Great French restaurant right in the cruise terminal of Old Quebec city. Excellent views of the Saint Lawrence River even at night. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and wine pairings. I had the French onion soup made with red beer and hubby had the smoked salmon carpaccio. We both throughly enjoyed them. For the mains, our son had a NY steak, I had the burger and hubby had the pork tomahawk. All were delicious and flavourful. Dessert was a deep fried ice cream with caramel sauce and strawberry cheesecake. These were amazing and paired well with the espresso martinis. We had a terrific evening and totally recommend dining at Cafe du Monde.

had the opportunity to taste authentic quebec cuisine- we ordered warm salad with duck confit + roasted monkfish. truly one of the best food we’ve had in quebec city. this restaurant offered a nice view of the ocean and had exceptional service. for the atmosphere and service we’re in, the food is fairly priced and would definitely recommend asking the servers for suggestions. restaurant is nearly decorated!

What a great place to check out. A very good historical restaurant locates in old Quebec right on the St Lawrence River. Fantastic views of the river. Ample parking. The interior was one if elegance with a great spot with evening out with friends. A full menu with great menu choices.

Gorgeous restaurant. Friendly service. Great food!!!! I got the salmon tartare entree, it was fresh and tasty. We shared the endives salad, a bit on the sweet side with the candied pecans but great flavor. Bloody caesar was good. Our waitress was so friendly and kind. Can’t wait to go back!

How's this place a 4.5 *? The food at this place is horrible. It's a beautiful place over the looking the water and service is decent. But food is mediocre at best. For a place like this charging over $40/person for breakfast should really consider changing the menu and make tasty food. They're simply banking on the location and view.

This place is awesome and busy. But they are so efficient. The service is fantastic I could only imagine how cool this place is when cruises port here. Food and service is great. Beautiful restaurant.

Tasty food and beautiful view! I went for lunch with my husband and ordered the seafood chowder which was really amazing, very flavourful and delicious, also the cassoulet with duck leg was awesome! Each dish was good enough for one person, prices are kind of salty but I guess was worth it. The view from the restaurant is wonderful and the service good. If I would visit Quebec city again, I will go back for sure to try the brunch menu.

Not a cafe but a brunch place. Go early to get a spectacular view of St Lawrence. I watched the snow fall onto the water and landscape. What a dream of an experience. The food is excellent given how good the views are. Service is exceptional as well.

Always a “sure shot” going to this beautiful Parisian style restaurant overlooking the St.Laurence River. The staff was really courteous, polite and efficient. The food was delicious as always . You get two hours free parking with the restaurant parking ticket. I Highly recommend !

I visited this restaurant recently and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, our first round of fish and chips arrived cold, possibly still frozen, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the sauce seemed to have been left out for a while, as its color had changed. On a positive note, the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and the servers were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Despite the initial food issues, the overall experience was saved by the lovely atmosphere and the attentive staff.

The staff was great and the food was amazing. Our favourite restaurant out of all of them in the area. They get busy, so make sure to make reservations.

My wife and I are dined at Le Cafe du Monde at the very end of December 2023 and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience in every way. The menu was diverse and our selections were incredibly delicious and satisfying. We were also very pleased with the service that was provided by our server Gabriel who was attentive and made the evening even more special. We were certainly return again when we are once again in Quebec City.

Took a girls brunch there and everything was perfect , the stuff was so friendly asked to change my coffee because it was cold and got a warm latte with art♥️ the view was astonishing and the food was great. The crème brûlée is a 10 😌

Absolutely fabulous French breakfast. Service by Victor and Marie-Melanye was superb. Ask for a window seat for wonderful view of the river. Very popular so suggest reservations. You will be transported to France. Lovely music and delicious food!

Quebec City has phenomenal restaurants to dine in and this is no exception. Although we found it hard to find after getting into another section of the building when taking the elevator - suggest taking the stairs which leads directly to the large, open, airy and spacious restaurant. Huge menu choice. Excellent and well priced wine. Really lovely, friendly service. Great food! Lovely view of the water. Book and go!

Very busy and reservations are recommended. We had a large group and had to wait til the next day to get in. Food was delicious and most in our group had a great time. Seafood chowder was an excellent appetizer and meals from Veal medallions to steak tartar and burgers were all really enjoyed. Only knocks would be that seating is a bit tight. Server did an excellent job especially considering how busy they were at dinner time.

Nice restaurant overlooking the river. Food is good quality but does feel slightly “mass produced”, almost like a cruise ship kitchen, but this is a pretty minor complaint. Food arrived very fast and service was good. A restaurant this size needs more than 1 vegetarian option (and we were initially told it was cooked with beef gravy?!)

A must go when in beautiful Quebec city! Great restaurant with amazing food . I had the veal filet with shrimp done perfectly. Our server, Maryse, was the best!! She made us feel welcomed, spoke perfect English, was funny and took the time to explain the menu. The view of the river is beautiful. We had a great time here.

Our first stop in Quebec City was great. Good food, great service and a beautiful terrace. Based on other photos I thought we would be right along the water pathway. We enjoyed the lunch special “planche du monde” a charcuterie board. Not usually a fan of creton - but their homemade style was good!

Had a nice birthday dinner here. The duck confit salad was great as were the fish and chips. Has lovely views of the water which I imagine would be even nicer in the daylight! Definitely worth a repeat visit for brunch next time I'm back in Quebec

Perfect experience. Waiteress was friendly & informative. Food was beyond exceptional. View was amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant added as well! Right down to the temperature in the restaurant, not too cold, not to hot. Salman tartare was great! Dessert was fantastic. (got both creme brulee & lemon meringue)

Amazing experience. Make sure to ask them for a table with the view as they have a great terrasse from which you can behold the river while enjoying your food. Fish and chips were great, very tasty and succulent. Crème brûlée was also fantastic, not overwhelmingly sweet, just as it should be.

We received a gift card for breakfast. I can't believe I have lived in Quebec for 40 years and yet never ate there. Our breakfasts were delicious. The view was amazing. Our waitress was exceptional and the service was impeccable. After seeing the reviews now, our only regret is not getting the breakfast poutine. We will back soon to try it for sure!

Went for lunch here and was very impressed. The atmosphere, view, food and service were excellent. Price range is normal for a place in this location.
