We should have read the reviews and especially the vulgar owner responses to the reviews before going here. We experienced the same issue warned by the other reviewers. We were a group of 7, and were stopped from entering the restaurant when we reached the entrance . We were asked to provide a ‘commitment’ that we’ll order one ‘main course’ per person very rudely. It became worse, And while we were discussing what to order, the staff snatched the menu from us and told us to go out !! Who does this?! That too in a wonderful city like Quebec! We thoroughly enjoyed the city, but this experience was a black mark for the trip .

Very authentic food, great service as well as great quality and quantity. Bonus because it’s Halal. Best Moroccan food in Québec city. Very tasty we loved it so much. Their Moroccan tea was the highlight of our evening. Perfect for the breezy weather. Beautiful terrace and entree with Moroccan music it felt very authentic. Very friendly & welcoming staff.

Beautiful place with a good ambiance. Located in the heart of old Quebec, it gives a special value to visit. The food was great, it has a very rich taste and the price was not expensive. They decorate it very well. Regarding to the covid concern, they put a sink at the entrance to wash your hands. Then you will enter a small corridor of rocks, then the restaurant will be at the end of the corridor. Preferable visit time will be during summer, so you can enjoy the night view while sitting in the terasse of the restaurant. Baklava and mint tea are must try items here.

No courtesy, no respect, vulgar, shameful and rude. to this restaurant and advise against it to anyone wishing to visit this restaurant. On the other hand, I know that you do not reserve the same service in Quebec!! In short, my great bad experience in a restaurant in the middle of Ramadan in the downtown of Quebec City Hchouma

This place is easy to miss amongst the other restaurants in the street because it is situated at the end of a narrow alley but please don’t sleep on it. This is the most flavorful food I had in my trip. The Royal Kebab meats are done well which included chicken, sausage, kofta, and beef but the vegetables did not disappoint either. Our server was nice and the chef was accomodating with any food preference. We chose outside seating as it was a little too dark inside.

Absolutely incredible and such a cozy atmosphere! We got taboulé, soup, beer, couscous végétarien, and the royal kebab. Perfectly cooked and amazingly seasoned. Wouldn’t change a thing!

Nice place that transports you from Quebec City to Morocco. You go down a nice courtyard to the back where the restaurant is. There are some tables outside. We had the Royal Tajine and Mergiez Couscous. The Moroccan mint tea is also excellent. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like a honored guest.

Hated it. Receptionist said because we have a stroller we can't be allowed to sit or even takeaway. We asked if we leave stroller outside and then come inside with our kid. She said no. That's restaurant policy. Zero stars. V rude waitress on duty tonight. In addition you guys are pathetic that you replied back and instead calling me out when u don't have the audacity to accept how wrong u guys were. Or admitting that the waitress mistake. . I've only left one review. Not fraudulent. Why would I do that. I'm glad I went to Paris Tacos instead. Their service was amazing. And so was the food. So yes lucky for me for saving my money and time.

I was turned away from the restaurant because I am “Maghribi” when I politely asked the owner if I can occupy a table with my family. My family included me and my husband with 1 year old. It was not just me, as soon as I was asked to leave rudely with hand gestures, one more family who could speak French asked the concerned person if we are not welcome due to our origin and he responded yes and they too came out of the restaurant along with me. I never faced such issue in the past and understand if there is a capacity issue but it was not the case.

A wonderful restaurant! The whole experience was amazing. You start off having to walk down a beautifully decorated corridor to get to the restaurant. Once there, you’re greeted by the friendliest staff. Our hostess/waiter was super friendly and attentive. He also gave us a great recommendation regarding portion sizes. Which, by the way, are very generous for the price of dishes. The taste of everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. The spices gave the dish a lovely flavour without being too spicy and it was so good that it satisfied both the picky eater and the sensitive stomachs of the family. The ambiance was very relaxed with lively background music that was enjoyable but not so loud that it was hard to carry a conversation. It was the perfect place to enjoy a nice dinner after a long day of walking around and sightseeing. We were very surprised to find such an outstanding and affordable restaurant in the middle of the tourist area. Overall, a superb experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Quebec.

Worst dinner in the World , Waitress has a worst service and attitude do not mention about professionalism, food quality is poor , ambiance is bad Do not go with friends or family anytime they’re not welcome for group or couples Don’t waste your time and money. Reply To Restaurant Review; First of all I do not have a stroller, and I don’t want to harm your business. I just want to inform other people for your rudest service, By the way if you do not like truth voice from the customer you must change your service style, not customers review. You can report any review but mine is not fraudulent you will understand the difference.

Small cozy restaurant. Great choice on the old town if you’re in the mood for something other than French/Italian. Great food and great service. Had Couscous Royal. It was very good.

Delicious and cozy! We’ve spent a lot of time in Morocco and this food was so authentic!very friendly and attentive staff. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall spot, which is always the best.

Sat my husband and I at a table for two outside. We asked if we could sit at a table for four because the table was so small you couldn't even fit two dinner plates on it. The waiter said no because they might be expecting a crowd. We were there around 6 o'clock and spent around 45 minutes eating. During that time, no one had shown up for outside seating. Very disappointing in the service. Food was just okay. Would not go back.

We thought the menu was interesting and was so looking forward to trying out the Moroccan food. Alas we were left with a bad taste. That's without getting to actually eat there. The management were extremely unprofessional. Were initially asked to book over phone for next day because they were booked that day. Could only reach voicemail. Then early evening we go in and the lady server promises to reserve 4 spots for us after consulting the "manager". There were hardly anyone at the time but when we arrive later there were people and the hapless servers wouldn't even talk. But worse, manager comes and rudely and loudly informs us that no more bookings and we should leave. He needs to get a grip on anger and customer service. Will be back in Quebec city but never to that restaurant.

We decided to go there despite the bad review about the stroller. As we arrived they simply asked us to fold the stroller and gave us a good table to put it close to us. Staff was kind and she did her best to please us. The food was very good. We had one couscous and two tajine with mint tea and it was flavourful. Glad we could bring the rest home as the portion are generous. Lamb and merguez were our favorite meat !

The place is nicely decorated and the service is good too. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. Food was served on time. However, the portion was small in comparison to the price. Other than that, food tasted good and very homemade. Mint tea was very refreshing and delicious.

Delicious food in a beautiful courtyard. The courtyard was set back from the street so it was peaceful and quiet - a truly lovely spot for a meal! The service was great too! We got the chicken tagine with olives, the merguez couscous and some mint tea. Everything was wonderful!

My mother and I accidentally found this place while wandering around Quebec City. It was one of the only places that did not have a crazy lineup to get in. The food was great, the prices were fair, and the service is very good. I love how hidden and intimate this place is.

My wife and I stumbled upon the restaurant situated close to our hotel while out for a walk. We decided to try it but were nearly dissuaded by some of the negative reviews. In the end, we opted to give it a try and have absolutely no regrets. When we arrived another couple was leaving who confirmed it was delicious. We have never had Moroccan cuisine so we shared our dishes back and forth. We started with the Moroccan soup and Couscous salad, then the Chicken Tajine and the Royal Couscous. All of these were fantastic with a breadth of flavours with none overpowering. We went prune instead of olive in the Tajine which created a slightly sweet contrast. We finished with espresso and Baklava for dessert and are so happy we took the chance. Our server (maybe the owners son??? It's a family business) was very helpful and attentive throughout the evening. Based on our experience tonight, I'd fully recommend eating here for a dining experience a little different than many of the nearby restaurants.

Authentic Moroccan food, great service as well as the quality and quantity. It’s also Halal. I would personally say it’s the best Moroccan restaurant in Québec city. It was absolutely delicious, we enjoyed it. The Moroccan tea was the highlight of our evening. It was perfect for the cool/breezy weather. Cute terrace/entry with Moroccan music — unique ambiance. Definitely a MUST TRY & a GEM in the city!

We rarely rate anything so high, but we were so pleasantly surprised by this little gem. After walking the streets looking for something different, we stumbled on the sign on the street for La Maison Marocaine. It was dark already, and traveling down the dark alley to the door was like traveling to a different country. The interior was dimly lit, and offered a very warm and private atmosphere. Our server was very attentive, and made sure we enjoyed the meal and the experience. The Kefta was delicious, and the tea afterwards was wonderful. The portions may have been slightly smaller, but we were left satisfied! Wonderful experience, and we were glad we stumbled across this gem!

GREAT food, the tajines and merguez starter were delicious, would definitely come back and highly recommend it. Cozy restaurant, quiet, because it's off the beaten track but undeservedly so.

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience here. The service was friendly and the food was excellent. We had the Tagine Royale and the Lamb Couscous and they were both delicious. We finished off with baklava and Moroccan tea and it was very pleasant. We’d be back soon if we weren’t from so far away.

The starters (moroccan salad and tabbouleh) were delicious, fresh, lots of flavour! The menu was minimal with only one main option for vegetarians. The mains themselves were disappointing and very bland. Baklava dessert was nice and not overly sweet.
