Quaint, cute, affordable! Lovely time chatting with Guitta and the other guests in English and French. Breakfast each morning was a croissant, fruit bowl, coffee, and a choice of main (french toast, eggs any style and toast, omelette, crepes, or pancakes). We stayed 6 nights and are excited to visit again in another season. The wifi was pretty poor in our room but why would I be on wifi on vacation?

We had the most wonderful time at Guittas B&B 🤗 Our room was beautiful and equipped with anything we could ever need. It was easy to find the house and the free parking was such luxury in the middle of old Québec City. The old house is so gorgeous and comfortable, and was beautifully decorated with artwork and collectibles. We enjoyed the delicious daily breakfast and chats with other guests. The atmosphere was very cozy, welcoming and personal. We had seconds of the coffee every day as it was so tasty 🌞 Would recommend anyone to stay here!

This is the best place to stay.....Guitta and her daughters took great care of us by offering cozy clean rooms, a delicious breakfast each morning with great coffee, and they offered great advice on what to do in the old city. It was a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back. The inn was in a perfect location to explore on foot all the great sites Old Quebec had to offer!!!! The warmth and welcoming atmosphere made our trip extra special!!

Lovely cosy home close to all the main attractions . The decor is absolutely classy the breakfast was the highlight- especially sharing the table with other travelers and getting to hear them

The Maison James Thompson was great. Guitta was a super host, the location was perfect, the breakfasts were just right and Guitta was a great hostess.

We had a wonderful winter stay at the James Thompson House B&B! The location is outstanding, Guitta was lovely, and the house was so cozy and warm on the coldest weekend of the year. Parking on site was extremely convenient, which was especially helpful given the show.

Great service and cozy room (and house in general). One of the few lodgings in old Quebec that includes parking and close to everything. Breakfast was also excellent with fresh fruit, pastries and a selection of main dishes. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Québec city.

Lovely people Guitta and Greg and family. Lovely historic house, well maintained. Breakfast was always a treat and meeting and speaking with the other guests was a delightful way to start each day. Very friendly and comfortable environment and perfectly situated in the old section of Quebec City. Glad we stayed here and I recommend it highly to each and all.

I stayed there some 20 years ago and when my sisters visited Canada in October, I booked a room there again. We loved it. Guitta and Greg were great hosts. The breakfast was awesome. The house is well maintained..I will go to Quebec city and stay there again in the future.

This is a gem of a place! Built in 1793 and gorgeous in its original beauty! We stayed 3 nights up on the 3rd floor and loved every little creek this house made! So many people had walked those floors before us, allowing the journey in our minds to the past 200 years! Guitta is a wonderful host! This huge home, perfectly situated in the heart of old Quebec, is very clean and the linens on the bed were beautifully crafted with embroidery and elegance of the time period. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and extra linens and the private en-suite washroom was perfect with its claw foot tub! Adding a wonderful breakfast every morning, Guitta is a talented chef, shared interesting stories and her own beautiful art work is on display throughout her home! Thank you for a memorable 25th Wedding Anniversary, we will definitely be back and hope to send others to you as well.

Clean hotel and nice breakfast. Free parking was appreciated. Had a top floor room, which was dark, with no view, but mostly we were out enjoying the city. Claw foot tub with handheld shower. Not that great for my tall husband but overall everything was good. Convenient location.

My family and I stayed with Guitta for 4 nights during Christmas time. We really enjoyed her company while having a delicious breakfast that she prepared. The house was in a perfect location- close to everything. We will definitely be back for another visit. Parking was also included.

I've been to Quebec City several times, but this was my favorite place to stay. Guitta was a friendly, helpful hostess. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Free parking was a big plus, too - the B&B is convenient to everything! I can't wait for my next visit.
