The staff did not inform my family or me the second bed was a portable bed coming out of the closet. I went into the room expecting that it would have 2 queen beds; however, it wasn't. There was only one bed and one closet. My family had to figure it out, where is our bed? None of the front receptionists told us that we had to assemble the bed by ourselves. So, we tried to figure it out, and the second bed came out of the closet. The mattress was poor and different than the other. I believe it should have been at least noticed to us so that we can prepare in mind. I have never visited a single hotel that I booked for two queen beds (in 1 room) and provided a portable bed coming out from the closet. Plus, as a customer, I had to set up the bed without having any knowledge. The second bed was completely inside of the closet, and I was just informed to set it up by the front receptionist. There should've been at least an instruction to set up the bed. You cannot just throw the bed and say, "here you go, figure it out yourself." Additionally, the used (DIRTY) towel was hung in the bathroom. With these clues, I could tell how much the staff was unprofessionally trained and not working properly. I am a man who thinks it is a wasting time to write a review, but I must write a review because it ruined my family's night. If you are thinking of booking this hotel for your family, please do not. You will look bad, horrible, and irresponsible husband, dad, or son to your family.

Room was not clean. Found hair on the bathroom floor. Wall paper falling off walls. After taking a shower had to call main desk because water was not draining. Maintenance came up to fix the problem. Could not turn off the heat maintenance man told us open the window. Window screen was broken with a huge gap in it. We had our six year old grandchild with us. We had to be careful, but he didn’t fight at the screen. I do not recommend this motel for anybody. It really needs an up date on the whole building.

The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. However the massive construction will start promptly at 7am. Do not plan on any extra sleep.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Whoever rated it must be in their 80's by now. Bathroom was terrible. The shower curtain was broken when I arrived, bathroom fan doesn't work, when I showered water was everywhere, bathtub was gross. Also my fridge didn't work, tv needs updated and no breakfast. Just poor maintenance in all. I would avoid coming here, especially for the price.

This hotel was perfectly adequate for my trip with my two sisters to explore Quebec City. It was a short walk to the bus to go to the city, and was located near everything we needed like gas, breakfast, and shopping. The room was smaller than we expected, but was perfectly clean and fine for the three of us, as we only slept in the room and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is very busy. There were many families with young children. There was one evening when the sushi restaurant in the hotel was lined up well into the lobby of the hotel. We tried to get reservations for the other restaurant on the premises but they were fully booked all four nights we were there. Perhaps this is a COVID thing, but there was not any housekeeping during our stay. The front desk and housekeeping were responsive when we asked for additional towels, though. I recommend they install some hooks or drying racks for towels if guests are expected to reuse their towels for a number of days. Although this hotel was perfectly adequate for an active family vacation, I would not recommend it for an expected romantic or restful stay where you intend to spend a lot of time enjoying your room. That is not a slight against the hotel, it is just not that kind of place. If you want a clean, comfortable place to sleep at night in between days of touring around, this is your place.

Nice clean rooms, pool didn't feel heated, maybe just me. Nice lobby, clean. Parking is a bit tight to navigate. Electric cars have access to 2 120v parking spaces good for a 10-20% overnight charge. Service was good, quick. But why do cars park and stay right in front of the entrance? Grrrrr.

Terrible service, room overlooking rooftop full of cigarette butts and empty beer cans worst part, broken shower in room and told TOO BAD nothing they could do. do NOT book, save yourself the trouble. it has terrible service and they do not give any cares about any customer service. 256$ a night and our shower literally broke and was NOT useable and we were told too bad!!! my husband had to go back the next morning to fight with them to get us a room just to use a shower. no apology from them, nothing. unbelievable. we finally got a room to shower in but had a night of not being able to shower and still fighting with them about it…..Awful!! picture of the ”lovely” view…..🤢

Don't be fooled by the four Star hotel. This place is a very old, broken down, needs replacement hotel. Our room was hot when we got there, the air conditioner would only turn on if you turned the thermostat down to 17 or less..( maintenance came up, and after 10 minutes figured that out). The beds are hard, and the rooms are very small.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was pleasant experience but out washroom had leakage and water started dripping at night and we had to change our room which was slight discomfort

I stayed there for a bit When I got there the sheets and especially the blanket smelled like sweat so they clearly didn't change the bed sheets. It also took 7 days before house keeping first attended my room after I asked the front desk. Don't get me wrong the staff are really nice but the service is terrible They are a 4 star hotel but not sure how they got it. The room and the hotel in general is ok but a little bit overpriced for the quality. The fact that the blanket was super dirty gave me a really bad taste and I would not go back. Just see it as a two or maybe three stars type of place

Bad experience I will never book in this hotel again. there is no soundproofing. u hear from another room when people take a shower and the furniture is old. not worth it to spend your money on this hotel. also there is a girl working on front who doesn’t know what she’s doing. Lots of attitude and no one makes notes when something is changed. I booked for 3 days and when I cancelled because of an emergency they didn’t want to give me my money back because they said I didn’t pay. If I didn’t fight I would not of gotten my money back. Not worth it to stay here

Overall experience made me feel uncomfortable… Check out was at 11am. At 9:28am, we had someone WALK IN our room. No knock prior to entering, nothing. They used their key to walk in to see if the room was empty to clean. This is EXTREMELY unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. They then proceeded to come back at 10:45 and knock to see if we were still in the room. I understand they are a busy hotel, but I’m paying $200 a night so I have the right to stay until 11am. Would not stay here again as I do not feel safe to sleep at a hotel knowing they will walk into my room whenever they please.

The room was a decent size for our family of 6. The service wasn't too bad, but the parking didn't accommodate us because we have a large SUV that wouldn't fit in their parking garage, and so we had to park at the back of the building with the dumpsters. The room was not clean. The bathtub had dirt in it and the drain was plugged. The bed that pulled down from the wall had dirty bedding. The bedroom had a dirty plastic cup sitting on the air conditioner, the coffee cream ans sugar packets were opened. The place was decently priced for the location, but there's reasons for that....I'd skip it.

Hotel Classique, well not so Classic. Where do I even begin…! 1. Parking: The tightest parking in the world, like seriously margin of error is 1 cm. If you miss it, gone. 2. Rooms: Decent rooms but no amenities. Like first hotel ever to deny cutlery (saying we do not have that facility). Like seriously, you guys are a “hotel”. 3. Service: Staff wasn’t as friendly, I understand you are proud of speaking french but expect a lot of tourist so expect people who do not speak french, talking to customers in english and then murmuring amongst yourself in french, kinda rude. Called and asked for fresh towels, had to remind twice and requested for Toothpastes and the response was you will have to come down and get it. Like seriously,..?? We pay for service and asking us to come down isn’t exactly service. When asked for water, they said you will have to purchase it, that too from outside, lollolol. I mean what??!! You guys cannot even provide drinking water. I feel sad. I wanted to give you 3 stars but since you call yourself a so called “4 star restaurant” I am taking one away, use the extra one you have and make it 3-3. Please save your time, money, and car, and book elsewhere.

Other than the location this hotel was a huge disappointment. We had booked this a long time ago for early August 2023. Needs lots of renovating and upkeep. Service was lacking. The air temp control did not work and was never fixed. (What if it was winter? Or really humid?) Some of the lights were not working and we were given old style desk lamps. We were promised as visitors to the area free transit passes but everytime we asked the hotel staff were out? Once we contacted the city partner and explained then the hotel had them. We were never offered a better room in good condition. No continental breakfast. The shower half drained and didn't work well. Yes we told staff many times to have items repaired/offer a new room. Nothing was ever done. We stayed 4 nights... We had 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 people and half a box of kleenex. Then we're told they don't do housekeeping? Garbage was collecting and we needed those basics. For the rate we paid ($200 per night) I expect better. DO not stay here. Also full of families so maybe for them it's cheaper? But we will never stay here again. 2 thumbs down.

I saw lot of bad reviews. We stayed for 2 days and we were satisfied with our room. We had king bed and a lovely sofa. Air conditioning was good. Room is clean. Only catch I did not like parking space. It is hard to open car trunk. Overall I am ok with our stay. One more catch is it is pricey. But this hotel is near to a big shopping complex, that might be the reason of this price.

The girl that served us was very very nice, she took good care of us although we were early. The room is big, spacious and very clean and modern. Great shower, bed comfortable with a nice view of the Boulevard Laurier. In the room there is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, clock radio. We will be back at this hotel when visiting Québec again. We recommend.

Despite being visibly renovated, the hotel still appears somewhat run-down. Although we stayed in a renovated room, laminate floor, Murphy bed, and bathroom tiles were broken/chipped. The mattresses were a bit dirty; sheets had holes. Housekeeping changed the towels and made the beds daily but didn't sweep the floors. I believe the hotel is doing its best. Additionally, two cardio machines were out of order in the gym. On the bright side, the pool is excellent for kids, and there are extra clean towels available in the pool area's cabinet, eliminating the need to bring your own from the room. It seems the hotel staff is striving to maintain cleanliness. There's an all-you-can-eat sushi place adjacent to the hotel, which is fantastic. The hotel is approximately a 15-minute drive from the downtown core.

I stayed at this hotel on March 28-29, 2023. I had a terrible experience. The hotel is nice and clean with a good location. However, their service is less than adequate. The temperature in my room was 24 degree Celsius and I couldn't adjust it. The phone was out of service. I asked the front desk in the morning to check it. Apparently they sent someone to a different room but never tried to reach back. I went back again in the evening twice. The supervisor on duty said he will send someone, but that someone never came. The supervisor never contacted me to provide any update. I spent the night with a window open to lower the room temperature. Next day morning, I went to see the new supervisor on duty. His excuse was that the night supervisor was new and it was his second day on the job. He also said that it is hard to find technicians in the evening. Conclusion, they don't care about the well being of patrons as long as they get paid (by the way, they charge it to your credit card when you check in). I never received any apology. Will not go there again.

The property in general is very poorly maintained, sofas and chairs were stained, dirty and stained carpets, scraped walls and smelly hallways. The room’s air conditioner did not worked and they failed to fix it or to change us to a different room. We had to open the window (-8C outside ) to bring the room temp down as it reached at night 27C. We will never come back. The pictures are so deceitful.

The room was nice and it looks like it was modernized recently. However, you should avoid if you are planning to work while you are there, as the wifi in the room is very very slow (0.5 Mbps).

Location is great but the price doesn't match the expectations. The rooms are clean but many little things are broken. Halls are not well maintained. The parking is ridiculously tight and low ceiling (careful when you open your truck). Overall not a great experience. I'll go somewhere else next time.

we stayed in this hotel almost 10 times now! the rooms are clean and roomy for the price! love the balconies and the views (city or fleuve) for top floors. never had a bad experiance, staff is more then helpful and there is a nice pool and gym. trucks have to park outside but they have a good size parking. indoor parking is great too, but like most indoor parking in quebec its tight. its close to the highway and a big mall. they also have a sushi restaurent and it is very good too.

We stayed there for a night during our visit to Quebec city. We booked double room with queen beds. The room was spacious. We needed microwave and a fridge which was there. They have an underground parking which is free. The hotel is close to Quebec city, 20mins drive. Opposite to this hotel, you have a shopping mall which have Walmart for your daily needs. The price was reasonable and we really enjoyed our stay there.

The window didn’t open despite staff telling us it would. Smelly, the ventilation more less dysfunctional The ice machine was broken The hotel didn’t offer breakfast on the two days of our stay The room wasn’t cleaned after the first day No usb charging in the room Tv remote not working due to batteries failing Bathroom fan not starting at first and extremely noisy Hardest bed ever

Hotels clean, a bit old, understandable. My problem is as follow. We took a suite. Had two rooms and living room with a kitchen. I just want to meet whoever designed the layout. They put an ac unit in one bedroom, and put one in the living room, but looked at the last room and decided, eh why would it need one.

  • 3/5 Pavel B. 2 years ago on Google
The verage quality room. Due to the Covid-19 the room services wasn't available. Specifically difficult when staying for 4-5 days with small kids. The underground parking is tight. There are some areas where hard to park with large SUV with risk of hitting the fifth door when opening.

A wonderful hotel, it was very big roomy for my family of 5. We had to call for a romate but they were really sweet and came up and gave it. Lastly, there wasn't a breakfast timing which was a disadvantage, however the hotel itself seemed very fancy. Would come again in the future

Good family size room, with 3 queen beds, very comfortable. The room was clean with all the linens. Its straight drive to old Quebec, and Wal-Mart at walking distance. You can take bus to Old Quebec right in front of hotel. The staff were friendly and supportive

Great hotel, service is very good & the personel are very good. The hotel itself is very clean & the rooms have been modern ized. There's a pool & a small gym too.Has a good all you can eat shusi restaurant too. Beds are very comfortable, has a small fridge & microwave & coffee machine. It's also well located to all conviencies, shopping center just across the street,my wife loved that !! The old historical part is just a very short drive down the road.I highly recommend this place.

Well to start with check in was easy and quick, however rooms were not upto the mark specially the washroom, bathtub was not clean and very sleepery, wall papers were coming off. We stayed for 2 nights. 1st night we informed that air condition is not working so they provided us 2 tower fans, we thought they would fix it next day but to our strange nobody even bother to ask us. Next day also we slept with fans. So overall experience was not pleasant and would not like to come back or recommend to anyone.

I was in this hotel two times The rooms are very good and clean but I don’t like the corridors and the lobby, they are not clean, the carpets are seems too old. But the most important thing that I don’t like is the windows of the rooms. I don’t know why they don’t try to clean them. It seems that they didn’t clean them during the last 3 years

Night 1: I arrived at 10pm and was given keys to my room which didn't work. three trips down to the reception and I finely got into my room. I then called reception asking for cutlery as I ordered in dinner. They sent up security thinking that was what I said. to add the A/C unit was faulty making a noise keeping me up till 3am. I didn't bother calling to ask about it that night as the porter had no English. Night 2: That morning going to work I made reception aware of the A/C unit. I got back that night and nothing had been done. I got maintenance up who stated it was "normal". After going downstairs I was given another room but on my way to this new room the maintenance guy found me to say he had fixed it, even though he said it was normal moments earlier? So I then had to go get my old keys back. To add the Internet was extremely slow, via Ookla speedtest it said it was 0.89 to 2 mbps. I was here to open a new office location and was looking to get a hotel for colleagues visiting. I will not be recommending this hotel. As they name states they are a bit too "Classique" and not modern in the slightest.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This web site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure! Great hotel. Stayed one night and everything was perfect. Clean room, friendly and helpful staff (even gave us a wonderful recommendation for a family restaurant), and kids loved the pool. Easy check out.

I loved my stay. The staff was okay but the amenities were just great. A restaurant, a gym and a pool, we had everything we needed. The location was amazing! Close to a mall, a SAQ, and many buses! The room was clean and comfortable... the only thing I didn't like was the shower... the water pressure was super low and I only had hot water for about 5 minutes, without exageration...

The hotel was excellent in my experience. The receptionists each and every one of them whom I’ve interacted with were amazing, nice and courteous. They all spoke english which made the stay easier. They let us leave our baggages while we went to rent a car. The hotel room itself was clean, modern and comfortable. Also it is a plus that the mall is across the hotel. Mcdonalds is also down the street . very easy and accessible to stay at. Will stay here again.

The only good part of this hotel was the pool. The gym was ok but 1 of the 2 treadmills were broken and the bench press was really loud, I was looking forward to the weights but unfortunately there were none. The rooms were really small and the beds creaked every time you sat on it, two lights were broken and we called room service but no one came. I hate the fact that we had to go to the front counter to enter the gym and the pool was not made clear and the pool very deep and quite small. The bathrooms barely have place to move and the elevators were slow. The kitchen was ok but we were told there was gonna be a balcony and there wasn’t. The beds were tucked in very tight so I couldn’t move the blanket so I had a bad night of sleep. It wasn’t made clear that you had to go to the counter to enter the gym and the pool so it took us 1h to figure it out. Me and my sister took some clean towels from the bathroom and they were not clean and very dirty. The towels were also very very small and I barely got to wrap them around me. When we went to the pool, there was a lot of trash inside of it and we had to pick it up. Be warned, this is not a great hotel but if you do come bring your own towels and make sure of EVRYTHING that they wrote in your email

The pluses include reasonable price, clean and quiet, convenient location, free parking and internet. However, I found the rooms to be quite uncomfortable. The bed consisted of a 3 in mattress on a wooden base. The “couch” is mostly designed to accept a fold down bed. The cushions, which are very low to the floor, are independent of the back cushions. As a result, the base tends to slide forward if you make the mistake of leaning back. Also, checking in, I was ignored for close to 10 mins while standing directly in front of the front desk staff. Not sure what they were watching on their screens but seems to me a simple greeting with a simple “I’ll be right with you”, might be better than ignoring me but whatever. Not planning on returning any time soon.

The room was clean and not bad. However, the air conditioning in the main room and the refrigerator were out of order. And the hotel cannot provide any refund, discount or room exchange. Pretty upset.

  • 4/5 Brad M. 1 year ago on Google
This is a pretty run-of-the-mill hotel, nothing special, but my stay was comfortable overall. The price is reasonable and the gym is well equipped for a hotel. Location is good and free parking is nice. Most rooms also seem to have balconies! My room was clean but the common areas are pretty dirty and somewhat neglected. Also, the beds don’t have fitted sheets, which is pretty inexcusable for a hotel in 2022. -1 star for that.
