We just got back from an amazing 3 day stay at La Marquise de Bassano! Véronyc was the perfect host, making sure our stay was relaxing and fun. Her breakfasts were homemade, varied, and delicious. We stayed in the Dovecot Room and took advantage of the balcony for a late day glass of wine, and enjoyed the view of the top of the Chateau Frontenac. The B and B is close to everything, yet the street it is located on is quiet by city standards. Highly recommend staying here!

Very conveniently located. We walked to everywhere we wanted to go in Old Quebec. The breakfasts were wonderful. They serve many different items, from eggs to fruit to pastries. The hosts were very friendly and helpful (make sure to ask them to tell you the story of the parakeet!) My only complaint was that parking was an extra fee, though reasonably close. I do understand that this is common, so we got over it. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved my stay here. Francis (sorry if I misspelled) was the best host. He was awake and prepared for my midnight arrival and answered the phone promptly when my Uber was lost (GPS sent us a street away.) The location is great, and I walked to everything in the area. I traveled alone and felt completely safe and enjoyed every minute of Old Quebec. Breakfast at the B&B was nice and had several options to choose from. I enjoyed talking with Francis and other guests, and I felt so welcomed. The B&B and it’s hosts are true gems 💎 and I hope to visit again one day!

I loved this place! My room was so cute, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast is amazing. If I come back to Quebec City I will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to any of my friends traveling here.

Great location at the top of the old town, nice period property. Rooms all different, decorated as a period property. Room had a comfortable bed. Decor needed some tlc and a good clean. Room cleaning during our stay didn't occur, including towels. Breakfast was really good quality but around one shared table.

Beautiful B & B, very close to everything. You can walk easily to every place. The breakfast was hot and good selection of choices too. The host really pays attention to details to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

Worst B&B ever experienced!!! Ancient horrible mattress (they hosted many guests but did no upgrade to mattress). Comforter had musty smell after being kept in cabinet for long time... One day the house was full of guests, and we experienced power outage... Breakfast was good, but croissant was limited at 1 per person. Definitely not worth the money... Maybe that was the standard condition B&B inside old Quebec city offered? I regret booking for its convenient location. Hilton right outside old city seems a better option....

Stayed here for a quick overnight trip to Quebec and can't say enough good things about it! Veronyc was so very sweet, perfect location, and the breakfast was delicious. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had an enjoyable stay at this B&B in Quebec City. The location was perfect for a great weekend stay in Quebec City. Francis went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. He provided us with tips for the area, helped with our parking needs and served as a fantastic host. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety of fruits, pastries and homemade croissants. It is clear Francis takes pride in his work and we really appreciated his attentiveness throughout our stay. We look forward to visiting again in the future and would not hesitate coming back to La Marquise de Bassano.

Excellent customer service by Veronyc. Clean rooms, I booked rooms 1 and 3 ( Dovecot and Nook). Parking available on site. Delicious variety of options provided for breakfast.

Fantastic location. Nice tradition decor. Great hosts. "Double size bed" so a bit small for a couple.

Beautiful, cute B&B right in the heart of old Quebec. Walking distance to everything in the old city. Veronyc was a wonderful, friendly host and helped us plan where to go and what to see. If I return to Quebec, I will stay here again!

Location ia great. Uniquely decorated rooms were charming. Comfortable beds. Veronica was a fabulous host. Her suggestion to take the ferry south saved us two hours of driving.

Great location, near a lot of sights and things. We were able to walk from here to basically anything in the Old City and around Place Royale. The included breakfast was very good. The room we were in was smaller than a typical hotel room, but not too small. And with so many things nearby to do we didn't spend much time in our room. The building was constructed in the late 1800s, but in good condition. Minor quirks due to the building's age should be expected, but are a fair trade to stay in a historic place like this.

Honestly, one of the best b&b's you will find. The hosts are amazing, the breakfasts were so delicious, and our room was charming, clean and comfortable. Such a unique experience and walking distance to anywhere you might go in Old Quebec. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay in 2017 as the start of our retirement trip. Francois was amazing as our host and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home during our stay. The breakfast he made for us both days was excellent, and he even went out and picked up wine for us one evening, and set up a small table outside in front so we could enjoy the surroundings. We would definitely go back there and would suggest it to anyone!

Great location, very warm cozy atmosphere. Wonderful hosts, a breakfast that both delights the eye & palate and keeps you going through a day of sightseeing. A large room lined with books, with a great bed. We will return.

Our stay was incredible. The rooms are so comfortable. The house is beautiful. The breakfast served every morning has everything you could want and then some. The house is located about two blocks away from the Frontenac and the Funicular, and my partner and I were able to walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go in the old part of the city. If you’re looking for a place to stay, you’ll love it here. My partner and I loved it so much that we kept extending our trip, finally staying eight days. We can’t wait to stay here again.

An absolutely amazing B & B. The hosts were lovely and extremely accommodating, with a wood fireplace on the main floor and clean, cozy rooms upstairs. The whole house has a calming and warm atmosphere from the decorations to the furniture. Only a few minutes walk from the centre of Old Quebec, our hosts gave us plenty of recommendations of good local food stops and affordable experiences that we're off the beaten track. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in Old Quebec!
