pay extra. He just kept saying he didn't understand our request and that the restaurant worked this way for more than 20 years and no changes can be made. Definitely not coming back.

I came here for lunch recently. The server was very friendly and helpful with suggesting a light lunch. In terms of food, I tried the French Onion Soup Trio: Soup, Caesar Salad, and Garlic Bread. The caesar salad and garlic bread were nice in terms of flavour and freshness, and the french onion soup was okay. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, especially considering the value.

Service was fantastic, as was the food. There was a bit of a wait but only because we wanted to sit outside. They do not (or at least couldnt that night) take reservations and was quite busy spot so I would recommend arriving on the earlier side for dinner. Table ordered a tourtierre, caribou stew, and 2 steak meals all were fantastic. The salads were all extremely delicious....one of the best ceasar salads I have ever had. Dressing was somehow both decadent and light. Prices were reasonable. Strongly recommend.

Everything was horrible, the staff... Well, let's be real. The staff were amazing, very personable and welcoming... The food? Well...read in viewing... Always do their special... We started with their Escargot...maybe ask for half the cheese, but very delicious! I had the Caribou Stew...it comes with a nice salad and rice. Hesitant trying new food, but I'm so glad I ordered this. None left. Simply awesome! And as I've eaten here many years ago I was drawn to order their Maply Syrup Pie before and wondered if I really liked it last time or thought I did. Today flconformed it...I really like it! Well done! Merci!

Very nice dog friendly terrace. We came with our pup and toddler and the staff brought a bowl of water for our doggo within seconds. They were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The club burger and hamburger were both tasty and the fries were both crispy and plentiful. We will definitely return the next time we're in Quebec.

Overall great restaurant 5/5

A great place for lunch (or any meal) in Quebec City. We had a nice lunch and drinks on the restaurant's outside terrace, which had many patrons, but the restaurant maintained Covid safety by seating patrons far from each other and requiring a mask upon entry (prior to eating). A menu sure to please everyone. Also a great place to people watch. We didn't wait long for a table, nor our food and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

The Table D’hors option is well worth it compared to other places, especially for Quebec style food. Entrees come with generous serving of a side and small salad. Tourtière is unique and made with cinnamon. Maple pie was really good.

We were here for an anniversary dinner. We were walking around Quebec City looking at the posted menus. We chose Café-Terrasse because it looked cute and had a lot of vegetarian options for me. The service was efficient and friendly and the meals were delicious including the maple pie which we had never had. Covid protocols were followed including checking our vaccine confirmations and matching ID.
