We have been coming to the Laurier for many years and have always enjoyed it. We don't even consider staying at another hotel. It's a great location, rooms are amazing, staff very professional. Feels like the second best hotel in the city.

The room was good a little old but beautiful. The service was amazing the front desk was always helpful and smiling. My mother asked so many questions and her particular favourite Marc- Antoine was always there for us. He knew her name and always greeted us with a smile. He was so diligent and knowledgeable not to mention super friendly. He deserves a raise, he is what service should always be like. The location is amazing and well situated to old Quebec and various food options.

Courteous and efficient staff. Everything is clean and tidied up. This hotel is close to many tourist attractions. Put on some comfy shoes and walk around old Quebec as much as you want. You also have a lot of restaurants to choose from. They seem to make their own pepperoni and other dry sausages, however I didn't have the chance to taste any of them. As a local let me know how they taste :) 100% recommended for business, tourists, casually or just to take a break from everything.

I cannot recommend this hotel. Despite the nice room and location, the customer service is unbelievably bad for a 4* hotel. The hotel booked the price for our stay 4 times from my credit card, which resulted to maxing it. For more then 3 weeks I am trying to get my money back, but no efforts from the hotel at all. No understanding even from the manager, no customer focus at all. Bad experience!

We stayed on August 31st after booking more than 5 months in advance which you would think might give you a better rate. This was not the case at all, in fact it was the opposite. Just a day before we could have booked the same room for over $100 less!!. We were told at check in that in order to have a rate change on the room we had booked we should have called 24 hours before. We did but the hotel did not answer and when we eventually got through the voicemail box was full so we couldn't leave a message. So upon checking in the service was horrible, we were told that nothing could be done, the rate was "locked in". Locked in, you run the hotel, it was booked directly with you not via a third party booking site. Nothing was done for us at all, no room upgrade, no let us include breakfast, just sorry it's locked we won't do anything for you. Absolutely zero customer service was given to us, so disappointing that it left us speechless standing at the desk wondering if the person actually knew what customer service was. Although clean the room was small, dark, and not appealing in the least. Nothing about this place would make us come back or recommend it to friends or family. It's not a family business as they say they are, it's a business that doesn't care.

Perfect hotel for a little getaway to QC City We had the car parked and walked the whole time we were there The rooms were very clean, perfect for couples, the Staff was so friendly, kind and professional We had a nice view of the city So many restaurants near by and near touristic areas Definitely a good hotel recommendation. You won't regret it

Rooms was very claustrophobic. Unfortunately we had room overlooking the main street with many restaurants and late night activities very noisy until around 3.30am. Parking under hotel but could not use vehicle charging points unless paid for valet parking. Overall not really impressed. Although very well situated for the old town and the plains of Abrahams.

QC is a beautiful city which we enjoyed very much but the Chateau Laurier was an incredible disappointment for a "4 star" hotel. When we arrived at about 5pm there was no available bellman for our luggage. We trudged up to our room only to find it in disarray - beds unmade, trash not removed, towels on floor. We understand this can happen. Came back to front desk, sent to new room which was remarkably bland - one small painting on one wall, the rest grey and bare, no bedspread on bed, bathroom door would not close let alone lock, no glasses (just paper cups), forget about a welcoming bottle of water - instead a warning that if the provided hand sanitizer bottle was missing on our departure we'd be charged $50. There was no hand soap near the sink, only a dispenser offering hand moisturizing lotion. We had to use body gel from the shower to wash our hands. One inconveniently placed hook in the bathroom to hang our wet towels. No chambermaid service - admittedly not all that unusual these days. Had to sign what amounted to a $55 promissory note when we asked for an umbrella so that we could walk to dinner in the rain. All in all a very poor showing for what purports to be a near top-of-the-class hotel.

Amazing location, but this is not a 4 stars hotel. Room is very small and tired feels like being in a dormatory. Not sound proof hear everything in the hallway. Very disappointing; definitely do not recommend this hotel. 30 minutes wait for checked in.

The room was renovated, although you couldn't get the temperature in the bathroom higher than 21 degrees. The room also was slow to warm up. The amenities are great and the staff is really nice

Very centrally located with all the amenities you'd need and want for a family vacation. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. Lots of seating in the lobby area to relax during downtime. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful.

Great hotel to stay at, the staff is always courteous and helpful. Our room and the hotel have always been immaculate during our four visits. The location of the hotel is great for exploring Quebec City on foot. I would highly recommend staying here during a vacation.

We took advantage of a Tuango coupon, and stayed here for 2 nights. We were welcomed by a great, kind, friendly staff and offered a little cute gift upon arrival. It’s a beautifully decorated hotel situated right by Grand Allee where there are so many restaurants to walk too or a quick 10-15 min walk down to Old Quebec. Amazing amenities, valet service, an indoor pool, a great gym, a convenience store and a lovely lobby you can relax and have a glass of wine or coffee to unwind from all the walking around old Quebec. Rooms are perfectly decorated and include a great Nespresso machine and a cozy robes are provided which are great for the spa. There are 2 nice outdoor spas. Though, I personally would have liked to see some lounge chairs and maybe a fire pit to stay around with the “spa” or “relaxing music” it was very nice to spend some time there.

I stayed here a few years ago for a work conference and enjoyed my stay so much that i decided to return for leisure with some friends. Very comfortable and affordable rooms with excellent location. Staff is not overly friendly but kind nevertheless. We parked at their underground parking just around the corner from the main entrance. $25 for 24h parking is very reasonable, especially since street parking in that area can be tricky. You’re a stone’s throw away from some beautiful historical sites and within walking distance to the old town’s shops and restaurants. Just a side note -unrelated to the hotel- if you wish to go to Strom spa, please reserve ahead bc they’re always full and will refuse you or put you on a wait list that is 4 h long… Just saying.

Great hotel loved the location liked that there were lots of elevators rarely rode with someone else.

Stayed here during Rendezvous Canada. A perfect spot, close to the convention centre and close to all the other attractions for off-work hours. Room was perfect size, complete with a full desk to get some work done when not out and about. We were on the fourth floor and I seemed to never hear a peep from anywhere - in the halls, above, below, beside. Slept extraordinarily well throughout the week. The main lobby has some sort of delightful scent that washes over you upon entry. I wish my apartment had the same greeting for me at the end of the work day.

Perfectly located before the gates of old Montreal. Lots of restaurants nearby easy quick walk to town no more than 7 to 10 minutes. Staff were nice and accommodating rooms could’ve been better. There was no view.

There’s a lot of good things to say about this hotel: clean, modern rooms; friendly staff; reasonable rates. When there was a problem with our shower maintenance came right away and fixed it in 5 minutes. The fancy coffee machine in the lobby was fun, too The downsides are: the ATM in the lobby ripped me off (it said it dispenses $80 but only gave me $60) and the convenience store didn’t take US debit/credit cards so I needed Canadian dollars. The next ATM was 5 blocks away. I also wish there was a light breakfast option. The buffet was $25 per person. I ended up walking to the nearest grocery store (6 blocks away to get yogurts).

Made a reservation on line for a room with a queen bed and a couch(389.00$+tx). Got a call 20 minutes later to say my room had been rented to someone else so they down gradated me to a double single bed(359.00+tx) and did not offer compensation. They did offer an up grade but at the regular price of 1000$/ night to which I said no I did not have that kind of money to spend on one night. Once I got to the room which I had no choice to take since there were no rooms available in the entire city. The t.v did not work properly and the fridge was leaking, it was very noisy heard all the noise on the street. I would not recommend going here.

Love our room - it's romantic and cozy! But I'm really wish there was a dresser (we're here for 4 days and nowhere to put our clothes during our stay). Also wish there was more info about the surrounding area in the room. All staff have been amazing! Super friendly and multi- lingual. Lots of great restaurants just around the corner and the Joan of Arc Garden across the street is stunning! Hotel is within walking distance of the Citadel, and all Old Town. Be prepared to walk back uphill (lots of hills!) Or stop by the Hotel Frontenac to catch a cab back up (that's what we did!) So much to see and do nearby.

The rooms were very nice. Service was great. The breakfast buffet was just average. Less than a mile walk to Old Quebec. I would happily stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The location is perfect. We loved the valet that parked the cars. We had a discount for an electric car and they even charged it overnight. The city is very walkable and we could walk everywhere from our hotel. Loved the old luxury vibe that the hotel has. I loved their toiletries specially the soap. The service was great. Ah they have different elevators for different areas so we never had to wait. The pool was ok nice for small kids not so good for Adults. We definitely would go back 👍

Decent hotel with a good location right next to the old town. The rooms are a bit small and feel quite dated. Navigating the hotel is also quite tricky.

Hotel was good. There was a mis-hap happened. We booked a early morning message for the day we were leaving and unfortunately due to some emegency in home town we decided to leav earlier then that. So we informed this to hotel, they said as its less than 24 hours it cant be cancelled, so massage will still be charged. Then in morning we lost our car key and we end up staying whole day. We asked reception that can we attend message, they said "no message but still be charged". That just ridiculous.

Accessible room and bathroom by wheelchair. BUT the shower was not well thought: at onecend the bench that is too narrow and bolted to the floor. Next to it the water shower head a bit too high, than 3 soap dispensers a bit too high also. Completely at the other end of the shower the water mitigator to start and stop the water, and control the temperature of the water. Impossible to start the mitigator while sitting on the bench ... without help. Cannot travel alone. You understand that I should not get my wheelchair wet. There should be a good size carpet in the room, around the bed. The shower surrounded by glass is only half close, so even taking a shower at one end on the bench, there will always be water splash in the bathroom.

Smooth check-in and out, very friendly staff. Love that they have various elevators for different sides, you never have to wait longer for the elevator. Conveniently located near Grande allee, with lots of amazing restaurants, about 5-10 mins walk from downtown. Perfect place if you want a place closer to downtown but also want to stay somewhere quiet from the downtown hush hush

Long check in. The guy was taking all the time in the world to explain everything to everyone checking in. Nice and clean hotel.

They need to add diverse gluten free options in their menu and include some seafood options. The staff is very hospitable and they accommodated my request for early check in as well. Location is in the heart of the city.

One would expect a bit more from a "4-star" hotel, for over 1000 canadian dollars for only 3 nights. No room service at all, no daily room cleaning, no change of towels/bedsheet daily. Only if extra required. In a "4-star" hotel.... one would expect that in this highly overvalued price is that at least the breakfast is included...but it's not. Not to mention, sauna was out of order and the rest should have not as wellness/spa named....Far the worst prize value ratio. I definitely don't recommend it. If I could, I would request a total refund!

Good rooms, convenient. Really had customer service Night clerk at the front desk doesn't give a hoot about wake up calls or information asked or even saying hello. Worst customer service ever encounter in over 40 years as a high class hotel customer.

Was very surprised that there was no small fridge in the room. With the restaurants being closed it would have been nice to keep fresh fruits and drinks. Otherwise, very helpful staff and very clean room. Small but cozy.

Very poor quality for the price, total $400.00 for a queen bed room that was the size of a hostel. No decor, black mold and water spots on bathroom ceiling. Room by the elevator, noise all night. TV sporadically worked. Reservation agent forgot to activate our keys. We stay in 4+ star hotels, this is definitely not one.

  • 2/5 J C. 1 year ago on Google
This shouldn't be a 4-star hotel. It seems like we got the newly renovated wing but the room is so tiny that there's almost no space for your luggage, even with only a double bed and very basic furniture. It looks nothing like the photos shown. The indoor pool is decent. Wi-Fi is unstable. No housekeeping at all even if you request for it. They will only give you extra towels.

Hotel is great,. The toilette kept getting stuck. They were quick to send someone up to fix the issue. Great staff, very friendly. Their valet parking was also great. The room was very clean. The only thing is that it took a long time to check in. Took about 45 minutes to check in around 5pm. But like I said, the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful.

It was my second time staying here, and I don't think I would stay anywhere else when in Quebec City. It's clean and comfortable, and in a great location. However, the complimentary shampoo and conditioner were horrendous. I'm not sure if they were watered down, or old, or just a terrible brand, but definitely bring your own! Other than that, it was an excellent stay!

  • 3/5 Simon F. 1 year ago on Google
The service was excellent. The rooms were dated, and we had some noise in the room from outside air venting. The pool facilities were a bit dirty, which was a shame. The breakfast was fine, but nothing special. Overall a decent hotel, but not worth a second stay for me. Everything is just getting too dated, especialy at this pricepoint. You can find better hotels on this area.

Stayed for 1 night only. Room is great, all you need. Front desk slow and seem to be internships workers, they don't explain you the amenities, the servicies, nothing. You have to ask everything. Pool is fairly small and when I went crowded with kids, so if you want to relax dont go there.

  • 5/5 Manthan M. 2 years ago on Google
We went there during protests of truckers. Since it is located in the downtown we had difficulty in reaching to the hotel as many roads were blocked. Besides this we had great experience in the hotel. They have outdoor jacuzzi which was a great experience in winter months. Overall we had a great experience while we stayed there. The staff were quite helpful for any information we needed during out stay.

  • 2/5 olivier p. 2 years ago on Google
I want to be clear that the hotel staff were great and that this is based on the experience but mainly about the hotel itself. Quality/price: we got a room with a king sized bed and a view of the hotel's courtyard. The price was way out of proportion for the room. View was not great, bathroom was the smallest I've seen in a hotel. Shower couldn't be accessed unless you bathroom door is closed and if your partner opens the door, you'll be trapped in the shower. Room had stain on the wall. Wallpaper peeling in places. Coffee in the room was nothing special. Parking was 30$ a night... Breakfast was about the same per person. Experience: Given Covid restrictions, you have to reserve the hot tub which is always booked. And the only way to reserve is with front desk (no app or website). The location of the hotel was fantastic. Next to old Quebec and the "Plaines d'Abraham" park and right next to grande allée where amazing restaurants can be found. Overall I regret picking this particular hotel. We wanted a little more luxury and thought by paying more we'd get that. We simply didn't.

  • 4/5 Jenna h. 2 years ago on Google
Overall alright experience, except got overcharged for parking even though I left before the time limit. Staff were friendly, however some were not wearing masks when behind the plastic shield and continued to speak close to the hole to communicate. For the price it was good location for food, and short walk to multiple parks and historical sites.

  • 5/5 Serge S. 2 years ago on Google
Great location. Closed to the old Quebec. Right in front of the Carnaval (which is why we went). Great walking in the Plaines d'Abraham right in front. Walking distance to many attractions. Room was clean and quiet. Not our first visit and won't be the last. We had trouble getting coffee in the morning (machine in the lobby was broken) but there is a Subway a minute away that serves breakfast.
