This is an excellent hotel. The location is great and the rooms are very clean. The parking is fairly easy, there is a large garage with reasonable rates a few blocks away. The host was excellent in explaning information about Quebec City. The breakfast they serve is excellent too! I would highly recommend staying here. We were here during the fall but it looks like they have great summer amenties based on their hangout spots on the deck and patio.

Amazing location that was perfect for a visit to Quebec old city! Located on a quiet and central street, within walking distance to all major attractions. The room had 2 very comfortable queen beds. It was very clean, decor was cozy and inviting. The heated bathroom floors were a bonus! The added touch of 2 super comfy bathrobes to wrap yourself in after walking all day in the cold was perfect! Nicole and Claude were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome during our 3 day stay. Our daily homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, enough to last you through the day! Superb omelettes with homemade breads, muffins and yogurt topped off with cappuccino and lattes. We highly recommend this place for all visitors wanting a home away from home experience!

Coureur des Bois is a little gem. The location is perfect and it is a charming hotel. Claude and Nicole are extremely helpful and accommodating hosts. We stayed in the Whale Room which had very comfortable beds and a new modern bathroom. It is kept exceptionally clean. The breakfasts are excellent and worthy of a special mention. The goats cheese and pepper omelette was one of the best I've ever eaten. The personal touches in Coureur Des Bois set it apart from larger generic hotels and I would definitely recommend it without hesitation.

Very charming Quebec-style house, fully renovated with two passionate people who love to talk about their city to their guests. The breakfast is amazing! Also, the location is perfect if you want to visit the old city. I would recommend without any hesitation.

My partner and I stayed here earlier this month and had a wonderful stay. The property is quiet, with shared areas to mingle with other guests. Great walkable location, and very friendly hosts. Breakfast was so good!

Great B&B, breakfast was really good! Hosts are nice and welcoming! Well situated in Old Quebec, walking distance from every main attraction. 100% worth the steep hill to get to it! Will most likely visit again.

This place was excellent. The room had a mix of quaint charm and modern convenience like updated bathroom and air conditioning. The breakfast was the best part, delicious omelette with a side of fruit and toast, or a sweet option like waffles and French toast. Also close to everything. Would definitely recommend!

We loved this B&B! Everything was fabulous! The decor and stone walls are perfect for an old Quebec experience. Breakfasts are wonderful, elegantly presented and delicious (with lovely homemade yogurt, jams, baking and treats. The comfort of the bed and pillows was excellent. The Bear room we had was great for two and we also had access to a comfortable guest lounge area and balcony. We enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee. Our stay was very memorable!

Beautiful space with a great breakfast and wonderful hosts. Very convenient location in old town. The hill it is on is steep though, so beware of ice in the winter. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVED this B&B! The breakfasts are so filling that we often didn't eat lunch. The location is perfect; we were able to pop back in early afternoon and have a quick nap so that we could enjoy the evening exploring historic Quebec City. We had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the deck situated in the back garden. Claude was patient as we tried to practice our french. And, there is a quaint little sandwich shop across the street where you could have a beer in the garden, grab some picnic items for a nice evening meal in one of the many parks, or just to relax and enjoy a break from the busy streets. If we return to Quebec City, we are definitely going back to Le Coureur des Bois.

Great Central Location! ... (but heads up ...it is on a Very Steep hill, and you will need to manage some inside steep stairways)... You can walk to every site in the Old City from here ...and it is just around the corner from the historic & walkable wall. The owners Claude and Nicole are super nice, quite accomodating and very helpful! They prepare your choice of two fresh & tasty breakfast entrees and serve them to you at the table daily... We stayed in the Whale room, which is in front of the home...(on street side)... so we did hear a little noise from the foot and car traffic.... (you might want to request one in rear of home) but the beds our room were Super comfortable! The room was large and nice with a huge brick fireplace wall, and an updated bath was just a few steps from our door. I would recommend this B&B to all who can manage the streets and hills of Old Quebec... but would NOT recommend it to anyone who has trouble with stairs. (because you need to climb them to get to breakfast also).

It was a wonder bed and breakfast. The room was nice and roomy with a little sitting area in it. Privit bathroom. The breakfast was amazing!!!! Loved that we all sat around the same table verse small Individual tables. The host were very accomdating to my gluten free needs. I am not cilica so cross contamination not and issue for me thus can't speak to that side of things. No issues with the fact neither my husband or I don't speak French. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed in the Bear" room for two nights in October 2017. Very comfortable and quiet. The room has a private bath and is very up to date and clean. The Innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. Our friends had the "Whale" Room which also was very well appointed. Their private bath was down a short hall out side the bedroom. (Take the Bear if you have a choice - IMO.) The location is excellent if you want to be in Old Town Quebec. If you can arrange to get the parking pass before you arrive - do it (you can park in a covered lot close to the B&B for a discounted rate, but you need to arrange and pay for it before you arrive.) We would stay again.

Very cute and comfortable stay in the bear room. Breakfast was amazing every morning! Claude is an excellent cook and accommodated us vegetarians really well. The location is very central, right inside the old town, close to everything. Claude's recommendations were excellent for restaurants and things to do, we did exactly what he said and had a great time. Highly recommend.

My wife and I spent 4 nights here in the Whale room. We came in late, but were able to make accommodations even though it was outside their check in hours. Every morning, they had, juice, followed by a small starter (something like yogurt or scone or smoothie), followed by the main dish (which you were able to choose from two options). The presentation was always really good. Nicole and Claude were helpful if you wanted to know what to do in the city, and it was usually pleasant talking to the other patrons around the breakfast table. The whale room itself was good. The windows open onto the street, but we didn't hear a lot of noise. The one annoying thing is that the bathroom (for the whale room only) was down the hall instead of attached to the room, but they did provide bathrobes to make it easier. The location of the B&B is fantastic as it is right next to a major road, which has a lot of cute restaurants and stores.

We loved our stay here! Our room was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience, and it couldn’t have been better. We felt right at home. The host was friendly and provided good information about the area and where to park. Our absolute favorite part of our stay was the whole breakfast experience!
