First. Our room wasn't clean and made up when we went in. Then, they upgraded us across the road and up the street. Ok. Yes. Worth the hassle. Then, after about 10 minutes they came and told us we could not have the upgraded room. Psyche! We had to pack up and carry our stuff back to the original building to a "clean room." Just bad management all around. We waste an hour getting yanked around. And the clean room? Well, it stank. And the aircon spit water every once in awhile. And when I wrote management about this, no reply. So yeah. Unpleasant four days in Quebec because of poorly managed hotel. And it really is management. Not the workers. Do yourself a favour. Skip this hotel.

Basic things not available. No fridge in the room. I am diabetic so nowhere to store my insulin, so I thought I'll get ice. NO ICE MACHINE. Construction right outside and it's almost impossible to pull in to unload and load. Parking was 18.00 a day a block away. Air conditioning in our room was not working properly. Would not stay again.

Wonderful experience here. Light on amenities, but you can't beat the price or location. I was able to walk everywhere and even park my car nearby for a reasonable price (15 CAD per weekend day).

The rooms showed cleanliness and comfort, accompanied by swift hot water supply. The front staff proved to be pleasant and attentive. However, we were uncertain whether room cleaning services were included, as we did not receive them during our stay. Also, the castle was a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel.

Had a very bad experience trying to book a room at this hotel. Staff were extremely rude to me on the phone as I attempted to get more information to finalize my booking.

Great concept and very well maintained property. Its like staying in a private apartment that is fully furnished. The service was prompt and professional. The site offers parking near by for 10 CAD or so per day. Place is located in heart of quebec city and plenty or things to do and eat at walking distance. The apartment is also equipped with a full kitchen , microwave coffee machine , all utensils , towels everything.

We stayed a few nights here for our honeymoon and enjoyed it. A few notes were that parking was a couple blocks away, our room specifically didn't have a fridge to put leftovers in and we had a very hard time getting the TV to work and find all the channels they said we're available. We did enjoy the very modern feel of the room and the hotel in general. Also it was within just a short walking distance of many wonderful restaurants that made for delicious dinners and lunches. If you are looking for a more modern, slightly different hotel experience, this would be a great option for you.

I really loved my stay here. The room was quiet and zen, the whole hotel is just very peaceful with dark hallways and soundproof rooms. Lots of great cafes and restaurants within walking distance and even the Old Port of Quebec is just a 20-30 minute walk (or a quick drive). I also loved the little courtyard in the back of the hotel - a private little space to enjoy some fresh air.

This is a cute hotel for a weekend or a long weekend. In terms of location, you’re close to the nice St. Joseph pedestrian zone, with shops, bars, and restaurants. But, you’re quite a walk away from the Old Town. I like the contactless check-in, and the passcode entry - it makes check-in a lot easier. The reception staff was also very friendly. The building is nicely renovated, with a very modern feel to it. The hallways are a bit dark. The rooms are minimalist and very spacious. However, you cannot crack any of the windows open, not even an inch. This may not matter to others, but as someone who always has a window open, this was less than ideal. The sink drain had to be physically opened for the water to drain. The bathroom was very nice. Overall, it was very clean, and I would recommend it for a shorter stay.

Great simple room. Minimalist, like the description said. Very clean, smelled good all over the hotel. The mattress was okay, and it was a bit expensive, but great location, cheap underground parking not even a block away. The staff was very nice. I would go again

Shower water was barely warm. No tray/shelf for soap in shower. No housekeeping service.

Supposedly this was a hotel room vs. a "Loft" this had no phone in the room to reach a front desk attendant and many times people were not there. The room was plenty roomy and clean but lacked a few simple conveniences. No hooks in the bathroom to hang a robe or towel. No telephone to reach a front desk.

The rooms are not clean don't be fooled by the shiny new decorations. Checking in was a nightmare as our first room was not clean so upgraded to the lofts then rudely by the management sent back to the other rooms. The third room had a very bad smell ac was leaking water etc. At this point we just said ok this is the best we can do. Sigh what an unfortunate 4 nights. We did complain and there was no response.

There was noisy construction right outside of the building that we could hear from our room - nobody notified us about this before we made our reservation. Our room had no noise cancellation so we could hear walking and stomping in the room above us and lots of noise from the hallway. The floors in our room were filthy, there was no fridge in the room, and the hotel wasn’t offering housekeeping so we didn’t get any clean sheets unless we asked for them… again, we weren’t notified of this beforehand. The girls at the front desk were always on their cellphone and were never a friendly or welcoming presence into the hotel as well. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. If you want a comfortable and friendly stay, go somewhere else.

Tldr: hotel only 2 stars, location is the only thing they have, maybe 3 stars if they actually answered the phone. Very cute building on the outside but the inside doesn't match. Redone interior is what a goth first year interior designer thought was cool in 2014; harsh and unwelcoming. But even aside from the gloomy decor the staff as just as unwelcoming. Saw the person at the desk actively ignore our phone call when we were locked out and hadn't been given the code to the door with the reservation 🫠 Beds were comfy and clean but amenities were lacking for sure - tiny bathroom without any shelves or space for your toiletries, not even a space to hang your towel that isn't directly above the toilet, so you bump into your wet towel when you sit down. Coffee machine doesn't have the right size filters or enough coffee beans for a full pot PLUS you can't plug it in because there is only one accessible outlet in the room and it is nowhere near the coffee pot. Hallways are dark with terrible lighting, it made my friend actually dizzy when going down the hall. The lighting in the rooms is also atrocious. Cleaning was also suspect (see photo below). All to say, overpriced hotel in good location but definitely only a 2 star hotel, 3 stars maybe if they answered the phone.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room itself was not great. The shower had used shampoo in it and it also didn't have a closet of any drawers for clothes. If you are taking a shower, there is no place to keep your soap or shampoo, other than on the floor. The staff was friendly though but couldn't address most of our issues. The front lobby has stairs so difficult to get strollers in and out, and this hotel is not child friendly. I specifically stayed the 2nd floor.

This is unfortunately a late review from over an year ago but had to still post it. We paid to stay for multiple nights. First room we had checked in had a clogged toilet and a used tampon in the bathroom. The room had clearly not been cleaned well. We mentioned it to the hotel staff, they moved us to a 2nd room. The 2nd room was still dirty. The sofa had some sort of sticky residue (probably food). We decided to stay the night as we were too tired. We were unable to get a good night sleep because the sheets reeked of bleach. It wasn't the "it's been cleaned" but more of, "it was soaked in bleach and we didn't wash it". Both of us woke up with severe migraines. At this point, at 7 am in the morning we were no longer able to stay there. We contact the hotel staff, they came in and saw the condition of the room and said that they can move us to a 3rd room but the 3rd room will still have the issues with the sheets. We no longer wanted to deal with this. We asked the hotel for an early checkout agreeing to pay in full for the night we stayed and request a refund for the rest. Had to talk to their management and desk staff for 2 hours and in the end they said that they will not refund us any of the additional nights that we aren't staying. They "checked us out" without giving us a refund so they can turn around and re-rent the room and earn 2x that weekend. Win for them. We had to get a room at Fairmont because that was the only hotel that had rooms that weekend and pay crazy Fairmont prices. In the future, I would re-check into Fairmont (and pay their prices) if the alternative is Les Lofts Charest. I would avoid these people at any cost.

Great little hotel. Location is not amazing if you want to be closer to the old town and all the activities.

Big big disappointment, it's a place that want to be seen as high quality, but you get a cheap experience. It's a good place for one night only. There was no kettle in the room, so when it's snowing outside you have no option of making yourself a hot tea. There was a coffee maker in the room tho. Duvet was literally between 2 sheets, not a real cover. No room service in between your stay. The staff is useless, honestly I don't know why they were there since you don't need them even for check in nor check out and they can't provide you anything you ask for.

Everything we needed for our stay in Quebec city. Service from on site staff was excellent

The loft was fantastic overall, great decor, clean. Why ever go to conventional hotels when we can have something like this? Paid parking was available nearby (Dorchester parking lot) at a reasonable rate. The location is also about 30 mins walk from Old Quebec, real convenient.

Got what we paid for. Nice and clean room. Good location, only 15 minute walk from Glare du parlais Viarail station. Highly recommended!

The receptionist was really rude, and the parking situation they suggested is pretty confusing, as you can see in the attachments. The room was cleaned for the first night but not for the second, even though we spent the whole day outside. The room was pretty minimalist, but the beds are comfy and shower was great. Didn’t have filters for the coffee machine. Would probably not stay at this place again.

Very basic hotel. The bathroom had limited space to put any toiletries so that was a little frustrating. Also our shower didn't really have hot water, so it was a little disappointing to come back to shower after a cold day.

Absolutely beautiful place. Stayed here three nights in the loft. Travelled there from ontario. Will be bringing my entire family back again.
