Just spent an extended weekend at the Auberge. Excellent central location in Vieux Québec. We stayed in the Marie Antoinette room and could look out at the Chateau Frontenac all lit up for the holidays. So lovely! A light breakfast was delivered outside our door each morning. The staff in the shop below took care of the auberge guests and were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay again!

Fantastic place to stay! Our room was accommodating and met all our needs. Staff was very friendly. Within walking distance of many points of interest with no need to drive once you arrive. We accidently left a piece of luggage that the front desk sent back to our home. Well Done Auberge Place d Armes, well done!!!! Cannot wait for our return visit.

We stayed in room 3 (Guillaume Couillard) which is one of the 1 bed Junior suites. It was a corner room on the second floor. We had a beautiful view of the Christmas market in the street just below as well as a view of the Chateau Frontenac. I spent a lot of time just starting out the window especially watching the snow come down. The bed was comfortable and the heated tile floor in the bathroom felt wonderful. We reserved directly through the hotel and had the breakfast each day in the onsite restaurant, Chez Jules. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Lovely historical hotel in the heart of Old Quebec. Easy walk to everything. Staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful. Nice size rooms. Excellent breakfast included. If you require parking, it is an easy 5-7 minute walk away.

Wonderful place to stay! This hotel has all the charm you can possibly imagine. Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful continental breakfasts, and in walkable distance to all the downtown sights. Don’t miss the chance to have dinner here! We stayed in a cozy suite on the 3rd floor. The only downside was the number of steps to get up to the room (38 to be exact). Even with that, we’d come back here again in a heartbeat. Love love love!

We loved this place. Perfect location, super friendly people and lots of goodies in the store. We stayed in the attic rooms, no elevator so it's a bit of a slog but we knew that in advance and it wasnt an issue.

I love the feel and atmosphere of this hotel. I love historic buildings and this felt like a little piece of the past. It's right down in the old city, a prime location. We stayed in room #14 and it was very cozy. The room was small but the atmosphere was really great. Loved the stone walls and the fireplace, as well as the plaid wool blanket. The service was fantastic and the breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was amazing. The room could have been cleaned a bit better though, and the pillows were a little uncomfortable for me (back sleeper). There is no elevator in the building, but not too many stairs so it's not too bad. The parking is only a 5 min walk from the hotel, but this can be a little rough if you have lots of bags/suitcases to bring up. They do not bring your car to the garage for you, that's on you. The breakfast is not complimentary, it is $20 per person for the voucher. You must make a reservation. The breakfast is, however, worth the $20! Bacon was so delicious, and the servers are fantastic. There was no conditioner in the shower, so thankfully I had brought my own. The toilet paper was so thin and low quality. Despite a few things, I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely return! I love visiting old Quebec city, it's so beautiful, cool, and filled with a rich history. So much to explore and so many great restaurants to sample.

We stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon and everything was absolute perfection. We arrived late and checked in at another hotel. The young lady was so kind and helpful, walked us to the hotel and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was beautiful, clean and cozy. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Want to be fooled? These people are the biggest scammers I've ever come across in the hospitality business. I reserved a specific room to take my wife out for her 40th. First time on QC city as well. I spoke to the booking lady several times to ensure the room was all good to go . Gave my credit card and reserved. After a 12hr drive getting there the gentleman in the front desk said oh sorry that room has been given to someone else? I am like how, we reserved a specific room based on your room selection? Anyhow ended up getting a small dingy room and they never even cared about it. They're very rude and out right not professional whatsoever. They're simply surviving because of the location and I think this happens quite a bit, but it's swept under the rug. If you're a person from another culture, my suggestion would be to book somewhere else. These people are not your cup of tea. Super disappointed and I assure you that I will spread the truth about this place.

Pretty , quaint little hotel . Located in the middle of everything. Make sure you check-in before 7:00 pm or you get an Email informing you to go to different Hotel or a local business to retrieve information on getting into your room. Pierre next door kindly waited for us with instructions. No compensation offered. Website states reception is open 9:00 am to 9:00pm. Not pleased after a 10 hrs drive. Only received housekeeping 1 day. Sue Grossi

This hotel is perfect!!! We were looking for something cozy and historical and it did not disappoint. We were in room 30 in the attic, super cozy, perfect for the two of us. A comfortable bed, cozy room, good bathroom. Great location, right in the heart of the Christmas markets! Friendly front desk, super helpful when it came to information, a map of the city, parking. Breakfast was also included and they had just opened their new restaurant attached to the hotel. Loved the decor of that restaurant, La Buchette I think it was called. Cozy cottage decor, and the breakfast that was included was really nice. We had 3 choices, all big portions and delicious! Included coffee/latte too. Everyone was so friendly and happy to see us. We were an 8-12 minute walk from everything and we were right across from the Chateau Frontenac was beautiful to look at and walk by daily. We will definitely be coming back here every time we come to Quebec and we can't make this a regular tradition. The only thing to note is that the hotel doesn't have an elevator (part of the old charm), so if you have trouble with stairs, maybe this isn't the best place for you. The attic where we were was about 3 flights up (we're 35). Love this place!!

What a great experience! Comfortable rooms, fabulous location, easy parking and the most helpful staff. When I asked to borrow a corkscrew they went out of their way to bring up wine glasses. Would definitely recommend!!

Great boutique hotel in the best possible location. We both loved our stay here, with the sole complaint being an inoperative a/c unit. In the summer, it would be a problem but in the fall, with big opening windows it was fine.

Clean room, friendly staff, great location for walking around the historic district. Only difficulty was bringing our luggage in, since you couldn't drive right up to the entrance!

Great location in the heart of downtown old Quebec. Rooms are a bit lacking, just a bit, but make it up with thier character and charm. Breakfast included which is never a negative.

Wonderful boutique hotel. Our room (superior) was perfect, clean and very quiet, despite being in a central location and near many restaurants. I did not hear any noise from other rooms or the street. The location is fantastic, parking was secure, and the check-in and out process was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and will stay here next time I visit Quebec City. A note about accessibility - there were stairs at the entrance to the hotel and then to the rooms. I did not check to see if there was an elevator/ramp.

Great little pet friendly 1680s hotel in Old Québec City across the square from the Frontenac. That's right, from 1680s. Very good restaurant if you can get a reservation. Very popular tourist area which can be entertaining as you sit in their Street side cafe. Gets crazy quiet after 9pm when everything shuts down.

We ended up in a suite as it was the only room available. It had a king size bed and "queen" pull out couch - it was more like a double and was not sturdy at all - the whole bed almost flipped when you sat on it. The balcony had a hot tub, which had fresh chemicals, but there was algae growing on the side and floating around in the water. The room had a very strange unpleasant smell and the air conditioning did not work. The location was very central to many Old Quebec attractions however parking only accommodated small vehicles.

I honestly can’t believe how amazing this little hotel is. We were on the top floor in the suite and this room is awesome. Comfy beds and pillows, great coffee maker and its also cool the way they decorated it. There are lots of stairs so bring your A game. We packed a little too much and the stairs were fun. Right in the heart of old Quebec City! The history, the food, the customer service, the culture are all so rich here. And this room was also priced so well. The value was second to none. Oh and the jacuzzi tub absolutely didn’t suck!

Stayed 3 nights in Marie Antoinette for a surprise trip. The Auberge is in a super quiet place, in front of the Chateau Frontenac. The bed was super comfy and we loved to pillows. We had the breakfast delivered at our door at 8 every morning and just had to go choose a coffee at the cute store at the entrance. We slept very well. The Auberge is at walking distance from the Train station (15 mn) and all the store and restaurant to discover in old Quebec. We missed the Christmas market by few days abut would have been great to experience this as well. I do recommend the Auberge 100%

One of the coolest little hotels I've ever stayed at! The Auberge is right in the center of the action, with interesting rooms that each have their own story. Some features (the restaurant breakfast for example) were limited or not available due to COVID, but that didn't stop the staff from working hard to give us the best experience possible. The incredible croissant that was delivered to our room every morning was a nice touch as well. Stay away from the big chains and the bog-standard rooms. Quebec is full of interesting boutique hotels, and this is one of the best. I don't even look elsewhere anymore; if I'm in la capitale nationale I go straight to the Auberge Place d'Armes!

Amazing amazing!! The spa room was 😍😍😍, I can't express how much we loved it! We also went into the attick for the second time and it was great! Just a bit of a hike lol but we are young so we loved it! The staff was so nice and welcoming and the free coffee is a bonus!

The location was very good, couldn't be better. Check in was very easy even though it's literally in the grocery store downstairs. The staff at the store were always super helpful and friendly. Our room faced the busy rue Sainte Anne and the Chateau Frontenac but was very quiet, we were never disturbed by the noise outside. Air conditioning was excellent and much appreciated on the crazy hot week we stayed. My only complaint was the bed was unbelievably hard and super uncomfortable. My back still hurts just thinking about it.

My girlfriend and I stayed here over the July 30 weekend and it was exceptional. The room was very large, well furnished, very clean, the aesthetics of Old Quebec were throughout and it made for a very romantic room. It is extremely well situated in the heart of the tourist and bar area, makes for quick trips to the room for a rest or change of clothes. Service was VERY friendly, the little market downstairs and the ice cream shop are fantastic, bars and food right outside your window. This was my first stay in a boutique hotel and I loved it, will be back for sure.

Great old place that has been tastefully refurbished. It's above a restaurant (and there's no elevator/lift) and associated with a little shop next door that functions as reception. Easy going folks, and great place for a morning coffee right on Place d'Armes. (For first-time visitors to Quebec City, this is pretty ideal: it faces the Chateau Frontenac and boardwalk that overlooks the St. Lawrence seaway; important historical sites like the Plains of Abraham (where a battle was decisive for the later course of Canadian history); and heaps of museums and nice restaurants.) Because the city was built for horse carriages and repelling British invaders, don't expect parking to be easy; but for those used to urban environments and driving small cars, you'll do fine.
