We stopped in on a whim to see if there was room for 2 at the bar and we were welcomed right in. We ordered off the special menu and that was a real treat. I started with the French onion soup. Excellent!! The burger rustique was probably the best burger I'd ever had. The bacon on it tasted like it was candied with maple syrup. Nice touch! It came with fries and a salad. The bartender was amazing. He made sure you we were content at all times and explained all the meals in detail. Oh...I can't forget the dessert! Poor man's pudding!! Wow... insanely good. It comes with ice cream. My husband had filet mignon cooked at a medium temperature. He was happy as a king. Great experience all around😋

Sit at the bar for a royal treatment. Hobnob with diplomats. Get the Braised Cheeks. Not a single bad dish at this establishment. Good wine and desert selection too.

Reasonable value for the food, ambience, availability, and service. The menu set they offer was convenient. Service was pleasant: somewhere between European-laid-back and American-quick-turnover. Husband got the set and I got a French onion soup with a main course, and that was just about the perfect portion between the two of us. Really recommend the French onion soup, but I also just happen to really like this dish.

Great food and drinks at a place with lively atmosphere. The mussels, french onion soup, tuna tataki with spicy mayonnaise and caviar were top notch. The Old Fashions were a generous pour of Maker's Mark and our server, Sabrina, deserves special mention. She was fabulous and as busy as she was, she took the picture of us at our table.

The restaurant was very beautiful and the waitress was very nice. However, I ordered the ribs and fries but was given what tasted like ribs that had been pre-packaged and reheated. I was also shocked that I was told I must tip minimum $30. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be coming back here.

We're visiting from Minnesota and dtsy nearby, this restaurant is right around the corner, this we went ovet for dinner. Friendly service, really good grubs: the Fish and Chips was done perfectly, and the Chacuterie plate was put together beautifully and tasted great. Give this place a try.

It was really a good experience. The service was great, they were fast and they quickly fixed the drink we had trouble with. The price for the food is pretty fair compaired to the other restaurant around. The other restaurant were pretty expensive compared to this. Would come back for sure if we lived closer.

As i remember…. I used to go to Frères de la Côte for Mussels and fries with my sister, and was surprised it had moved to a different location… 8 years ago according to my waitress! It used to have a wide variety of flavors for mussels, but this time, there were only two. The Marinière was my choice, and I wasn’t disappointed. They were as delicious as I remembered. Staff was also super friendly, despite being a busy evening.

We had lunch here before our flight back to the states and it was PERFECT!! We were treated wonderfully by the lovely staff and the food/drinks were excellent. Thank you for sending us out of Montreal with the most delicious memories!!!

I recently dined here and regrettably had an extremely disappointing experience. Not only was the service slow, but it also felt intentionally delayed. What made matters worse was the rude response we received from the server when we inquired about the delay. The delay in serving our food was not only frustrating but also left us feeling unwelcome. It's disheartening to think that such behavior might be motivated by racial bias. Discrimination of any kind has no place in a restaurant or any establishment. I believe in giving every place a fair chance, but this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I sincerely hope this restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their service and addressing any issues related to discrimination. I would strongly advise potential customers to consider their options carefully before choosing to dine here.

My husband and I went for my birthday dinner last night, and although this place wasn’t our first choice, we loved it! I was looking for a quiet atmosphere and the place did not disappoint us. The food was great, delicious dessert, the service was amazing and our server was really nice! We absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Location, atmosphere and service was really good. The menu is pricey and unfortunately the food is not worth it. I don’t know how it’s possible but everything was very bland. We were 4 people and ordered different plates. French onion soup good cheese to broth ratio bland taste. Spaghetti bolognese was bland. The pepperoni pizza the sauce was bland and overloaded with cheese and the pepperoni tasted cheap. The shrimp fettuccini with wine sauce. The shrimp tasted like freezer burn and the sauce was bland. The only dish that was worth the price and was somewhat tasty was the salmon with veggies and pesto pasta. The pasta in all dishes tasted very cheap. Very disappointing experience for a 200$ meal no alcohol in that price.

Amazing dinner. Food was great. Best French Onion Soup I have had in years. Service was better. Phillip was amazing. He has a dry sense of humour coupled with timely service. Music and ambience was awesome. A great experience had by all in my party of four.

When you want a quiet environment and interesting food choices this is a good choice. We had enough burgers and pizza, this was better and not more expensive. Good alcohol selection . Liked it a lot. Could have had some chicken and seafood choices though. Nice music.

We arrived around an hour and a half before closing time and were quickly seated by friendly staff. Perhaps we had an off experience with the food, but our steaks were just not good. The meat on this occasion was low quality and tough (for both the medium and medium rare orders). The fries were excellent, the service great, and it was well-priced. But, with so many options nearby, it didn’t meet expectations. Maybe other menu items would have been better?

We walked in to see if they had space for two as we were refused at 3 other restaurants. The Host Phillips welcomed us right in and made us feel like at home. We sat at the bar and were served by Phillipe the bartender during our dinner. The ambiance and food was great! Drinks were good. All around an awesome experience and would go back anytime. Worth your time

The ambiance is very good, got seated by the window which my wife appreciated. The pasta was delicious, the burger was ok, they don’t do medium rear, all burgers are served well done. The crème brûlée was a must have.

Super small portions. One burger was very rare. Pasta portions were less than 1/3 of the plate. Found a bone in the pasta with Duck. Half a rack of ribs was 4 bones. Not worth the money when there are so many other restaurants to visit. The staff were really nice though.

We had a reservation and we were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was so thorough and our waitress came by numerous times to check in on us. The food also came quickly. The bolognese was absolutely amazing. 10/10 would recommend. The duck fettuccine with mushroom was also amazing.

In general food is just OK nothing to write home about. Don't expect food to come quickly at night kitchen is understaffed when I was there. Service was decent but again understaffed. Don't order French Onion Soup, mine was not hot, bland, and only had around 3-tablespoon-worth of soup in it... It was that bad.

Service was amazing; the host, waitress and kitchen staff were amazing. Service was impeccable and extremely friendly. The food is delicious and very tasty. Their mussles are out of this world and so is their Steak.

Duck poutine is delicious and the waiter was friendly. However, it took 30 min to serve the food.

Not a large menu for brunch but the food was exceptional. Staff were friendly and served us in English. Looks like a great spot for evening drinks as well.

Nice authentic Québécois meal. Had salmon tartare and blood sausage both delicious as was the onion soup. Servers all fluent in English and patient explaining menu. Martini and beer reasonably priced. Good experience and would go again.

We had a cheese pizza and the November special beef stew. They are tasty food. But I wish they have better food presentation or nicer food containers for takeout during the covid pandemic.

Ate here three times before. Usually the food was good. This time the burger patty was not fresh ground beef but frozen store bought and over cooked, fries were not fresh fried potatoes but were obviously from the McDonald’s next door. Muscles were very fishy and half were white and rotten. Burger bun was stale and not the normal fresh made brioche. Wine was half a standard sized glass and tasted like warm rotten cheese. Horrible experience, hopefully I don’t have food poisoning. Would not ever go back, I do not recommend this restaurant. 70 dollars down the drain.

The food was so delicious and worth coming back for. The service was excellent. The portions are smaller relative to Ontario restaurants but that's why French and Quebecoise are slimmer than their Anglophone counterparts.

French onion soup with beef, poutine, horse steak and poor man's pudding. Will be back!
