We visited Quebec City, Quebec in October 2022 and booked this beautiful little hotel. The hotel rooms are very clean and have comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and it is inexpensive hotel. It is also in a very save location and close to everywhere! we highly recommend everyone to book this beautiful hotel. The hotel has roof facing to the Escalier de la Terrasse park in the back, in the front it’s facing the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac Hotel. we had very beautiful views. ( photos are from our room view )

Great little hotel with in walking distance to every thing. The room was nice and there is a patio on the roof. The internet worked better than most hotels we’ve stayed at. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a little park next door and good view from our room. We’d stay here again next time in Quebec.

The owner sells for the same price: a) the rooms in the main building of the hotel and b) hostel apartment in the separate 1-storey building at the back (with entrance door from the side street, literally hitting the bed). We came late and the key for us was left at the reception. The owner's comment to our concern over the phone in brief was: "Eat it - you should be happy in the center of wonderful Quebec City". According to google maps street view that building used to have completely separate address, than the hotel itself. We didn't expect to have that type of accomidation when were booking "hotel" in the center of Quebec city for CAD$330 per night... If you book, ask, what specific room it will be and what you are paying for!

This is probably, the most comfortable I have ever been in a hotel room. It was not fancy, and the shower is a little old- but the room was very quiet, with good curtains and an extremely comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked well and the location is amazing. Check in was easy and I felt safe with a code-access front door.

During our stay at the Hotel Manoir STE- Genevieve , we were truly impressed by the level of service provided by the dedicated staff. The room we booked located on the 2nd floor facing the bustling main road, and offered a picturesque view that added to the charm of our stay. The room itself was immaculately clean and remarkably quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. One particular incident stands out and highlights the exceptional service we received. We encountered an issue with the shower, as the water was not heating up as expected. In our moment of confusion, we decided to reach out to the hotel staff for assistance. That's when we had the pleasure of interacting with Mr. Mao. Mr. Mao's response was nothing short of remarkable. He promptly arrived at our room to assess the situation. With a keen eye and extensive knowledge, he identified the root cause of our predicament – another tap that needed to be turned on to activate the hot water. It was our oversight that we hadn't noticed this tap initially, but Mr. Mao's professionalism and commitment to customer service shone brightly. We were immensely grateful for his timely assistance and expertise, which resolved our issue efficiently. Mr. Mao's dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction made a lasting impression on us. His exceptional service was a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for its guests.

The location is perfect. Near the castle, opposite the Government Courtyard. The mattresses and sheets were comfortable, there was a mini fridge and coffee machine. Cleaning was very good. Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. Excellent!

Great location, right next to Dufferin Terrace. The room I stayed had a view of Fairmont hotel. Old world charm. You may get a code to enter if coming late. No parking in front (resident only). I used city hall parking which is reasonably close. Short walk to the fort of Quebec as well.

Small hotel in a converted residence. Right on the edge of Old Town, just below the Citadel. Had a small, comfortable room for a solo traveler. Bathroom was a bit small, but it was fine. The first night there was a thunderstorm which knocked out power. This caused some infernal alarm to keep beeping. One of the other guests had to call to get someone to come turn it off (after about 6-7pm there is nobody on premises). Also, the toilet in my room was clogged but called and the guy came within a half hour. He quickly had it all sorted. I wasn’t in the room much but I enjoyed sleeping here.

Unreliable, dishonest and rude We had a reservation made in advance. We booked directly with hotel owner since we had a big group and hoped to get a better rate. We had a confirmation of the reservation with a quoted rate written by email. When we tried to add one more room for my older daughter the guy give us much higher price. When we asked why we cannot get the same rate we have for all other rooms, the guy rise the price for other 6 rooms! When we tried to object, the guy simply CANCELED all our reservations and hand up. This type of service should not be tolerated!

very nice lady at check in, gave us tips for dining, sightseeing. very good rate. rooms adequate. house is 200 years old, so being a bit drafty is to be expected. very quiet and perfect location. i would love to come back in summer! Tiny bathroom and takes awhile for hot water...

Couldn’t ask for a better-priced hotel in this location. One block away from the boardwalk as well as the hill overlooking the city. The staff is very friendly and will help you find parking and check in with ease.

We picked this "manoir" because of its location, and because of the nice reviews we read on Tripadvisor. We were in for a surprise. The asian man at the reception was very friendly, and kept our luggages until the room was ready and offered to put our suitcases in the room when ready. He gave us the key of the room and off we went to visit beautiful Quebec. The positive: the location (very central in the old town, you can walk pretty much to any touristic spot), friendly staff and a comfortable bed. The negative: when we came back, we opened the door of the room, only to be faced with a steep staircase (with no railing). Our room was IN THE BASEMENT. A very tiny window with a AC unit taking most of the space, janky finishes (the coffee bags look straight from Costco, the hangers in the closet were mismatched and straight from a nearby drycleaning shop), veryyy low ceiling with pipes running through it, even smaller celing in the bathroom (my head touched it and I am only 5ft8), no place to put the towels to dry, no room service (we stayed 3 days and they didn't do the beds, or change the towels or anything...) The very negative: there was a lot of noise coming from the street, and there was also a dead cockroach at the bottom of the stairs in the room (see pic) So based on MY experience, I wouldn't recommend this place, and I certainly won't come back there. We managed to make the best of it and to enjoy the beautiful city tho (we tried to spend as less time in the basement as possible). I've only put 2 stars because it's very conveniently located.

Unaccommodating and noncommunicative. They refuse to reschedule my booking despite half of the airports in the continent being affected by unprecedented winter conditions. They also do not pick up the phone or respond to emails. Do not recommend.

Great location in a cozy and very clean place. Very comfortable beds and spacious room. My only complaint is I asked for a room with 3 beds and was confirmed for that room only to get a room with 2 beds. Person receiving us said they can not do anything about it.

My daughter came down with covid and could not make the trip. She contacted the hotel and they would NOT refund her the money. They claim they are a small hotel and can't do it !! In addition her grandfather passed away on Christmas but the hotel didn't care !!

It’s an old house converted into hotel. It definitely has its charm. It’s modern and well equipped in the room - Nespresso machine, cups, glasses, mini fridge and hair dryer. The location is amazing- literally just down the street from Chateau Frontenac. Parking is offsite however, but either options aren’t far at all.

Great location. Cute little house. Lots of stairs to top suites. Has an old stench to it- but expected considering the age of the place. Washroom is very small. Toilet is low and shower head is low. Good for the price.

Very nice little hotel with convenient location. From our room we have a beautiful view of chateau Frontenac! It is easy to get everywhere in the old town from this hotel, but it is also on a quiet and peaceful street so we slept very well at night. Overall very nice experience!

Wonderful inn. Beautiful, gorgeous public areas, etc. We needed three beds. The room on the side of the building has three queens, and they were nice beds. Plenty of room. Room was clean. Newly renovated room. Very quiet (this is the quietest little corner of Old Quebec). The view from our room was of the little street outside.....perfectly adequate. Owner very nice...he let us snoop the next morning and check out other rooms. We did not use the deck above our room, but we checked it out and it is very nice, with four or five tables and nicely decorated. We called the number on the door when we arrived and he gave us the code to get inside to retrieve our key. The next morning the inn was wide open. We parked behind the inn on the dead end street to unload...a parking officer drove up and once we explained he was fine with us staying there for twenty minutes to unload. Then we just drove to city hall and parked, and walked the quarter mile back. VERY limited street parking in front. DO take the five minutes to walk up the hill right behind the inn....you will be at Quebec City’s highest point and the view is breathtaking. We paid $170, very reasonable given tourism was rebounding strongly. Minor quibbles: no trash can, and the separate bedroom needs a bedside lamp. But this place is a gem.

It was a relatively nice and clean bed a breakfast considering that it's 2 stars. Staff was very friendly, wifi worked well, and the stay was relatively comfortable. Note that though there's advantage to being in the city center and walking distance to the city's attractions, it may be a bit noisy at night.
