The best B&B. The owner gives her best to serve the costumers. The decoration is fantastic. The arrangement of the room...great! The little breakfast is full of different options and the sweet treats cooked a home ..wonderful! The location is perfect for everything. A little frigo in the Room. Just the parking a bit far especially when it rains. For the rest I really recommend it. Book it directly is cheaper. Waiting to come back soon. The view of the city from the balcon is spectacular and you could sit outside to have a little something while a nice talk to enjoy a nice evening.

Amazing 😍 I loved everything in the place, the experience, the cleanliness, The owner is a very friendly classy lady. From the reviews I expected a good place but honestly it was over my expectation. I loved the breakfast as well. I will definitely visit the place again.

This is a wonderful, charming place to stay in the heart of Old Quebec City. We so enjoyed our host who kindly allowed my kids to practice their French with her. Great breakfast, and while the location is central it is on a quiet street. We had a wonderful terrace and view off our room. I cannot recommend highly enough, if you want to really experience Quebec City then this is the place!

It was so perfect! If you really want to get the feel of Quebec, a stay at this place is a must! It really feels being a part of a castle. The room was very spacious with paintings hung and European interiors. The location is superb and walking distance from all the places we wanted to go. It's the best location if you want to stay in Old Quebec. The host is so cute and friendly! We loved her and she baked super awesome cakes available for breakfast everyday. We loved the breakfast as well. I would 100% recommend this place and would always stay here if we come back again!

We were looking for something walkable, historic, and filled with character for our stay in Quebec city, and Castel d'Amerique delivered! Jolanta’s home is beautiful, decorated with one-of-a-kind art, antique furniture, and collectibles. Our room was a spacious and clean loft with two comfortable queen beds. The AC kept up very well with the hot and humid days, and there was a modest flat screen TV with Netflix that we relied on during a very rainy day. We got wine and snacks from the nearby market and enjoying them on the shared terrace with a lovely view. The breakfast was a treat every morning with delicious jams and yogurt, hard boiled eggs, tasty breads/cakes baked by the owner, cereals, cheese, bread, coffee, OJ. The location was ideal – on a quiet street within the city walls in the upper town and a fairly easy walk to everything we wanted to see. Jolanta was extremely sweet and helpful while also letting us do our own thing. Even with all these comforts and location, the price was extremely reasonable/affordable. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Quebec.

Everything has been said and it is all accurate!!! Just book your trip and get to meet this wonderful woman and enjoy the special place she has created. Quebec City is truly beautiful to explore but don't miss the falls!

This is a long overdue review. We stayed here on our visit to Quebec. The place is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous. The host is very sweet, friendly and very accommodating. Both my kids have allergies and she tried her best to serve them breakfast goodies that they could enjoy. The cakes and bread are homebaked and delicious. The place is located within close proximity to the attractions. We walked to them. Restaurants were close by. It was a very pleasant stay overall.

Owner Jolanta was extremely accomodating during our stay in June, 2023. The continental breakfast includes a homemade bread or cake each day; yum! The rooms were spacious and the outside patio lovely to sit and overlook Old Quebec City.

We stayed at Castel d'Amerique Francaise from 9/13-9/19. It was amazing! The artwork and decor was tastefully done and we couldn't believe how well-appointed our room was!! We were on the second floor and had a fun little balcony. Breakfast was perfect; we enjoyed the food and the conversation with other guests. Also, the location of the B&B was absolutely perfect! We walked everywhere! We would go back in a heartbeat!!

We stayed 3 nights here and it was our favorite place we stayed out of many on our trip. It’s a place where you instantly feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you walk in. The room was spacious and included a balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Our bed was so comfortable, the shower was great, we loved all the different paintings throughout the inn too. Our host, Jolanta, was wonderful. She puts out a nice breakfast each day in the front room: hard boiled eggs, cakes and breads, along with coffee, tea and juice. She was a terrific host and we enjoyed getting to chat with her. I look forward to returning to Québec City and staying here again!

We stayed 7 nights here during our week-long family vacation in Quebec City in August, and we could not have had a better experience. It is a charming, cozy, welcoming place. We loved our room (Champlain) and enjoyed using the balcony morning, afternoon, and at night! The building has so much soul--decorated with antiques, original artwork. We felt at home immediately! Breakfast every day was delicious and filled us up for the long days of walking and exploring. The location was perfect--a quick walk to Chateau Frontenac, art streets, lots of restaurants, shopping, the Citadelle, etc, but the street itself is quiet and peaceful. I hope we can return to Quebec City, and if we do, we'll stay here again. We miss it already!

In addition to offering a perfect combination of old-world charm, exceptional comfort, and tremendous value, this Bed and Breakfast is located in a wonderful area of Quebec City. We were able to walk to all of our planned destinations during our one week stay. There are numerous restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions in each direction. Quebec City is probably the safest city to which we have ever traveled as well. We walked at all hours of the day amongst friendly locals and other tourists, and we felt like we were in Europe throughout our stay. The homemade breads and breakfast items available each morning allowed us to start each day with a delicious meal while saving money for other travel expenses. This Bed and Breakfast is a treasure.

This was a charming French B&B in the heart of it all. Loved the decor…would love to find beaded bedside lamps like those! A light breakfast and delicious coffee or tea awaited us every morning. Drinking wine on the balcony at night was delightful. My only complaint was the steep stairs carrying a suitcase. But we made it!! Request a downstairs room if needed.

We spent a week at this charming B&B in September. We loved the hostess, the location within the walled city and the spacious room. It was a wonderful week close to everything we wanted to do and see. No elevator so pack accordingly and be prepared for steps. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay in a small hotel that is in a great location moments from the bustling town centre. We requested the ground floor and that's what we got. It was a lovely large room with everything in it that we needed. The breakfast was help yourself with lots of choice. The atmosphere was really friendly and we met some lovely people that were happy to chat about their experiences over breakfast. The owner, Jolante, was a really friendly hostess and we'd be happy to visit again.

The location was great, easily within walking distance of all the attractions. I really felt that I experienced old Quebec staying in such a historic building it was like going back in time. The owner was very friendly and helped us in securing a taxi on the day we left. The dining area was quaint and the food very good. I would stay here again, much better than an impersonal hotel. Also the bed was super comfortable.......Make sure you are able to negotiate stairs, no elevators here!!

We loved staying in this bed and breakfast! The inside was beautiful and decorated in Victorian style. This was the prettiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The 2 rooms that we had were gorgeous! Jolanta is a sweetheart and always there when you needed her or had a question. She was warm and welcoming. She provides breakfast, such as various fruit cakes, various cereals, oranges, various cheeses, breads, tea (every type you could imagine!) hot chocolate, coffee, orange juice, which we enjoyed. Highly recommended!

Wonderful and cozy place to stay for a short visit in Quebec city. The host, Jolanta, is very kind and friendly. She waited for us as we arrived the place a bit late. We loved the coffee and breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and well decorated. Definitely we will come back. Thank you Jolanta.

We really enjoyed our stay! The host was great: friendly, helpful and very accommodating. It's a very cozy old-fashioned B&B with a unique atmosphere and very conveniently located close to all attractions of the Old Quebec. There are a few staircases to walk to get to the room and no elevator. It was ok for us, but might be problematic for people with heavy suitcases. The breakfast was very nice and we could have it in the dining room or bring to our room. Tea, coffee, water were available at any time of the day. Strongly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at this hotel. It’s unique and homey decor made our stay comfortable and relaxing after days of exploring and touring. The beds were comfortable and the room was sparkling clean. The 24 hour availability of the breakfast room made it easy to make evening beverages if we wanted. The location was ideal as it was close to all amenities and in the heart of old Quebec. The hostess and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Location, room, balcony and the house in general exceeds expectations. I would choose to stay again over the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.

Our host was an absolute delight and was so helpful with any and every request/need we had. Breakfast was always enjoyable with perfectly boiled eggs and fresh homemade baking each morning. The room is a great size with its own balcony which we took advantage of for a picnic lunch on a rainy day. The B& B is perfectly located whether catching a bus to Montmorency Falls or walking the old streets of Quebec City. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

What a wonderful hotel! Excellent location and very charming inside and out. We loved our spacious room and the decor. Outdoor decks were much appreciated. Breakfast food was plentiful. The host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Great B &B. Perfect location for sightseeing in Old Quebec. Everything is very walkable and an excellent breakfast every morning. Owner is very kind and exceedingly helpful. The back patio is beautiful and has a great view. Our room was very roomy with plenty of space, private large bathroom, and massive windows to look down on the street below (with curtains so the sun isn't too bothersome in the morning!). Would definitely look into staying here again if we were to visit Quebec City in the future!

The B&B is quaint and classic. It's like being in a home in a small French town. It's an easy walk to Old Quebec and the area is generally very convenient to major sites. Jolanta is a sweet and delightful host with a willingness to help and a kind send-off each day. The large 2nd floor room was eclectic and spotless with a sitting area outside. Breakfast offered a variety of cheeses, breads, cereals, yogurt, coffee, orange juice and more. Parking is in a nearby public garage, but this is primarily a residential area so this is expected. Jolanta will tell you exactly how to find the garage and how to use the payment machine. (Just insert your card, take it back when ejected, and insert same card again when you leave - approx $15USD/day) The walk to the garage is about five minutes. Overall, a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in an older building with lovely historical style decor, but modern fittings, bathroom, etc. Nice breakfast, hotel run by a very nice woman.

Amazing B&B. The owner is very polite and accommodating. Great location right in the old city, walkable to everything. The owner was kind enough to let our dog stay with us. Will definately stay here again.

We stayed here during our visit to Old Quebec city. It was a charming place filled with art, comfy and functional rooms with a nice view from the balcony. Breakfast was decent. Jolanta was an excellent owner/host and will stay here again for our next visit.

As many others have said, the host and inn are wonderful, and good location. Her daughter also did many of the outstanding murals in the house.

Our family of 4 had an excellent stay. The room with 2 Queen beds was clean, large and very comfortable. There are nice views from the terrace (for all guests), making it a great place to have our morning coffee. It was so great to have access to the continental breakfast that every day included, among many other things, homemade pastry. The host/owner, Jolanta, is friendly and accommodating. Jolanta's recommended parking garage is a 5-min walk, safe, and cost $20 CAD per 24 hours. We loved every aspect of our stay, but perhaps the best part of being there is its close location to everywhere in the Old City. We stayed for 3 days and never considered using a car.
