We barely spent time in the room as we explored the magical city..everything was within walking distance of the hotel. The service was wonderful! The restaurant at the hotel was excellent as well (incase you arrive late in the evening, many places close at 9pm but they were open late)

Hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. Had a suite with a view of the Frontenac and the water. In the heart of lower old town, but still very walkable to upper old town, as the furnicular is only a short walk away. Highly recommend.

Excellent hotel! The staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and close to everything. 2 problems: no parking included. Spending an extra almost $80 for parking when you are already spending $200 a night is very unpleasant and there is no breakfast included which you have to pay $24 in order to be able to have. which in my opinion you can walk pretty much anywhere nearby to get a better quality breakfast. Overall, the stay was great, but I couldn't get past these two things. The staff was absolutely amazing, I couldn't ask for more. We also noticed that the hotel needs to change their tipping system. There is a QR code to scan to tip the staff. The only problem is that you have to pay a service charge to tip. We shouldn't have to pay the hotel to tip their staff! Overall, everything is and was great, but these things were too important for us to turn a blind eye.

The hotel was really great. The staff is polite and respectful. They took time to greet me everytime I walk in and out of the building. The room was really clean and the view is awesome. I will go back for sure in the next months. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves Quebec city. The location of the hotel is amazing, juste beside the museum and really near to the Chateau Frontenac.

Spacious room with unusual but interesting and convenient design. Comfort bed. Many electrical and USB outlets. Glassed shower cabin with Italian shower is absolutely awesome. Room facilities are very neat and clean. Large windows with beautiful view. Perfect location in the heart of Old Quebec - close to everything, within walking distance. Love the little extra touches, several lounges, high end coffee machines, wine and local spirits bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Concierge recommended a wonderful place for dinner and booked a reservation for us. Pay attention that room 420 is just below the hotel gym and some exercises make a noise.

The hotel is in a great location in lower town. The room size is spacious for a group of four to unpack all the luggage. The bathroom is my favorite - very large space with products from L’Occitane that gave me a relax time. The staffs were also very helpful to accommodate our super late check-in due to flight delay. Overall, we will definitely consider to stay here when we visit Quebec City next time!

Check in and out was easy. Front staff were friendly and helpful. Jimmy gave us a recommendation for a walking tour which turned out to be one of our trip's highlights. He also recommended a place to eat on our first night that was close by and casual. The room was very nice. The shower was fantastic. I wish my shower at home was as nice!

Perfect location for exploring Quebec City old town! Rooms are spacious, rain shower is wonderful and service excellent! Don't expect to get into your room before four pm. They are very busy cleaning from prior guests...but the room will be pristine! Bed is comfy as are pillows. Robes are also comfy! If you get up on the night there are lights under your bed that come on automatically to light your way to the bathroom 💁. What a nice touch! Old Quebec City is just outside so enjoy your experience!

Loved this hotel and all the features. A lot of lounging and working areas, wifi everywhere, and self-serve wine machines. Staff was helpful and thoughtful. Location is right in the heart of Old Quebec by the port. Would want to come back.

The room fell short of expectations with cleanliness issues and a lack of a duvet cover. The air conditioner is working very loudly.Unlike my previous visit two years ago, there were no special New Year's celebration touches, such as a letter about NYE or complimentary items. Facilities have decreased, and encounters with some staff members were marred by rudeness – some not even making eye contact when asked questions. Overall, a disappointing experience compared to the positive memories from my previous stay

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 71. Location is unbeatable and the views were very nice. We have no negative comments about the comfort and convenience. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The only suggestion we would make is to consider some enhancements to the room decor - the room while comfortable and offering all conveniences - was a little stark/austere. It could use some warmth. Thank you!

Nicle and dime you. The airline lost my luggage so i needed a dental and shaving kit little did i know i would be charged $10 for that. I sayed in 100s of hotel never been charged. Also when I checked out i was over charged for my wine as well. When you pay over $350 a night you expect amenities to be free. When i asked for the kits i was never told there would be a charge. Update: I did tell the clerk about it when i checked out and he said he cant do anything about it and will let me know about the wine charges and i never herd back. So all this ruined all the good things you have.

Due to a error in the booking we had to move rooms. The last night rooms was situated next to the elevator, airco very noisy (you should check) and the shower starting dripping in the middle of the night. Cleanliness above all: please move the chairs to clean…. In the end I paid 278 euro without breakfast, as much as the superior king room… Very overpriced for what we got. The reception, more specific Sara who named herself as general manager, was very rude and not friendly at all. At least we expected a small compensation, eg glass of wine, free breakfast. Very pity since I worked myself for years in hospitality so I know how to treat people as duty manager. Not good at all, im very sorry..

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We travel four to five times a year all over the world and I can easily say this hotel exceeded our expectations. It checked best on quietness, proximity to main attractions, walkable, amazing customer service, cleanliness, and the apples!!!!! Thank you everyone for making us feel welcomed and for making our trip a memorable one.

Living in 71 for four nights. Room size is really good, also high ceiling. Hotel renovation very update. Building inside not old at all. Soundproof is good. Restaurant in hotel is delicious. Morning free breakfast is fine. 24hrs free coffee machine. And 24hrs wines machine you can buy. Wi-Fi cover inside and outside building.

Great view, clean rooms, and the rain showers are great after a long day of walking. Staff was friendly and courteous, and the attached restaurant makes a mean manicotti. The over-reliance on QR codes for guest services was a bit irritating, however, and it would be nice if a URL was printed next to it. My phone's camera lens is scratched and can't read QR codes, so it felt like I was being punished for neglecting my smartphone, and one of the codes they gave us was misprinted.

We researched many options for our first visit to Quebec. Accommodations were the primary focus. We decided to stay at Hotel 71 due to the location. What an amazing home base!! We explored Old Quebec City everyday including rainy days because Hotel 71 provides umbrellas for use by their guests. The hotel offers excellent customer support. I changed our plans twice because our daughter decided to join us. The changes required coordination that the Hotel 71 staff handled without hesitation. The location is just the beginning for Hotel 71. The building is beautiful inside and out. The decor is quite stylish and well lit. There are plenty of places to sit and relax. They have a small art gallery, books and games to enjoy. Matto is the Italian restaurant on site and we highly recommend it!! The continental breakfast is fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at Hotel 71!! We had an amazing vacation because they are everything a quality hotel should be and more!!

Service was FANTASTIC! And the hotel is well located. The only complaint I have is that they promise spectacular views, and the pictures on the website aren't representative of the view we had. I was in a suite, so I kind of expected the same view we saw on the website, but it was nowhere near that beautiful. Other than the view being a little underwhelming, the rest of my experience was good. The staff is very friendly, the service at the valet parking was very good and the hotel is well located and within walking distance of many local attractions!

This hotel has been converted from a well fortified bank, and is now a solid living environment. Our room has a clean, efficient and contemporary feel.

The front desk people are amazing. It's first time visit to Quebec City and they helped finding good local restaurants and visiting places. Hotel is very clean, high ceiling rooms and perfect showers !! Also Parking was just 2 minutes away.

The location and views were excellent and the staff were very pleasant but unfortunately there were a few issues with the room that remained unresolved. Despite notifying reception three times the room phone never worked. The water carafe in the room leaked and soaked some of our papers and bags. The bathroom sink ran slowly and once again nothing was done despite reporting the problem to reception a couple of times. The ironing board legs appeared damaged and it kept collapsing when ironing but based on the lack of action on the other problems we never reported the problem . The toilet roll holder fell off the wall but we put it back on. We've stayed at other hotels in the same area in the past and instead would go back to them during our future visits.

Warm and somewhat minimal decor. Good room layout with plenty of counter space. Located in old Quebec but close to parking. Great water pressure.

Good clean hotel, had A/C issues and was offered to move but our room was starting to improve. In the end the room did not cool down & large windows with warm sun did not allow the a/c to keep up. Like the location & room size. Great bathroom as well.

Sandie, Veronique, and Jimmy were wonderful. They helped arrange a special surprise for a milestone birthday celebration. They also have us great dining recommendations. Love the little extra touches, espresso machine, wine and alcohol bar, and full compliment of gift options. It was the perfect location for walking in old Quebec. When we come back, we will stay at Hotel 71.

Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Old Quebec. Service is friendly and efficient, from the front desk staff to the valet stand. Daily breakfast was included in our rate and was delivered to our room on time every morning. Wine vending machine in the lobby is a nice feature. We dined at Il Matto one night, and the food and service was great.

Great location in lower old Quebec and just a 4 minute walk to the Funiculaire and rue Le Petit Champlain. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Ultra modern bathroom was excellent and the bed was comfortable. All COVID protocols were applied which made us feel very safe. Il Matto restaurant which is part of the complex was exceptional. We spent our 50th Anniversary here in Quebec City and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the upper and lower historic areas.

Have stayed there twice and will keep coming back - the service is amazing, the rooms are beautiful, and there is a huge lobby/lounge area where you can have a glass of wine and relax. Best of all, pet friendly! Highly recommend.

The staff was just so helpful and truly seemed to care. We barely arrived and they already offered a place for dinner and booked a reservation for us without even asking. Room was nice and the shower was amazing. Location is perfect. I will return
