We liked it. Great place to spend a rainy day. You can buy tickets online to reduce your wait in the lines.

You are in a heritage home where you can learn to appreciate Canada's story. Amazing pieces from hundred of years ago. The short film facing Champlain was also a neat way to learn about history.

Fantastic museum for kids and adults. They have a permanent exhibit that has about 50 costumes for young and old with scenes from story books so the family can dress as a witch, king, princess, knight, big bad wolf, soldier, little red riding hood, etc... and act out a scene. I could not get my wife nor kids out of the exhibit. The temporary exhibit, The Magic of the Egyptians, was spellbinding and geared to adults but my kids were entranced with the stories behind the artifacts. Highly recommended. We also saved 20% on admission as we visited the aquarium a few days before and presented them the receipt.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Though small in size the exhibits are informative, well designed, and give a good overview of the local history and culture.

They have great, hands on and interactive exposition. It it surprisingly intertaining, even for those of you who have kids. I personnaly fell in the love with the exposition "bibliothèque la nuit" (library at night).

Great Museum and extremely family friendly. Free coat check is always a plus when travelling with children and especially during the Winter months. I have bought our family memberships for the past two years and have not been disappointed with their expositions, yet. I recommend bringing a lunch for you and your gang, unless a $10 salad or sandwich is of interest to you. There are microwaves downstairs and you can heat up your lunch for the family without any hassles. I do recommend stopping by during the summer as their terrace is really quite enjoyable on a nice sunny day.

Visited the wonderful cat and dog exhibit here last weekend. Had lots of fun and learned a lot about both dogs and cats. The only reason this review is 4 stars and not 5 is because although most things were also in English and French, some were just in French. There were two videos that you could watch that only had a french option. This upset me as they seemed like very interesting topics that I would like to know more about. The pricing was pretty decent too. If you are under 25, I believe, it is only $10.

Great history. Wish it were larger. The 3d movie is very well done.

Searching for Champlain is the worst film ever made about anything anywhere ever. 30 minutes of your life wasted, plus a rude staff, the bits of broken crockery aren't worth it either, throw your money on the ground, you'd be better off. Only a government entity could get away with such tripe.
