During
our
visit
to
Quebec
City
to
celebrate
my
husband's
birthday,
we
decided
to
dine
at
the
highly
acclaimed
steakhouse
in
the
old
port,
where
I
had
made
reservations
for
8
pm
on
a
Saturday
night.
As
avid
steak
enthusiasts,
we
were
eager
for
a
delightful
culinary
experience,
given
the
restaurant's
top-notch
reputation.
Unfortunately,
our
evening
did
not
unfold
as
smoothly
as
anticipated.
To
start
our
meal,
we
ordered
the
steak
tartare,
burrata,
and
onion
soup.
While
the
overall
quality
of
the
food
was
acceptable,
we
encountered
a
hiccup
with
the
tartare,
which
arrived
without
crostinis.
We
brought
this
to
the
server's
attention,
and
by
the
time
the
issue
was
addressed,
it
was
already
9:45
pm—just
15
minutes
before
the
kitchen
closed.
The
prolonged
wait
for
our
appetizers
dominated
a
significant
portion
of
our
dining
experience.
Feeling
pressed
for
time,
we
hastily
placed
an
order
for
steaks
and
a
couple
of
glasses
of
wine.
Additionally,
we
requested
the
sides
to
be
packed
in
a
to-go
container
(which
they
didn't
do).
Regrettably,
the
steak
arrived
late
and
cold,
accompanied
by
fries
that
were
stale,
imparting
an
unpleasant
oily
taste.
Furthermore,
the
wine,
ordered
before
the
steak,
arrived
a
staggering
half
an
hour
late,
adding
to
the
overall
frustration
of
the
evening.
Anyways,
we
rushed
out
of
there
without
even
having
a
cake
for
the
birthday.
Food
was
good,
service
not
so
much.
