it's a nice place. Large rooms with the standard amenities, attentive staff at the front desk. The inside swimming pool and the pub both look nice. The breakfast selection wasn't impressive, but the everything was clean and fresh. Pretty good bang per buck.

The good: no problem with pleasant English-speaking check-in attendant. Easy access to old Quebec. Reasonably clean and large room. No bugs. This place is not to impress your partner or family, but Good value for the dollar. Location neighbourhood appears to be middle class. The bad: nothing particularly bad. The ugly: the needed AC kept me awake all night, constantly noisy and even sounded like a helicopter outside the window. No sleep for me this night. Continental Breakfast is included so is onsite parking, which was packed last night not bad for a low priced one night stay.

The bedroom was big enough for a 4 people family and the beds were confortable. The main problem we had was caused with one of the recepcionist. He was the young man with beard and glasses. I think that to be working in job in wich you have to face the public he was someone so unfriendly. He didn't greet anyone and he spoke at you as if you should know the functioning of the hotel. Furthermore, when you asked something he anwered in a bad way. I hope they take it into account so that it can improve for other tourists.

Nothing too special. Just a quiet place to sleep for the night. We had two double beds, and it was nice that the room could be separated by French doors, giving a little privacy when needed. The front desk was extremely friendly at check in. Different person in the morning at check out wasn't as cheerful. Overall, I would book here again for a night. Just for the low price and pretty good location.

The room was clean but the bathroom was not great. The bath was cracked and the grout was brown. There was no parking space so we parked in the street and were towed+also got a fine, four of us were too. We heard the people talking in the other rooms all along and service was not the best :(

Decent rooms within the city premises. Provide basic amenities inside the rooms. Also, has a swimming pool and includes a great bar attached within the hotel Connectivity options and access to stores and gas stations around. Good quality breakfast and coffee services provided along with the accommodation.

At first impression, I was reminded of the hotel in Barton Fink. A place where traveling salesmen stop for a night, and a down on his luck writer might find a place to rest his head for cheap. In truth, it's a nice place. Large rooms with the standard amenities, attentive staff at the front desk. The pool and the pub both look nice. The breakfast selection wasn't impressive, but the everything was clean and fresh. Pretty good bang per buck.

The rooms are not that great. As mentioned other reviews, the walls are pretty thin and you can hear people talking in the adjacent rooms. However, I loved the service here, the guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

At the moment I’ve booked my room, i was precise and explained for how many people I need to book this “hotel” (it looks more like a motel). They told me the price for one night and sent me a confirmation to my email. The day of arrival, they say I will have to pay more for the extra person (however the number of the persons was the same from the beginning). I said: why do you change the price now, it you have already sent me the email confirmation with a lower price before? They said: if you don’t want to pay extra, we will not put an extra bed for the 5th person, sleep 5 people on two beds, which I found was outraging. The washing sink is actually not inside the bathroom, so there is no sink and no mirror inside the bathroom, you will have to come out for that. When my son wanted to take a shower, the water was only boiling hot, it wouldn’t turn warm or cold ever, despite the manipulations. I had to go to the reception and ask about it. The reception guy came to “teach” me how to “fix” the water so it is warm and not boiling hot, then he said “don’t touch it! Now it works!” I asked: how can we not touch it? We are four more people to take a shower today… He said: I’m alone at the reception, I can’t waste my time to come in each room and fix something…Horrible service! The breakfast is only included from Wednesday to Sunday (not when we came). The beds are comfortable and pets are accepted, this is why i didn’t give 1 star.

We booked this hotel for our return journey for one night. The room was clean and sparsely furnished- had what was needed I guess. No carpets though in the room. Everything had a very old feel and touch to it and the pictures can be misleading. The bath tub felt like it was going to crumble under my feet and there was a brown stain near the drain. The beds were not the best and felt uneven. The air conditioning was very under powered for the size and design of the room ( look at my pictures to understand). The entire hotel, stairwell and look was a very old one but clean. My son and myself slept in the room with the AC and my wife and daughter in the one across. We all felt hot at night. Another thing is that the wash basin is outside the bathroom in the living area - I'm not sure why but did not really bother me. Parking is all around the hotel and this place is well located I thought. The staff were nice and friendly and helpful. They have a bar just near the check in area if that interests you. The breakfast was a simple one and served hot - the croissants were great.Perhaps one of the best I've ever eaten. Saw another strange thing there - they had a tip box where we ate. The rate for one night was pretty high I thought for what they offer - we paid 20 dollars less in the same area ( another hotel ) on our way in.

They are the real THIEF. I had reservation aug19 and I pay cash for deposit, after two weeks I called them for not receiving the deposit they told me to come back to Hotel for getting back my money. What do you think does it worth going back to Quebec City from Montreal for getting back my money?

Old hotel. Super nice staff I enjoyed my stay with how sweet the staff are there. Hotel beds where a bit uncomfortable and room was basic but, the experience was amazing I totally recommend if your staying out there plus it’s affordable stay.

This hotel cannot be a star hotel by any means. Rooms and furniture are old, has foul odour, floor is wooden and cranky having plain and empty walls. Wi-Fi speed is pathetic, you can't even open simple web pages, forget about videos. Speed check resulted in 3mbps. AC took 2 hours to bring temperature from 26°C to 24°C and took whole night to bring it to 21. Room service did not change the sheets and did not clean or broom the room. Used cups and glasses were not replaced. Breakfast was delicious, had multiple items and people in restaurant are very good and humble. Location is close to nothing. But there is a bus stop right at the door.

The staff was nice, good location but the beds are bad. The bar is run down so great a night cap isn't a good idea.

It is a very affordable hotel where most of the requirements are existing (good swimming pool, good beds, large rooms, nice service). Its location is 10 minutes driving away from old Quebec. I highly recommend it.

Spacious rooms. Easy parking. Bus stop near hotel lets you easily catch but to the old town, which avoids parking hassles. Complimentary breakfast was terrific.

Was an amazing place to stay. Cost to have dogs were very high $40 per dog. I have 2 3lbs pups and had the $80 fee tagged on. Outside that was very happy.

Best deal in town! Somewhat tired lobby but rooms were very clean and the pool was an excellent pleasant surprise! Clean, warm and we had it all to ourselves. Nice to move and stretch after a full day of driving. The gentleman at front desk reception was friendly and kind , informative and efficient! Beds are firm- which I prefer .

The public areas of the hotel is worn but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

The rooms were okay. The bathroom sink and mirror were outside the bathroom, and the shower leaked everywhere. The breakfast was good and the pastries were nice. The WiFi was horrible, and never worked.

Quiet hotel in a decent neighborhood. Good parking for travelers with cars. Fast and frequent # 800 bus takes you straight into city, $3.75 one way cash fare of July 2022.

Stayed here for 2 days with my parents, and it was a nice stay. It’s about a 7 minute drive from Old Quebec, which was very convenient. Truthfully, you could probably walk there, which I would have done if it wasn’t so hot outside. The room had AC which was quite noisy, but it cooled the room down very fast. Because we stayed only two nights our beddings were not changed, but we got new towels on the second day. We had a room with 2 beds which was far larger than I expected. Like many of the reviews stated it isn’t the cleanest but that isn’t to say it’s dirty. It is just a well-loved hotel. I personally didn’t find the walls to be “paper thin”, and didn’t hear any of the guests staying beside me which was surprising as there were many families. The lighting is quite dim, the amenities are quite old, but it was fine for the price and location. Our stay came with a simple continental breakfast which wasn’t anything special— croissants, boiled eggs, bread and some fruits. The pool was well kept—it was shallow but not small per se. It’s quite an odd building, but I found it charming in its own way. The staff were friendly, and some at the front desk spoke English. I would stay here again, and recommend it for people looking for a place to rest their heads and don’t care about it being just a little bit run down. It’s quite close to many restaurants if you want to eat out, or have a very cheap delivery price if you’re ordering in. The only thing I would say is that it isn’t accessible for those in wheelchairs—there were no ramps or elevators that I noticed, but perhaps I had overlooked them. Just something to think about if you are travelling with a guest that requires those sorts of things. I enjoyed my time here, thanks for a peaceful stay Le Voyageur!

Very friendly staff and a great deal for its proximity to Old Quebec. The room could be a little better; lighting is not the best, furniture is a bit old and an odd placement for the sink, outside of the washroom. The pool was very clean and well maintained. I would recommend for anyone seeking a cheap stay near the city centre.

Nice and affordable place , have a great house keeping staff, as restaurants is closed in hotel but they have direct delivery to your room in case you want to oder from outside, AC sounds too much thats a negative, nice neighborhood location, lots of parking space.

Much nicer than I expected. Clean, large rooms. Refrigerator in room, microwave available. Desk staff bilingual, and very friendly and accommodating. Typical continental breakfast. Boiled eggs available only every other day. Made to order breakfast is available. I did not have a chance to use the pool. I would stay again.

Very nice hotel but a little bit disappointed with the service because we cannot speak French.

High prices for a very basic room. The bathroom is very small and the bathroom's air extractor was not working at all. The layout of the room is weird, one side is wide and there is a lot of space whilst the other one feels cramped up. The staff is also not very friendly.

Be Very CAREFUL: This is a Motel not Hotel, their online advertisement is false: HOTEL LE VOYAGEUR, but their official name on the billing transaction is: HOTEL MOTEL LE VOYAGEU QUEBEC, PQ The main building's hallway smelled disgusting. Our first room was#166, it was absolutely disgusting from the 1960s, I cannot describe the smell, absolutely disgusting, plus there is a known issue to management that when you start the AC the heater goes on, so now you have both running heater from the electrical heater running and the AC in the window is running with a message on the unit screen (change filter). The second room 145 in the other side building, was from the 1990s a bit better. One of the staff serving the breakfast had a huge attitude, I wouldn't hire her for a customer service job. The staff at the front desk were nice. Their prices are for 4 Stars hotels ($200 a night) but they are 2 stars Motel. I would not recommend this hotel at all. and I would not visit again. I don't write reviews but for this one, I want you to know what's going on before you go there. Major renovation is required, there is a health and safety issues.
