Lucky lay 1hr hotel! When we checked in late in the evening after an 12 hour drive, we noticed questionable “ladies” seated along with Russian speaking men who looked like thugs who acted like or may have been pimps. We paid a premium price for a room. When we went inside we were surprised. There were used and torn towels, dirty pillow cases, body hair on the bed sheets, a film of dust on everything, makeup power on the carpet, used food wraps and dirty glasses on the counter, unflushed toilet. See the lovely pics below. When we complained to the front desk, the lady said the room was “clean enough”. When we complained to the “owner/manager” the next day, his response was beyond arrogant. Now if this doesn’t deter you, then perhaps the next word will: BEDBUGS! Advice: go anywhere else! This isn’t the right sort of place for couples or families. It belongs at an airport strip.

Absolutely LOVE the Hotel Saint-Anne. The rooms are a mix of old and new which creates a fun atmosphere. The receptionists have been incredibly helpful, are very kind and have gone out of their way to ensure our stay was the best. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Beautiful, charming, rustic hotel! You can't beat the location. We had the Superior room with street view. Gorgeous room plus the shower was fabulous. Drinks at the bar and dinner in the dining room were all delicious. Very friendly staff. This hotel was PERFECT for us!

This hotel is all about location location location. Located in the heart of the the main tourist area, it has easy access to all the boutique stores and charming restaurants. It also has a great restaurant Mur Mur located on the ground floor. The building is historic, however, renovated from inside. Our room was on 3rd floor facing internal atrium with no outside views. Our room which had double queen beds was decent size but not spacious (I guess the European feeling), however, it needed some minor repairs (hence 4 stars not 5)

Stay in suite 404. We had a regular room two nights and the suite 404 for 4 nights. Great location, restaurant was closed. A kettle would be nice as would bottled water, but there was a Nespresso machine in the suite. A microwave would also be handy for a long stay. Views of trees and Frontenac Hotel were very nice from the top floor. Very quiet hotel, barely heard another guest. Comfortable beds, although another blanket or throw would have been nice, or an extra pillow.

Location, location, location. Wow, this is a fantastic and affordable place to stay on a great, fun street right in the middle of all the attractions. If you get a double queen room, ask for the top floor as the windows face the atrium and the light comes in from the top of the atrium so the room will be bright. This hotel is literally steps from the hotel Frontenac and every other place you'll want to visit. Bring rolling bags and park about 100 yards away at the hotel de ville. Can't say enough good things. Wish there were a few more hangars in the closet but if that's the worst thing I can think of, this is a great choice for a vacation spot. Be ready to walk up and down a lot of hills in Quebec City :)

You can’t beat the location of this hotel! Steps from everything you’d want to see in Quebec City. It’s best to park underground at city hall, which is about a block away, but that’s really the only downside. Bring suitcases with wheels and you’ll be fine. The restaurant downstairs is also great. My wife had the best crème brûlée of her life there. What more could you ask for?

Great location for holiday events! We really enjoyed our stay, the video doesn't do the room justice. We loved the reclaimed brick in our room, the view was lovely, the bathrom was very modern, and the bar downstairs had a great aesthetic. We would absolutely return again. The only thing I'd say we didn't like was that it was a little hard to control the water temperature in the shower, the teensiest move in either direction resulted in freezing cold or scorching hot.

The boutique hotel was in a perfect location. Very central to all landmarks and surrounded by wonderful restaurants. We stayed 4 nights and will definitely stay here again. The room was lovely and so quiet.

Great little hotel. Bathrooms could use a bit more attention. Maybe touch up some of the furniture in the rooms or change it. But i would stay there again.

This hotel was in a great location, we had a view of the Frontenac and enjoyed being walking distance (10 min max) from most things. The hotel beds were very firm, some may not like this. The room and bathroom were a bit dirty. I would recommend if you’re looking for a budget hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Went for the German christmas markets. This location is perfect as you are right in the heart of everything. I will definitely stay here again. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located at a perfect location just steps away from Chateau Frontenac, restaurants, bars and shops. The hospitality was great. Loved the room, nicely decorated, comfortable beds and clean. The 2 negatives were no Kuerig machine in the room as advertised, and no microwave which would have been very handy. All of us missed our coffee, not sure who would want an espresso in the morning? :( Great value for price. Overall we were happy! We would stay there again if they provided a microwave and some sort of coffee machine.

The hotel is clean and is relatively spacious. I found the service for daily items to be quite good and they are comfortable in English and French. That said, I find their policies around cancellation to be somewhat unfortunate. We were staying there this past Christmas (2022) which was characterised by the massive storms. We were in Québec picking up family arriving from New Zealand. As their flights ended up being delayed, we were unable to rebook the same number of nights but pushing them back. As a result, we were forced to add dates. It was not a particularly pleasant experience. When all was said and done, I had chatted with other hotels nearby and they indicated to me that as long as the room cancellation was due to flight disruptions, there was no charge to modify a reservation. It made for an unnecessarily expensive and stressful Christmas experience. I would certainly go back as the location is excellent, they have a great deal with the café next door for reduced breakfasts, and they were generally helpful and friendly.

One of our favorite hotels in Old Quebec. Clean updated rooms and close to everything, including great restaurants, municipal parking, and the lower shopping district. If you want to walk Old Quebec - this is the centrally located place to do it from.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Hotele Sainte Anne! It’s location could not have been better. Everything is within walking distance in Old Quebec. The staff was warm and welcoming, very very friendly as well. We were in a Superior room that was modern and comfortable with a window to the street below. The bathroom had it own heater (very much appreciated by this warm blooded Floridian) with all the amenities. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

Great place to stay in Quebec City. Location is perfect, walkable to everything and a beautiful street. The room was lovely with rustic touches, comfortable bed and a gorgeous modern bathroom. There was AC and temperature control. The room also had a mini fridge which was handy.

Location is great, bed is comfy. I asked if I could see the room before booking and because of covid couldn't. I was suppose to get a garden view room. I am staring at a brick wall. It is inconvenient to change hotels today because our car is parked so far away. Am booked here tonight and will be returning to PQ city but will not stay here.

Visited here with my family tofay for a lunch, 1 toddler and 1 infant....the lady at front mentioned they don't have any seat available for another 1 hour+, which we found weird since I could clearly see free spaces...I stood 5 seconds to the side out of her sight and I noticed immediately, same greeting lady allowed 4 couples to go ahead and sit, when confronted and asked for a manager, the manager was even more rude than her and extremely hostile, so hostile that while I had my baby in my hands he touched me to force me exit while I was trying to get a reasoning for their bad attitude, when asked who would be the owner, their staff laughed and said ooo the owner is worse ! ....what a terrible service and staff....him touching me without permisson, even consistitutes for harassment.....

My wife and I stopped in for a drink on Aug 2 in the busy evening. William the bartender was phenomenal. While maintaining the utmost professionalism he made us feel like we were in our own home . Meeting him topped off our wonderful day in old Quebec City. Thank you William

Great location. Just a short walk to the funicular and Fairmont. Rooms were nice and clean. Not a fancy hotel. But when in Quebec you need hotel just for sleeping. Rest of the time you are outside the hotel. So this is good value for money

If your goal is walking your of Old Quebec City this is Majorly convenient location to take a cab to (no parking), very easy to come back to anytime during the day for rest and refresh. Very nice room even on 2nd floor right by elevator we were not really disturbed. Bonus is many restaurants right at the doorsteps and a convenience store a few doors over to grab a bottle of wine for the evening in the room. Especially like ‘real’ ceramic cups for morning coffee and wine glasses for the evening already in the room. Filling coffee machine reservoir can be done by filling glass from bathroom, easy on the water tap though as glass will splash out (user error on my part 😊).

My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible. The first night we ate at the restaurant and the food was awful, further more on the website it clearly states you get a discount at the restaurant if you’re a guest at the hotel. The restaurant would not honour that and the hostess had a huge attitude problem. The rooms were disgusting and dusty. The washrooms were the worst and so grimy, we didn’t even want to stand in the shower with bare feet. There was hardly ever anyone at the front desk to help with anything. The only good thing I can actually say is the location is great.

Cute hotel overall, very nice staff. Not all the rooms are the same though, ours was very small. The TV was parallel to the bed and you can't watch TV in bed or at all unless you're standing. The sink and faucet are so low that you cannot fill a bottle of water. There's no water in the room so you have to purchase bottle as you go. If I were to come back given the excellent location, I would make sure to request the right room.

Very nice place to stay at. It’s very well located and convenient to move within the city. The people that work there are very nice and welcoming. The room was incredible and very clean. I definitely recommend you to stay at this hotel.

Great location, short walking distance to everything. Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly helpful staff. Would gladly stay here again. When checking in, there are a couple 10-minute free parking spots nearby that you might get lucky enough to use. Otherwise, park in the underground lot at city hall and then carry your bags two blocks to the hotel.

Very clean, comfortable and nice decor. In an excellent area of Old Québec City on a lovely pedestrian cobblestone street. Under ground parking very close by. Highly recommend and plan to stay again.

The room we got was small but quaint as is typical with boutique hotels. However, its location makes up for this: it is practically a stone's throw away from the beautiful Chateau Frontenac/Fairmont Hotel. There are also a lot of quaint shops and retaurants around it that will give you that old world vibe.

We were unfortunately unable to stay with Hôtel Sainte-Anne due to international Covid travel restrictions. Very impressed with the hotels ability to facilitate a refund even though we booked through a third party website, especially Emilie Couture and her team taking the time to figure this non standard refund out. Looking forward to rebooking for 2022

Right in the centre of old Quebec, walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Super clean and staff are very helpful and polite. Bed is super comfortable. In a historic building.

This hotel should be closed down until they learn to properly clean their rooms especially during Covid times. We got our room and they did not empty and clean the fridge from the previous guest. The toilet paper was clearly not changed either and used by previous guests. After taking a shower, and drying I realized the towel had a booger attached to it, relatively fresh too and stuck onto the towel. After complaining, they changed our room, which on first view looked better. After we realized the mouthwash they provided us had a broken seal and clearly used. During covid times cleanliness should should TOP priority, not an afterthought... God forbid we contract the virus because of this. On top of that service is very poor. They called us at 7:15pm saying the reception closes at 8pm and asking when we will arrive. What hotel closes their reception at 8pm?! And only reopens at 10am. What if we need something. The manager when we complained about the cleanliness said either we get can refunded and leave or change rooms and live with it, but we don't have another 150$ to buy a last minute hotel. They could have at least provided a partial refund or a meal at the restaurant. Do not recommend for anyone and won't ever be staying here again.
