Walking into the dimly lit lobby of this hotel, reminded me of horror movies and the entire lobby had a really strange smell. There are cabinets carelessly placed (one had a step ladder on it), like letting any visitor know the hotel has no cafe/food to offer. The carpet in the corridors were dirty and there were many spots with paint spills. The supposedly newly “renovated” room came with old bathroom fixtures, half used toiletries with hair on one of them, no nonslip mat for the bathtub, very dirty iron (covered in renovation dirt), duvet without a cover, really old thermostat to control a really old ac/heater, a strange uncovered hole near the ceiling and a smoke detector that was painted over. Yet other strange “renovation” made include super-bright daylight bulbs in all the lamps (blinding when 2 out of 4 were switched on), a 55” (absolutely no sense in a small room) TV with a crack on its base. Will not return to this place.

Very bad service and no on-site services. The staff wasn't compliant with trying to help in any way what so ever and acted like we were bothering them. I had to beg to get 2 extra towels and they didn't make the room the next morning even if we put the placard on the door handle to make it. The room itself was suppose to be recently remodeled but it turned out that it had bad lighting and there was a screw coming through the flooring. Also, the parking lot wasn't plowed the entire weekend.

Hotel Repotel Henri IV offers a satisfactory stay with its 3-star accommodations. The rooms are clean and adequately furnished, providing a comfortable setting for a short stay. The staff is courteous, and the hotel's location is convenient for exploring the surrounding area. While it may lack some luxurious amenities, it caters to the essentials and is reasonably priced for a budget-friendly option. Overall, a decent choice for those seeking a no-frills stay. THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW

It was a convenient location - off the highway and a quick drive to the city and other attractions. The rooms look like they were recently renovated. The bed was a little hard but I didn't mind it too much. The bathtub took forever to drain and you would be taking a shower in water past your ankles. Because of it, the shower curtain smelled sour. My mom had a separate room that did not have that issue so I just used her shower. I didn't bother mentioning it to the front desk until we left since we were only there for a short stay. For what you pay, it is a good deal if you're looking for a no frills place.

We booked this hotel for our trip to Quebec City. We made the booking through Expedia and the front desk guys looked completely blank. After 10-15 minutes of waiting, we were told that the lock for one of the rooms is not working. Since it was late at night, we accepted the room. Later we found that the AC was also messed up and it sounded like a drill machine working. We couldn't sleep the entire night and hence a terrible headache the next day. Also, the bathrooms are not cleaned properly. Never visiting this hotel again!

The problem that was resolved: The bill they gave us at the end had higher nightly room rates than the receipt they gave us when we checked in. When we pointed out the error, the person at the front desk claimed it was just taxes. When we showed that it wasn’t just taxes (and it was a higher room rate than what we agreed to), they said “call the manager”, who was not on the premises when we checked out. So we had to call the hotel after our trip to get it sorted out. The hotel was fine besides this issue—not stellar, but certainly good enough.

Pros: The hotel has gone through renovations recently; the rooms, lobby, etc. But, it's not completed; for example, they haven't received their ice machine yet. The new rooms are clean and well-organized. Clean white sheets were a relief. Bathroom is clean, too. There are good quality towels, clothes and bathroom mats available in the bathroom. You can also ask for more towels if you need. Coffee Machine, coffee pods and coffee mate is also available in the room. It has good access to highway either you're driving to Montreal or visiting Quebec City. Although it's very close to highway, you don't hear much highway noise as long as you keep the windows closed. There's also a Tim Hortons and Eggsquis beside the hotel which you can get your coffee or have breakfast. Cons: Not all the staff are speaking English; 2 of the staff we talked to during our stay were bilingual, but the lady that did our check-out was francophone. And she couldn't communicate well with us. There's no room service if you stay more than 1 night; so, the room can get dirty during your stay. But, they still provide extra towels upon request. The AC in our room wasn't working on the first night, so we had to keep the door open and the highway noise was so disturbing. On the second day, we asked one of the staff to check the AC and he was able to fix it.

Please do not go to this hotel! my total came to 496.28 for 3 nights and upon checking out I noticed that I was charged 732.40. When inquiring about the added charge the lady at the front desk had no idea why I was charged extra. Said it wasn’t a damage deposit that I would be refunded later and denied to tell me what exactly I was being charged for. I contacted Expedia where they said that the hotel admitted it was a system error, however refused to refund me. It has now been well over 2 weeks and every time I contact them regarding a refund they tell me to call back another day because “the manager is not working”. They literally charged extra for no reason & I have now been contacting my credit card company, as Expedia cannot get ahold of any manager either. So please do not go here, they are extremely shady & the staff are incredibly rude. To top it all off the rooms are extremely mediocre and the cleanliness is definitely a 4/10

I reserved a room here with my family, and I was the last the arrive on the trip. The rest of my family asked for us all to have rooms on the same floor. When I arrived at check-in, they did give me a room on the same floor as my family members, but my card was not opening the door 2XX. So I made a trip downstairs with all my stuff to have the card checked. When I went back to try the card again, a lady in her underwear who was clearly sleeping opened the door to let me know that the room was occupied. Imagine the embarrassing moment for a second... When I went downstairs to let the employees know about the situation, they asked if that was really my room to which I answered "you just gave me that card with the room number on it and told me that I was in that room for the night". The guy clerk said well I didn't write this number... it was certainly not me!? The girl clerk who cheked me in asked for my name and said to her colleague "she's in room 1XX" without even looking at me or apologizing. I just drove 8 hours to make it here, have a nice evening with my family and it really ruined the mood... It goes without saying that I will never set foot in this hotel, ever again. Luckily i'm only here for a night because I would defenitely ask for a refund and leave at once. Needless to say I feel really bad for waking these people up! Update: the bathroom doorknob is broken, the room is freezing, and the bed is hard as rock. Honestly for 170$ a night talk about disappointment!

One of the worst hotels ever. If I could I would give a 0 star rating. The staff was atrocious and hotel itself was dirty. My air conditioner wasn’t working and the manager refused to help us. He simply said he can’t do anything about it . He basically asked me to deal with it. When I asked the manager to refund my money so I can go somewhere else, he refused and threw the receipt on my face. Finally after quite a debate and me threatening to call the cops, he refunded my money. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Please do not go. Do not even think about this hotel. Not recommended

Terrible service from the administrative staff, I have been waiting for more than 10 days for them to return a deposit for the night I stayed there, it was 200 dollars. Now every time I call on the phone to ask why they haven't returned my money, they just say that they never ask for deposits and that it's not their problem, it's the bank's problem

I have to preface the rest of this review by mentioning that this was by far the most economical option I was looking to book for this evening and we felt comfortable and safe during our stay. The facilities look to have been renovated rather quickly and on a budget. The facilities were a little austere and simple but did contain everything we needed during our stay. The comforter was just two flat sheets with a duvet in between and the bedsheet was also just a flat sheet folded over the mattress. This meant that with how much I was moving around during the night on the firm mattress I wound up on the mattress with the duvet without any sheets to be seen until morning. The air conditioner was partially disassembled and we had to call the front desk to come and try to fix it. We were told it was only cosmetic and was working fine. I am all for trying to be efficient in turning over the room but this was a bit too far for me. I would not recommend this location unless your budget does not allow you to pick a superior option.

The room was really bright and was not clean. The towels had hair on them and were torn. There were no blinds or soundproofing so we had to sleep in a bright and noisy room. There was aslo no shower curtains installed and the receptionist informed us that none were available. I don't recommend this place because they are not worth the premium they charge. The receptionist did not have any authority to do anything about the issue and there was no decision makers available during our stay. I know this point could be considered as knit picking, but there is no dental kit available in this 3 star hotel. We had grab some from a nearby gas station. Hopes this review helps people who were considering this place. We are being forced to stay in this room for another day since the receptionist was unable to process a refund since they didn't have the authority or provide a better room, just so we can meet with the manager tomorrow. I'll post further reivews based on what happens tomorrow.

Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This website will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't regret it. The room was comfortable and with plenty of space. The hotel was also relatively close to points of interest. The staff was friendly and spoke English. They did not have an ironing board in the rooms and no washing room for clothes for guests.

The place is clean, nit expensive and the location is good. There are not many amenities inside. But you have bars and stores nearby. About 20 minutes to the old town. There are plenty of free parking spots.

Not a great place. The room curtains in the ground floor are almost transparent. This hampered my privacy. The staff was not co-operative. I didn't like the experience.

This hotel appeared old! The washroom, even older, however, the staff members are lovely. It is in a good location, right off the highway, close to food, gas station.

My husband and me thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room exceeded our expectations; it was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The experience was worth the price, and we left happier than anticipated. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay!

The place is nice and well located and clean and newly renovated. BUT the middle east man that was over the phone when i called him while he was with expedia over the phone. I say yes i am the customer with the expedia double billing issue. He started to scream at me abd told me he don’t care of me many times during the conversation and i told him i have been there for a week. He said he don’t care cuz other peoples was there for few months. And he said so many things. I tried send the voice recording to the owner and she never calked me back since more than a week. And i am convince the guy who receive the message at Repotel Duplessis never forwarded the message. Also the lady manager there she create many problems of communication between me and the other staff of front desk and house keeping. She do things and behave in front of me and don’t say anything and leave. Even young guy did not know what to do. He thought i was checking out next day. Thats why i decided use expedia to extend my stay.. one morning the housekeeping lady opened my door without to knock and i was on my bed and etcetc. There is management isdue for sure. Not going back there to get lied and insulted by this middle east man. He said he gonna black list me and he hang off line on me. Because i forgot to say goid morning to him! I am nit working for him. I am the customer who can choose to spend my money somewhere else. His salary his paid from income from sales which is me the customer. Did tou get it? I saw him. He said not him

Nice and clean bedroom, bathroom was not as expected. Funny lighting, room had warm lights and bathroom had bright white lights , lol. No water in bedroom, no room service due to covid , all in all basic experience just gets the job done. AC was very traditional, very noisy.

My boyfriend and I stayed here the night of July 14. I reserved on the phone that morning with a very friendly staff member who could speak English with me. Our room was very modern looking and clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable and the bathroom very nice. The only complaint I would have is that the website advertised a free breakfast, but when we went down to the lobby there was nothing. Probably due to Covid 19, but they could have stated that on the website/over the phone. Overall it was a nice hotel and we were very pleased with our stay!

nice hotel, clean, fridge in room, staff was alright. pretty basic. however it happened twice that a stranger entered our room even if the door was shut ... no idea how they got the key to our room, really creepy if you ask me. i hope they didn't come into the room while we were asleep or gone.........

The full garbage cans on the way in had me extremely worried about what I got myself into. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was modern, the bed was comfortable, and once we figured out the settings for the air conditioner were on the wall, it worked really well. The improvements that could be made would be more pillows (only 3), more ice machines (only one was in the lobby), more elevators (only one), better coffee in the room, an ice bucket, one of the outlets didn’t work) Overall, for the price of the room, compared to other hotels, it was decent.

Location is good with lots of parking. A bunch of stores around too which is good. Actually had a messy room issue when we first checked in that was quickly sorted by the nice staff but if the hotel was more booked this would of meant we had no place to stay. Hopefully it's just a 1 time system error that isn't common.

Everything is slow. From wifi cutting off every minute to slow draining in both bathtub and sink, to the slow amount of water trickling out of the shower head... Wow. This hotel claims to be "renovated" but everything screams "old" when you walk inside. What's not shown on Google is: the dark hallways at night (with some weird guests walking around too), the fading carpets with some strange white powder (drugs?) on them in the basement area where the breakfast area supposedly is. ALSO they claim to have guest laundry, BUT THEY DON'T HAVE IT. So if you're staying long and was depending on the hotel to get it done, I'm sorry but you'll have to find somewhere else. Staff are not friendly either. They don't greet guests when walking into the lobby to check in. It's a pass (2.5) but they have a lot more renovation and cleaning to do.

So far worst experience. Came to Quebec City to enjoy the new year. The hotel snow removal damaged my car on the first night. I was without a car for the rest of my stay and when asked if the hotel will compensate me for something, they simply denied that it is not their responsibility. I am not asking for a full refund but if your snow removal destroys my car during the stay at your hotel, you should compensate for something They don’t clean their rooms even if you ask the front desk staff. Don’t bother staying at this place. Worst experience ever. Never coming back atleast to this place

Our stay was fine, but the hotel charged us TWICE for a one night stay and is claiming one of them is a preauthorization. The two charges are for different amounts. It has been a week since we stayed at the hotel and I’ve called them about 5 times for them to fix this. Martine is extremely rude and unprofessional. She put me on hold several times and at one point hung up on me. Absolutely unacceptable. Stay away from this hotel.
