Sandwiches are delicious. Perfect texture and flavours Staff is friendly and they understands English as well I got a large mochaccino. It is a medium in size compared to starbucks and other places but super expensive and no taste. It tatse like flavoured water. Absolutely the worst. Really expensive for small size no flavour coffees. There is a Starbucks nearby. Better to go there.

Good coffee and soft ice cream 🍦 It can get crowded but we went there early, so we did not have to wait in line! We ordered petite size ice cream and it was enough for us! The coffee was also good!

Good spot for a quick coffee, pastries, or gelato. The staff is friendly. We were glad to see it wasn’t a Starbucks, because we try to eat local when we are traveling.

"Au 1884 is an absolute gem, exuding delightful charm in every corner. Situated next to the iconic Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, it occupies a coveted spot on the picturesque Dufferin Terrace. This enchanting establishment invites you on a culinary adventure, treating your taste buds to a splendid range of delectable delights. From mouthwatering sandwiches and tantalizing snacks to invigorating hot and cold beverages, their menu is a testament to culinary craftsmanship. Moreover, their alluring assortment of maple products and delightful array of gelato add an extra touch of indulgence. During our visit, we simply couldn't resist the allure of the captivating flavors beckoning from their gelato selection. The combination of salted caramel, coffee, and hazelnut, lovingly nestled in a perfectly crafted waffle cone, created a symphony of taste that transported us to a realm of pure bliss. The attention to detail extended even to their scoops, with options available in various sizes, catering to all preferences. Relishing these exquisite treats while soaking in the breathtaking view from their vantage point was nothing short of a divine experience. It felt like stumbling upon an unexpected gift, a genuine blessing in disguise." Recommended!!!

The cashier forcibly takes tips from tourists. He already pressed the menu for ‘tip’ on the terminal and passed it on to me. There was no option for ‘no tip’. Definitely takes advantages of non-French speaking tourists. The dudes making coffee though were very friendly despite their coffee tasting very bad. Would not return.

We visited this place to go toboggan sliding. Located in Dufferin Terrace on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, this is one of the oldest ride in Quebec city (Old Quebec), the view itself is excellent. The ride is very inexpensive, $3 per person and $10 for a family of four. The waiting line is long but definitely worth it. The toboggan slide is just superb, a must-do in Quebec city.

We had free gelato as a coupon for staying at the chateau. We had 3 kinds of flavours and they were all good. Enjoyed it with the view from the terrace overlooking the river.

This place, surprisingly, had the best food out of most of the higher end restaurants we ate at in the area. Got more food and value here than at both of the Italian restaurants I highly regretted going to. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff.

Small shop you can pop in fmto grab s drink, snack or drink. We got lattes and croissants. I'm usually not a coffee person but it was divine! They also warmed up our croissants. Very small location, only a few seats inside.

On a windy evening at -10c° at 5:30pm we ask politely and almost beg, if we could just stand inside to warm up a little bit. I came with my GF as tourist from a warm climate country, so we needed to warmed up a little bit, before walking back to the car, and the barista told us no, we are close, when google maps says they close at 6pm. We told him we were not gonna buy anything, just stand in there. While they were doing the dishes. Very disappointed about this place. And the costumer service, denying somebody a warm place I. The winder is definitely not right during this season.

Discovered recently this café. Mesmerizing views on St Laurent river and Château Frontenac. Friendly staff. Great service. Visiting Québec city and not for the 1st time coming in here to grab a coffee with croissant. Nice place to relax and to enjoy the city.Thank you

Food and drinks were overpriced for what you got. The matcha especially tasted like powdered grass with milk. I would like to give this place 0/10, but 1/10 would be more accurate. The people were kind, they aren’t the problem whatsoever. That’s the only reason why this place gets more than zero stars. There was no option to not tip, which made the already overpriced items, even more pricy. Did not appreciate. It was very busy and crowded. No real flow to the shop. Would not go back.

We did the toboggan ride in mid-December and really enjoyed it. Just $3 per person and easily one of the top winter activities we did while visiting Quebec City.

Awesome maple gelato. The fruity ones are basically ground fruit, not creamy at all

Be aware of safety issues. I had a serious accident. Please require that the safety of your children and yourself can be guaranteed before taking the chance of having a major accident. They told me after the fact that the weather conditions were bad and an accident have not happened since 2016. How I was supposed to know? Even one accident is enough to be alarmed. What if a child was involved? A high speed shock with an employee who was removing the snow from the slide is unacceptable. Is the minimum to ask for: no humans on the tracks when your descent starts. They provided first aid, wrote an accident report, refunded the tickets and told me a meeting with the employees will take place. My head was hit by the employee’s full body and doctors in the emergency room ordered immediate exams due to the severity of the « crash » (a friend was recording and a video was available). A small communication error from their side can have major consequences for their clients. Ask for no people or objects on the tracks before they release you, otherwise you will find yourself on the emergency room and your visit to Quebec City will be ruined.

Fun snow sled ride with reasonable price. Only thing is that there's no washroom close by. (Closest one is in the hotel behind it)

Don’t even bother buying toboggan tickets online, you’ll still have to wait in the same long purchasing line as everybody else just as long as if you didn’t buy them in advance. Also, you have to wait in the long ride line repeatedly for every ticket that you use.
