Loved staying here. Elaine is the best hostess ever, very friendly and helpful, eager to help plan your day. Very nice continental breakfast. Great room except for very small bathroom.

A wonderful little hotel in an awesome location for visiting old Quebec City. It is right on the wall itself just a couple of blocks from the Citadel and the Plains of Abraham. It is also within easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping but tucked away in a side street so you don't feel like you are in the middle of tourist hustle and bustle. The hotel itself is well appointed and the rooms larger than you might think from the photos. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and definitely added positively to our stay and our vacation. Would definitely return if our wandering leads us back to Quebec City.

This place is a gem! If you're looking for a genuine experience of old Quebec City and appreciate history and charm, Hotel Cap Diamant is a memorable stay. It's one of the last remaining family run hotels of it's kind and it feels like a home more than a hotel. The people that run the hotel add to the experience and were a true delight. It surpassed my expectations and I would be happy to stay here again.

Charming hotel in Old Quebec. Our hosts were warm and friendly, the room was full of character and comfortable. Great location on a quiet street. Continental breakfast served each morning. Many stairs to front door and rooms so if you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you.

Amazing small boutique hotel gem in old Qc. Super well situated on a quiet street very close to the Chateau, shops, restos, etc.. Stunningly beautiful, well built, top quality furniture and comfortable - wow! . Exceptional service- super friendly staff. Great value and breakfast was a nice surprise. Would 1000% recommend to anyone.

We had a really pleasant stay. Hotel is situated at the centre of the city. I highly recommend this place.

Super convenient location literally in the center of the old town. Extremely friendly host offered very detailed travel tips and always happy to accommodate all sorts of situations. And the price is unbeatable it even comes with free breakfast. Highly recommend

This hotel cancelled our 2 room reservation only 3 weeks before our travel to Quebec City, despite having made the reservation 5 months ago. We were left with literally only a single option to book in the old part of the city, for more than double the cost. It is extremely unfortunate that they were not decent enough to give us more notice, nor the decency to even phone us to let us know (cancelled via email). Shameful customer service.

We stayed at Hotel Cap Diamant for 5 days in early October. It was a wonderful experience. Marie and Helene were very attentive and friendly. Their hospitality made the experience at their boutique hotel wonderful. The continental breakfast was always served with a big smile and friendly conversation. The location of their hotel was perfect. Right in the old city and just minutes from restaurants, the river and Chateau Frontenac. The Victorian décor of the hotel was exquisite. While the weather was too cool to enjoy it, the courtyard would have been ideal to enjoy breakfast in the mornings. If there was any complaint, it was that the stairs leading into the hotel are very steep. We definitely recommend the hotel to anyone planning on staying in the old city and we look forward to returning.

The service is excellent, very welcoming. The decoration is beautiful, surrounded by art. Only breakfast we expected very different and were a little disappointed. But we enjoyed the experience and it was wonderful.

Our 2nd stay at Cap Diamant. Beautiful rooms and the owner and staff are very accommodating to enhance your stay. Close to all sights in upper and lower Old Quebec. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Hotel Cap Diamant in Sept 2022. We were actually next door at 37 Av. Sainte-Geneviève in room B1 (King bed, facing street). The room was bigger than I expected, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but reasonable. The stairs to the room were challenging with luggage, but if you don't like stairs, then Quebec City is probably not the place for you. Both Marie and Elaine were excellent hosts.

Our second time here and we'd come back again! The location is both convenient to everything and yet still quiet. So much charm in this comfortable and very clean boutique hotel. The hosts are so helpful and will make suggestions of unique spots to visit. Please keep in mind that this is not a chain hotel experience, but that is one of the reasons it's wonderful.

The service here is incredible ! The owner and staff are very hospitable and willing to go out of the way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. They are very knowledgeable in regards to the old part of the city and recommended great restaurants . The hotel is located within 2 blocks of the boardwalk and Chateau, making access to the old section of the city convenient by foot. The hotel itself is very cozy and has a real home feel. There is secure underground parking a short walk from the hotel, there is no parking at the hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Cap Diamant if you are looking for comfortable accommodations located at the top of the old city of Quebec.

My experience with this hotel was horrible! I made a reservation through Expedia and the hotel charge a reservation holding fee of almost $274.00 three weeks later on Nov 26th I cancelled the reservation and was told there would be a refund. Three weeks later and still NO REFUND!! I have called VISA and am now disputing this charge. DO NOT be fooled like me and have to go through this experience!!!

Everything was exceptional and waaaay beyond expectations! Charming little start on a very quiet street (which is yet right in the heart of the old city, two minutes walk from the castle-hotel Fairmont). Rooms are truly unique in design. Breakfast at veranda are a real zen. The owner (manager? i am not sure) is a super charming lady, very helpful and very nice. I haven't noticed a single bad thing, like at all! Strongly recommended for couples and anyone who can appreciate a place with a cozy vide and an original history.

Marie was a warm, hospitable host, very helpful with any questions we had. Hotel is conveniently located, close to everything but on a side street that’s quiet. Room was clean, but it would have been even better if it had an electric kettle or something with which to make hot tea or coffee early in the morning or in the evening.

Very good rooms. If going to be picky the water temperature seemed to fluctuate when showering. Beside that I can't find any issues... Regarding the location it is very good. It's a brief walk to all important stuff. Service is where the hotel shines. The host is amazing. Rarely I've seen someone as dedicated to customer satisfaction. Awesome experience in a great town!

Clean, quiet, tasteful rooms. Helpful assistance. Lovely continental breakfast. We were able to store our bicycles in the convenient basement at street level. Great location on a quiet part of Old Quebec near the Citadelle and famous hotel Frontenac . Steps and hills are everywhere in this part of the city including a few steep steps into the hotel. We’d definitely return.

This was my second stay here at Hotel Cap Diamant. Both stays were exceptional. This time my wife and I stayed in the suite with a balcony. It was absolutely massive. It has a kitchen with a fridge, dining room, king size bed, and a second floor with a seating area along with a nicely equipped private bathroom. The staff are absolutely amazing and very accommodating. The location is great, walking distance to most everything. The street is very quiet. Some things to keep in mind: 1 - There are two buildings, next door to one another. 2 - The main building is where they serve a continental breakfast each morning. 3 - If you're visiting in the winter, you will need to remove your shoes when entering and wear provided slippers to your room. 4 - The stairs are pretty steep. Fine for me but may not be for everyone.

Located very near The Plains D'abraham, this is an absolutely charming little nine room Hotel with wonderful hosts, Helene and Marie. Step into a 19th century home, and enjoy the beautiful king size bed and wonderful little backyard court. We were so thrilled to discover this gem

We really liked our hotel room, the hospitality, breakfast and location were amazing. Mary and Elena were a great hosts. We loved how the ancient architecture details were preserved in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had huge windows with a nice view. We loved to have our breakfasts in their beautiful garden. I was amazed to learn from Mary that I was staying in a 17th century residence. We will definitely be staying here when we travel to Quebec again.

I don’t normally write reviews, but Hotel Cap Diamant has blown me away. The attention to detail and 5 star luxury was an exceptional experience! Newly renovated and in the heart of Old Quebec, this boutique hotel is a cut above the rest. From the impressive state of the art furnishings, high end linens and bath products to the little touches that made us feel so special, we absolutely loved our stay. Amazing service, beautiful breakfast. Deluxe comfort. Wow. We highly recommend and can’t wait to return soon!
