If you stay here, be prepared for a bit of trek to your room! It’s a biggie! It's not in the city center, but it's okay. Just be aware parking will cost you a bit.. As a first impression, you feel it’s an expansive hotel with its sheer size - can be both a blessing and a curse! This grand scale does come with its fair share of walking, so guests who prefer to have everything within arm's reach might find this somewhat challenging. The location of the hotel is reasonable, although it doesn't exactly sit at the heart of the city's bustling hub, and because it’s elevated location, walking up and down would be a bit challenging for those who don’t have exercising on their list! The rooms were above average, not bad at all, definitely would need a little touch of freshness. The staff handled were friendly and helpful. One aspect of the hotel that truly stood out was the restaurant. The menu was diverse, the food was amazing and the views were breathtaking! Don’t forget that while parking is convenient and it’s on-site and secure, it’s is on the costly side. The good thing is that it’s so close to the Old Quebec City where the heritage and history of this city is.

I stayed here for a week while in the city for work. Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. Room is spacious and clean. Good buffet spread for breakfast but I only got the chance to try it once during the week as they open at 7. The hotel is currently going under heavy renovation. The entire driveway is blocked off so it's hard to grab a taxi, especially in the morning when no one is around. There is a Marriott and Hilton close by, which may be a better choice under the renovations are completed. I'd love to stay here again but not until the renovations are completed.

The most horrible place I've ever been to. Staff enters the room despite the do not disturb sign. No towels available. Not cleaned properly. Sent feedback to Marriott twice, they said Delta would get back to me - thay never did. Finally ended up talking to Marriott Corporate who made Delta get back to me and lied through their teeth stating they did get back to me in the past. It was some kind of manager Carole Martel. Basically a lip service to cover their a... Location is amazing, but do think very hard before coming here. Marriott clearly does not care about my feedback. As long as they get the percentage of the stay, they are fine with having their name at this dump.

While many of the reviews discuss the renovation taking place and they talk about how dated the hotel is, all of this is true, however, the hotel staff are trying very hard to still ensure everyone has a great stay. Upon our arrival the front desk staff were welcoming, funny, and did a great job ensuring everything was explained. The decor in the public areas are very dated, but that did not impact our stay. Our room was clean and nothing was in disrepair or broken. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was nice and hot. The room was slightly worn/dated but served our purpose, so we could see beautiful Quebec. In the restaurant, I have seen some reviews about the pricing, there are options here as well. You can do the hot and cold buffet for $25, but you can also do the continental cold buffet for a lower price, or the pastry and coffee for a lower price. There are a few grocery stores just 1.5 blocks away if you are looking to save more money. Thanks for a great stay.

Hotel is in dire need of maintenance. Our flooring was coming up, the shower did not drain properly and the heating system sounds like an aircraft engine. The hair dryer was cheap and didn’t work very well. Could have used an extra blanket as the duvet was very thin. The heated outdoor pool in winter was nice though.

Decent hotel for the price. Front desk service is really poor and slow. I was not pleased with the rooftop construction view from our room but the service at the front desk was so bad I didn’t even bother complaining. Parking is a tad inconvenient but workable as it has a multi ticket in and out system which works and requires a separate elevator to the lobby which is fine. The lobby is not on ground level either so you either need to take a double escalator or elevator to get to and from street level. Not a big issue but I don’t recall anyone else noting this in the reviews before. These are minor things and all went smooth while we were there but I just wanted to make note of it for others. Location is fine and the hotel is ok overall if you can get a decent price I guess.

A bit of a deception this time around. The pros: great location, room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool is very well heated (around 88-90) and we’ll maintained. The cons; first mechanical staircase was defective all week end and not cleaned once, full of dirt and mud. Short staff at reception and restaurants. Was missing amenities in the room and found it was a bit on the cheap side. Would definitely go back but I wish the hotel would have taken the time during the pandemic to give a refresh to the rooms.

The hotel lobby underwent renovation some time ago and is pretty good. There’s still construction happening outside that restricts entry to a narrow passage but that’s a minor inconvenience. Staff is polite and helpful. Location is excellent, walking distance to the Old Town.

I have stayed at this hotel before, mind you pre-Covid. It is a lovely hotel, but I have been reminded of what I found was a limitation of the Delta Quebec. There are no eating places that are close, and many of them are closed for no apparent reason (based on Google). To add to this the highly touted Bistro and bar is not open except for breakfast… we hope. Sometimes we may want to eat or drink at another time. I guess I will have to make sure I run in and have a beer with my breakfast tomorrow morning. Seriously though, a class hotel like this not able to serve its clientele during regular hours is totally out of order. Not impressed. If this is due to a staffing issue, I understand. A little sign on the board outside the Bistro stating the issue is all that is needed. Come on Delta you can do better. This is not what I, or what others expect of one of your establishments.

Pros: Location is perfect. Many of the places were within walking distance. The Bistro food was good The service was good The room had a nice view Cons: Amenities were limited (due to the pandemic) Hotel room was dated & looked dirty (couch was super stained) and the sheets didn’t fit the bed and kept exposing the mattress. Elevator was super annoying. You had to take 2 different elevators to get to the main floor.

Lovely clean rooms, with comfortable beds, breakfast was extra and very expensive however delicious. Housekeeping would only give us 3 towels at a time, we were traveling with kids and needed more. We booked with Expedia so we had free parking underground. Normally it would be an extra $25 a day. Hotel was under construction at the time, it will be beautiful when completed. They had a good system to deal with their guests even though their front entrance was under construction. Kids were disappointed the outdoor pool was shut down on the last day, they had too many chemicals in the pool and couldn’t open. However the first two days of our stay the pool was very nice, clean and super warm.

The Delta is a very nice hotel and well located. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Dufferin Terrace. 5 minutes to the Plain of Abraham. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with great views. The restaurant has good breakfast options, even for vegans.

If you're looking for a place to stay in the city center of Quebec, this hotel might just be for you. The hotel provides large and spacious rooms with stunning views, though the rooms do lack a safe. Plus, it's conveniently located near plenty of restaurants and bars - perfect for a night out on the town. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including an exercise room, sauna, heated outdoor pool, and even a business center. There's also a bar and restaurant on-site, but I'd recommend hitting the town for something a bit more authentic. One thing to note - there's no breakfast included, even for Bonvoy gold members. But with all the nearby dining options, you're sure to find something to satisfy your morning hunger pangs. Overall, this hotel offers a great location and comfortable accommodations.

Well located however everything about this hotel is very dated. Even the pavements immediately outside it are crumbling. The staff were pleasant but I would look at other options nearby until such time as this hotel has had an update.

Accommodations were nice - nothing fancy but comfortable. Service left something to be desired. Had to make multiple calls in order to have more towels brought to our room. Had room cleaned once during our stay (4 nights) and bathroom wasn't cleaned - only trash emptied and beds made. Front desk personnel were dismissive and not warm or welcoming. Location of hotel is great for a "home base" to get to many things to see & do. If you can put up with sub-par service it's worth it.

I stayed in this hotel four years ago and it was a very nice stay. This time, the whole experience was terrible. The room looked quite dirty, specifically carpet, bed cover and bathroom. I told the front desk staff about my concerns and they just sent someone to clean up briefly however, not all areas were cleaned up such as the bathroom. I paid over $300 for a night and it's definitely not worth it. The only pro is its great location. I would not recommend this hotel at all. I stayed at Pur Hotel Quebec for the rest of my visit and it was very nice and clean.

We stayed here during a trip to Quebec City. Excellent hotel located close to the Quebec City Covention Centre and Old Quebec. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. They also have a nice bistro on the third floor where we had a nice breakfast. I would return to this hotel.

The hotel is understaffed. Our room was gritty. The maids do not do your room each day or give you new towels, etc. We had to ask. It felt like a do it yourself hotel experience, and that’s not what we paid for! Also, the beds were horrid. One was so soft you would fall off the squishy edge, and the other was lumpy and hill like. The hotel seems dirty, and there were no staff working around the place. I would recommend think twice before choosing this place

This place isn’t just bad, it’s really bad. It’s motel-with-an-exterior-staircase-where-did-they-hide-the-body-bad. It’s hourly-rate-we-have-HBO-bad. It needs a gut renovation. There is no way that this is a 4-star hotel. The toilet leaked, the curtains and rug were stained, and there was a whooshing noise all day and night (sounded like an industrial fan was running overhead). Whatever you do, do not accept room 1203. The restaurant food is bad. The ONLY two positives about this place were the staff and its close proximity to the convention center and old Quebec. Avoid.

Hotel is currently being massively refurbished, but we only saw and did not hear any loud construction work. Fitness area and outdoor pool area as well as rooms and bath rooms quite dated. The outdoor pool is only open from 5 to 9 pm, but it's a nice gimmick on a cold day. Lifts and escalators are confusing. Not that well located but in front of the hotel all major bus lines can take you anywhere in Quebec. At reception, one receives a strange water aroma pod to flavour the water bottles in the room - not necessary. The breakfast is a la carte and quite expensive for the quality. The lobby area is not very welcoming to sit and relax with few spaces available. Staff is nice and do their best, but some seemed quite new to the job.

Hotel is nice and old in the city center of Quebec. We don’t like that they’ve done construction going on in the building when we stay here but it didn’t bother us so far. Good high-raise building hotel. We stayed on top of the floors and we enjoyed the view from room.

Top-notch location for boarding when you're visiting for a conference. Their rates fall within the US Gov. per-diem lodging rates. Great, clean rooms and a great view over the city and direct tunnel access to the convention center. The breakfast buffet spread is the same quality that you frequently get for free at nearly any 3-star hotel, but here it costs ~$27 CAD/person, -1 star.

Don't forget to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't regret it. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Fanny and Daniel from the front desk were genuinely wonderful, and I'm so thankful for the lady whose name I didn't catch for telling me about the fireworks show in town on Thursdays - it was a highlight of my trip. A really great stay in close proximity to everything important to me.

Great price and location right outside old Quebec. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were in good shape but the wallpaper was starting to come off in places. Only issue was that the pool was too warm for us. On a 35C day the pool was almost as hot as a hot tub so it was not refreshing. But it was very clean! Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the hotel during the last weekend of July/2023. The location is great, and we liked the hotel in overall. Our room was good, spacious and comfortable. There were a couple of errors during the cleaning services but nothing major. Example: one day they forgot to put back the bathroom mat. We used some face cloths and left them on the floor to be changed, and they weren’t. So, as I said, nothing major. There was some renovations going on in the front of the hotel and the access was not good. So, if you have any sort of disability or is travelling with babies/strollers, please check this before. Also, when you get inside, you still need to take 2 flights of escalators to get to the reception floor. I am not sure if this is a permanent thing for them or they will move downstairs once the renovations are done. There was a small Nespresso machine in the room. We paid $25/each for breakfast and it was very well served.

The hotel is undergoing renovations, which is very noticeable as well as very much needed. The room are definitely dated and in need of a refresh. The hotel is located a few blocks outside the Old city walls, on top of the hill across from the legislature buildings. Service was accommodating during our stay. The only negatives were the old rooms and lack of noise buffering. We were able to hear our neighbors a bit at night.

  • 1/5 fenix m. 7 months ago on Google
An Arab guy at the reception let us believe yesterday night that breakfast was included with the room. It wasn't. We could sleep more time instead of getting a bill of 60 dollars at the end of the one star buffet. By the way, I called the hotel before arriving. The same guy told me a price and he changed his mind two times at the reception. Western is a better option. If you are gonna visit Quebec city. Reserve before going. You'll save 50% in hotels or accommodations.

Rooms are small but staff is super friendly and helpful. One of the nicer brand hotels in downtown Ottawa. Pool and gym are fine and relatively quiet.

We paid for a room at the nearby Marriott wo months in advance. We arrive off the plane and show up at 6:30 p.m. to check in, but are told that they have sold our room to someone else. Apparently they have a policy of selling more rooms than they have, in the hope that there are some no shows, and they make more money. But you, weary traveler, will just get screwed if you show up expecting that your room that you paid for two months in advance, will be awaiting you. They transferred us to this hotel some blocks away that was under repair, that we trudged to hauling our luggage in the rain. I think they feel that somehow, by finding us another room in the city that this business practice somehow becomes acceptable. This room had an unbelievably squeaky bed in a room that smelled unpleasant, the sounds of concrete being drilled into at 7 a.m. as they worked on repairs, and no sign of any upgrades to the hotel in decades, even on areas that were clearly damaged. Avoid Marriot at all costs.

Friendly service. Convenient location to arts, culture and old city. Lobby on 3rd floor is awkward as you need two elevators or 2 escalators and 1 elevator. Restaurant is great for kids but limited selection for adults. Spacious, efficient room.

  • 4/5 H 2 years ago on Google
Dated but nice. Rooms have a nice view and location is central. Steps away from food, shopping and entertainment. Carpet in the room s needs to go. Most Marriott have made the switch to hardwood floors. All in all pleasant experience.

Large room with comfortable beds. Hotel had a dated look not worth $250 a night. No microwave in room, guest need to request for microwave as they only have 5 available. Unfortunately we arrived just as cleaning staff went on strike.

Despite the ongoing renovations, my stay here was more than acceptable. I’ve never had a better shower in my 52 years of life! The pressure of the rain shower and handheld shower head was nothing less than amazing. I even went to reception to ask what the secret was haha! The cleaning staff went above and beyond. My room had a fantastic view of the fall foliage below. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

The location of this hotel is perfect for walking to the walled city of Quebec. However, the hotel is going through much needed renovations and hopefully they will also renovate the rooms. Customer service at the front desk was very good as they quickly changed our room when we requested. The breakfast that was part of the tour was quite disappointing as it had a very limited selection. The servers were not very friendly

Very good clean and great location. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good on all days! Good variety to choose from although limited due to the pandemic. Generous portions. We extended our stay and got a good deal as well. We will definitely come back here. Parking is free too. Highly recommend it. We had a fantastic view and a great vacation. Quebec City is beautiful. Thank you Delta Marriott Quebec City.

Delta is the hotel I normally stay when I am in Quebec city. It is nicely located just outside old quebec city, it is only a few minutes walk to get to town. The rooms are quite generous in size and fairly tidy. Overall, service is quite good and staff are friendly and very helpful (they are always very willing to give recommendations about where to eat, or places to visit). However, the hotel is a bit dated and could definitely use a little upgrade.

Arrived late at night after leaving another hotel. The staff were amazing. She made sure we were well set up, got checked in quickly, even helped us out for breakfast. The room was clean, well stocked, and exactly what one would expect from an elite hotel. Breakfast was yummy and area was very clean and well lit. Will be the hotel we go to anytime we come to Quebec city. Worth every penny.

I’m a huge Marriott fan and do my best to stay at their locations. This time it wasn’t a completely satisfying stay. Rooms aren’t that new, they need work for sure. Air quality is terrible, super dry in this hotel. I felt like there was a lack of staff. Seems like they renovated parts of the lobby, hopefully they extend the work to the rest of the hotel, it’s in a great location!

The hotel is a little dated but the room was decently clean. The windows were so dirty though that you could barely see outside. The restaurant was competitively priced but the meal, a breakfast, was just okay. The pool is outside but you can enter from inside and swim out. Parking underground was convenient. If you are attending meetings in the Congress Center next door you can do so without going outside. The best feature is the hotel location. You are just a short walk to the Citadel, Plains of Abraham, old Quebec, the St. Lawrence River, etc. Tons of excellent restaurants, shops, sights, all within a short walking distance.

It's a big, modern hotel, located close to the downtown. The parking lot is underground. There're 4 stalls for electric vehicles at Level A. The pool is heated and is closing at 21:00. To get from the garage to the room is a 2 steps trip (the elevators are going from garage to the 3rd floor where the reception is, then different elevators are going from 3rd floor up). The room was big, clean, no funny smells. We were 4 people, but got only 3 big towels. The beds were truly queen size. I didn't like the mattresses and pillows, they were hard (I know it's a hotel, but Best Western nailed this aspect).

Outdated. Needs a total overhaul. I wish we had chosen the Hilton next door. Peeling wallpaper everywhere, bathroom mirror peeling on edges. Dirty OLD musty carpet rippling everywhere. Installing laminate floors would make a massive difference in the cleanliness and feel of the place. Hotel does not offer rollaway cots which is a challenge for families. The gym is so outdated it’s actually embarrassing. Windows extremely dirty. Pool so cloudy you can’t see the bottom. Parking is $25 a day Pros: Beds were very clean. Front desk staff was polite and welcoming. Elevators very fast. Excellent location VERY close to the old city. Overall: very, very outdated. Would not stay here again or recommend.

There were a lot of tiny areas that could do with some cosmetic touch-up but not enough to lower the feeling of the place. I probably only noticed because I'm doing home Reno's myself. Staff were fantastic and it's a 5 minute walk to any food you want. Great spot.

Good hotel, very convenient location close to parliament, the Tourny fountain and other spots of interest. Hotel rooms are a bit old and needed renovation for the price they are charging. Great front desk staff! However had a bad experience from one of the housekeeping staff who was rude because we spoke in English. You don't need language to behave nicely!!

Rooms could use a refresher. My room had stains on carpet, shower head was at an odd angle and hard to use, bed was uncomfortable. Some staff were pleasant and some definitely made me feel like they didn't want me there. Outdoor pool was excellent. Overall was a bit disappointed.

Very dirty hotel. When we got our room the pillows had small hair on them and the toilet seat had hair as well. I called front desk and they sent housekeeping to change sheets. Then the fitted sheet had a rip in it. The food at restaurant was mediocre. Only good thing is the location.

Absolutely shocked at the condition of this hotel. I state back in 2017 they offered club lounge at the time a restaurant and lobby bar. Now the hotel is extremely distasteful no sights of employees no club lounge no area to get a coffee. Rooms have seen better days. Not the delta experience I like. Bed was comfy. Just felt extremely dated will not choose this property again.

Nice hotel but outdated quite a bit. The staff have been very friendly and the rooms are spacious. They also have Netflix on their TV's, which came in handy during a very rainy day. The rates are good and they have indoor as well as outdoor parking.

Definitely a good location to explore the city. The hotel was undergoing major renovations which made it look very messy which is understandable. It's an older hotel heavy on the brutalism architecture (bunker vibes). Parking is about 25$ a night which for two nights adds up. Always enjoyed delta hotels however in this case I wish we had booked another hotel in the city.
