We stayed 4 days June 2022. The staff is very friendly and the park is very well maintained. Not a piece of litter or unkempt grass anywhere. Good laundry in office.. Most sites at the lower end are occupied by seasonal renters who keep their sites spotless. We stayed in Site 110 near the top of the hill - very quiet. Pool immaculate and solar heated. Very reliable shuttle can take you to the heart of Quebec City and back which is great for those without a car. There is also a bike path about 5 km away that goes into the city. This would be

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to this campground July 1st- July 3rd. We're from the states (Texas) and since the reviews were overall positive, we decided to give it a try. We're so glad we did. The customer service was excellent (office staff is bilingual English/French). There is small store, restaurant, and pool on site. The pool, restrooms and showers were clean. The water in the shower was nice and hot. They also offer shuttle service to Old Town Quebec. It's not free, but worth every cent to avoid the traffic and the need to find a parking space (not free). The driver was kind, punctual and an excellent driver. Our campsite was clean and well maintained. It was quite private and there was no noise after 10 PM. It also had a nice firepit (firewood available in store). Also, this campground is excellent for families with children since it has 2 playgrounds and a space for kiddos to play soccer, tag, frisbee etc. It's incredible that this gem is only about 15 minutes from Old Town. We would definitely stay here again.

This is the cleanest, quietest urban campground we've ever stayed in. There is a shuttle three times a day to Quebec City which was the primary draw for us. (Parking in Quebec City can be a nightmare.) The staff are super friendly and helpful. The lots with electric+ service are small, which is to be expected in an urban, hilly area. The lots are also tiered, so they are unexpectedly level, but bring your levelers if you need a flat bed. There are trees, playgrounds for the kids, indoor entertainment for rainy days, a pool, DVDs and books to borrow. They have thought of everything to make a camping stay enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed 2 nights at Camping de la Joie, and it was a great experience. We were given a site at the top of the campground, and enjoyed the views. The camp grounds were clean and well maintained, and the washrooms/showers were spotless the entire time. The service was perfect. They offered a lot of tourist information in the office. We did get some time to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. We took advantage of the shuttle service to Old Quebec City, which saved us the hassle of trying to navigate the summer road construction and finding parking, and we were dropped off right back at our camp site! It's a great extra feature.

We stayed here one night, lot 130. First the pros: - It was really organized. They gave us a card to come and go through the gate freely, 24 hours a day, and everything was pretty clearly laid out. - The campground overall is nice. The pool seems nice, but we didn't get to use it because it was already closed when we arrived. - Really close to the city, the aquarium, and the falls. Cons: - The sites with electricity and water are crammed together. There was nothing between us and the two lots beside us but a small row of rocks. No privacy whatsoever. And when the people from the lots behind us arrived, their headlights shone straight into our tent at eye level. Babies crying at 5AM. People blowing their noses and coughing. We were close enough to so many people that we could hear it all. And when we woke up early, it was pretty stressful to try not to bother our sleeping neighbours. Camping gear isn't quiet. - Sand on the campsite. It gets everywhere. It's such a weird medium to camp on in the woods. Pegging the tent wasn't too hard though. - Spigot on our lot drained into our tent area. - Bathroom cleanliness is spotty. The first evening, the bathrooms were really clean. The next morning, however... I guess campers are especially gross? I don't know. - But the worst part, I think, was the smoke. Because we're all crammed together, the smoke gets out of hand. We didn't have a camp fire, but we left smelling like we lived in one. And in spite of the curfew being 11, breezes brought thick smoke into our tent well past midnight.

Absolutely stunning place to camp with your travel trailer! We met Dominique and Karen, who were wonderful hosts. There isn't online reservations, but sending a request online or calling them is very easy. All of the spots are great, so you don't really need to care about which spot you're assigned. There are two small playgrounds for kids and a pool. There is also fantastic hiking trails right around the campsite. It's also extremely close to Old QuĂŠbec City, only about 20 minutes! Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic place to camp while you visit QuĂŠbec! The staff are excellent (can speak English) and very friendly. The campground feels like you're in the forest and there are some small playgrounds for kids. Totally great experience here!

The camping site is well maintained, toilets are kept clean regularly and the reception staff was very nice, a little louder than other spots but it was alright at night. There's a pool and some other games around it. The park Jacques Cartier is close enough to go during the day too

Nice campground with very nice staff that speak greta English, especially a young lady, Emily?, was very patient with the questions we had and the many changes in our plans. Pool is nice on a hot day. Place is very clean, only two down sides are the low toilet seats and the fact the campground is built on a steep hill making the walk up and down to the store and pool a bit hard, especially for those with mobility challenges. Overall a great place and close to down town (they have a shuttle service for a fee, $25 one way for a family of 4).

I stayed for two nights in July. Very nice campground. Most campgrounds are open fields with rows of RVs. This one was nestled into a hillside with lots of trees and privacy. Really lovely grounds, clean washrooms, dishwashing sink, WiFi available throughout the campground. The only thing to be aware of is that the property is on a steep hillside so could be a concern for older or heavier rigs. Our manual transmission VW Westfalia made it up the hill with no issues. The shuttle to Old Quebec City is well worth it!

Good flat sites even tho the park is on side of a hill. Many seasonal campers. Pretty quiet, clean and some sites are doubles, with two sets of hook ups. I guess depending on your size and configuration deciding how you position your rig. Did not use facilities so won't comment. Store was nice and coffee type cafe in it was convenient. They do have a shuttle to Quebec City which was $40 round trip for 2 people. We drove into town and found parking outside ($12/on street 5 hours) and inside ($18 /5 hours) the fort. Was about 20 minutes from Quebec during non rush hour.

Nice park. Park staff super friendly and helpful. Because we came off season we were able to change out site to full hook up. Some site are pretty tight esp up the hill. It’s quite here. Grocery store and pet store are basically just around the corner. The wifi connection didn’t worked at all that’s why we didn’t get charged. Riding bikes in the park is not good because of the location.

What a great campground. All of the staff members were very helpful and kind. The shuttle availability was wonderful! Thanks to the staff for their commitment to providing a positive experience!

Very nice campground! Super clean, great pool, and sites were a comfortable size. Would give 5 stars except for us (Senior's), the campground is on s steep hill, so walking to the pool or restaurant was too difficult for us. Would definitely stay again .

Beautiful campsites, we were here just now during fall! All uphill, so enjoy the walk! Facilities were in excellent condition. Staff were bilingual and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

The staff were very friendly and it was great to have the takeaway right there. We only had one meal in the week we stayed but it was very good. Even had a vegetarian meal. We stayed in an outside RV site and it was quiet even thought it was were everyone comes and goes. The laundry was good. We enjoyed our stay

Will definitely visit again! Great proximity to Quebec City, friendly, bilingual staff and welcoming campers. Didn’t feel any French - English tension here from staff or other campers. Clean facilities, nice sites. Will return!

Tomorrow we leave our campsite at "Camping de La Joie" after spending 3 nights here. The setting is perfect, we are surrounded by beautiful trees all changing colour. The RV park, the toilets and showers, pool, laundry are are all clean, you could not complain. The service at the front desk and the shuttle service to the city is faultless. There is no problem with communicating in english and we have been made to feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place! Would give 5 stars if it weren't for very narrow streets. Lots are narrow and tightly packed. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The place is clean and well maintain. Quiet and calm area but still close to downtown. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely go back.

Excellent camping…staff was amazing sites are clean all the amenities tip top shape including the heated pool…depending on what you are pulling some sites would be pretty tight…entire campground is on a giant hill…really hard to bike around with kids…stones throw to the city!

I was pleasantly surprised by this camping site! Not too big. Great sites with many fully serviced. We encountered very nice and friendly neighbours as well. We will definitely consider returning.

We stayed for 7 nights while exploring the Quebec City area. The campsite was clean and freshly raked prior to our arrival. The sandy ground made for a bit of a mess in our tent, but was much appreciated over the gravel we saw in some of the sites. The staff were very helpful and spoke English and French. The pool was fabulous and our kids went almost every day! They had some pool noodles and water toys there, so we didn’t need to cart ours around. The sites are well treed but very close together, so it got a little loud at times. Everyone seemed to try to keep respectful most of the time, but you will not have a lot of privacy. Make sure to keep your food and garbage secured away. It is close to the city, but you are definitely in the woods. We saw skunks several times, and they were not shy about wandering onto campsites! Overall a great stay and we will book again if we are back in the area :)

Staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. We ran into issues with our solar panels and needed to change sites a couple of times (once for a less shaded site and then again to have hook up) and staff were extremely helpful with this. Bathrooms were clean and private. Location was perfect for us with the activities we had planned. Would definitely stay again.

👍 Probably the best place which is close to the city and has a taste of nature at the same time. Only thing bothers me is that yard on the side which caused a lot of dust, and blown on to the trail by wind. Well, I guess they don’t run year round.

I had to sit there with butt freezing and clothes wet for 1 hour dog sledding because they didn’t have a clean one. 3. ‘puppy village’ has 2 puppies and don’t bother buying the package because it’s free to public and everyone comes in and out 4. 👍 Nice place, very clean showers and toilets. The tent section has 2 electrical outlets near the toilet, handy for charging phones and tablets. The only weak point is that there is no nearby tap for water. Restaurant seems very good, high traffic. Very friendly staff.
