We absolutely loved this historical tour of Quebec! Our tour guide, Carole, was the most upbeat, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide we’ve ever had. She made us feel like we were transported into the late 1800s Quebec. We so enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour tour (she gave us an extra half hour). Highly recommend!

Such an amazing guide. Jocelyn gave us an intimate tour of Quebec City heritage and history filled with personal experiences. Truly went above and beyond to communicate everything about Quebec City to see and do!

Our guide, Helene, was excellent -- energetic, passionate and she knew what she was talking about. The tour did not touch on the original people of the land or in their relationships with the settlers. This is a significant missing piece not only because it is integral to the story, but we can't keep ignoring the indigenous people. Otherwise I learned a lot and enjoyed the walking tour.

A superb tour that is an ideal way to start your visit to Quebec City. Fabulous guide who knew so much about the history of the area and had relatives who were part of it. Did some quieter parts of town along with the most popular places. Tour was 2.5 hours long and did the old town of Quebec. Fascinating history and architecture.

Pro tip: You need to go inside to get your sticker to start the tour. Request for business: Please consider offering a way to tip via credit card. My tour of Quebec with Marie as our guide was truly an enlightening experience. She possesses a deep and impressive knowledge of the local culture, religion, history, and daily life of the region, making her narrative both captivating and educational. Throughout the tour, Marie intertwined historical facts with interesting anecdotes and personal experiences, offering a holistic view of Quebec. It was evident that she has a genuine passion for sharing her city's rich heritage and its multifaceted stories. What stood out to me was her ability to weave religion and its influence on the culture and architecture of Quebec. I came away with a newfound appreciation for the intricate tapestry that is Quebec's history, and how it has shaped the province's modern identity. And as a delightful finishing touch, Marie handed out little cards at the end of our tour that listed nearby restaurants and local highlights. This thoughtful gesture showed her dedication to ensuring visitors have the best experience possible in Quebec, even beyond the confines of the tour. I highly recommend Marie for anyone wishing to delve deeper into the soul of Quebec. She is not just a tour guide, but a storyteller, a historian, and a proud representative of her beautiful city.

Our tour around the center of Quebec was impressively well done by Marie Blais. We even went back to admire the paintings in the Ursuline chapel because she recommended it.

It was our first time in Quebec! The walking tour was enjoyable even during winter (but do dress warmly including wearing mittens and touque)! Christian was a fantastic guide who had so much knowledge and passion about Quebec’s history & culture to share. He makes learning interesting, funny and not boring at all. We learnt about the architecture, political history, and even places to dine at / visit! Highly recommend the walking tour to better appreciate Quebec!

We very much enjoyed the Old Quebec City walking tour with Anne in September. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. Her comments had my husband rethinking what he had learned in his university history classes. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this walking tour around old Quebec. Our tour guide, Francis, took us on a historical journal that covered almost 300 years filled with interesting stories. We liked Quebec but after the tour we fell deeply in love with it! Thank you!

We went on this tour in the end of November! It was cold but our tour guide, Francis, made sure that we were always moving around and stayed safe around any icy stairs! It was very fun and super informative. Francis was very energetic and passionate about the history of the city (and funny)! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Quebec City for the first time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Quebec City. Our guide was Robert and he made the whole experience a joyful and memorable one. He was first and foremost incredibly knowledgeable about history. But not only that, he was also extremely witty. He was able to quickly make connections between pieces of Quebec history and where us, the participants, are from, be it Minnesota, Chicago, or Calgary. This way, everyone in the group felt welcomed and engaged. We also laughed a lot and learned a lot about Quebec’s history. Highly recommend this tour company and our guide Robert!

What a delight! I’m a Florida resident and left a warm 80 degrees to land on 11 degree weather and thought it would be a great idea to do a walking tour 😂. No regrets whatsoever. Richard was our guide and he was super informative, funny and took care to make sure we weren’t too cold. He gave a thorough history of the area sprinkled with interesting facts to keep us entertained. It was a lovely way to spend the day after Christmas. Tour started on time, the meeting place at the Tourist Info center at Rue St. Anne is perfect and easy to get to (good place to stay warm and wait too). You could tell Richard loved his town in the way he shared the info with us and it’s always so nice to hear that in a tour guide. Would recommend hands down. I loved old town Quebec and will definitely be back in the next few yrs.

Your tour guide makes or breaks your walking tour. Our guide Michel was top notch. He was born and raised in Quebec City. So too were his parents. He had had a long history of guiding people around the city; and it showed with how he deftly navigated the area and wove in personal stories with humor. Michel was a fount of knowledge. He kept us occupied and immersed in the rich history of the region for 2 solid hours. He covered the gamut of how the place came to be, this battle between the French and the English, preservation of old Quebec City, various historical structures and a whole lot more. Given the hilly nature of the city you will see a lot of elevation change on this walk including navigating stairs. I recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of the region.

A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! My Mom and I are big into history, and take history tours wherever we visit. And this tour exceeded our expectation! Our tour guide, Christian, could not have been any more wonderful - his love and appreciation for Old Quebec City shined bright throughout the tour. Be prepared to walk the hills, but don't miss out on this tour!

Our walking tour with Yves was one of the best walking tours we have ever experienced. Yves was friendly, insightful and funny, he answered all our questions with his in depth and detailed knowledge of the city. The tour was well paced and covered many important historical sites in Old Town Quebec. After the tour, we all had a much better appreciation of Quebec City and it improved our enjoyment of the city after seeing it in a new light. Cannot recommend Yves highly enough.

Our guide, Michael, did a great job and informed us of the Quebec's economic, cultural, military, religious and architectural history. He did this while the Grand Prix Quebec cyclists, support vehicles, police motorcycles and helicopters where whizzing through the city. Who knew the city would be so alive when we booked weeks ago. Michael skillfully navigated the closed streets and throngs of cycling fans as we walked through the city. This tour was certainly a highlight of our visit to Quebec. Well done!

We only had eight hours to spend in Quebec and took the Grand Tour to get a quick sampling of city architecture and culture. Our tour guide, Michael, was excellent with an impressive breadth of knowledge about Quebec’s history. There was an ever-present enthusiasm in his voice that exuded his love for the city he now calls home that made others on his tour appreciate it even more as well. Michael was in no hurry to rush through the tour since those in our group didn’t have dependencies that would be impacted; so, what was scheduled to be 2 hours lasted 40 minutes longer, which was a pleasant surprise! Tours Voir QuĂ©bec likes to keep the size of the tours small (I believe 12 at max) so that it's easier to interact with the guides and focus more on topics of interest to the group. We came away feeling enriched from the experience, learning much more than we ever knew prior to the tour and wanting to learn more once we got home. I highly recommend taking one of their tours if you get an opportunity...it will be a great experience at a value price.

The most important step for the first time traveler to Quebec City would be to hire these guys for a city tour. Outstanding knowledge, native citizens, with great experience guiding folks through their city. Restaurant lists, with wonderful recommendations, that we used with much success. Revisited Ann's recommended vista's, and streets with so much history. Our appreciation for the city grew. We could easily extend a week or two wondering the inner walled city as well as the walking trails outside along the Saint Charles River. We really enjoyed the personal tour we had. Booking was effortless.

Highly recommend this walking tour! Helene was our guide - she was so friendly, informative, and energetic. She showed us so many of the city’s sights and we learned a lot. Beautiful city and we’re thrilled that Helene introduced it to us. Thank you!

Thank you so much to Jacques B. You are a very engaging story teller and fabulous historian. Our 11 year old boys came away from your guided tour with a passionate interest in history. They were able to recall many facts because of your wonderful way of delivering the information. I highly recommend this tour for both its value ($65 For a family of 4) as well as for the appreciation it gives you for where you are. We will do it again on our next visit for a completely different and memorable experience. Merci.

My family and I took the private walking tour of Quebec City this morning with Janet. She was the ultimate tour guide! She was full of interesting knowledge and had no issues with slowing down at certain points of the tour that my family enjoyed more than others. Our tour was supposed to end at 1, but we went over an hour more and we were very grateful for her patience. She was excited to show us her beautiful city, even in the freezing cold, and she couldn't be more accommodating. Furthermore, we really loved how this company has their guides meet you at your hotel, so the tour really starts as soon as you get to your lobby. Fantastic experience and would definitely go with Voir Quebec again!

Such a delightful and educational experience. I was here in May for a travel writing conference and we decided to do this tour the day we arrived. Over the course of the day on the Quebec City Food Tour with Tours Voir Quebec we sampled poutine, we tasted wine and a scrumptious pate and maple candy as well as buckwheat crepes - who knew that buckwheat was traditional way to make crepes? I didn't. We covered a lot of territory and the guide was positive and extremely knowledgeable. Loved this tour and highly recommend it. It seemed to combine history of Quebec City with architecture and food of course. Well worth the time!

Passionate and informative guide, amazing experience. Anne was my guide this morning and it was a small sized group, didn’t feel too “touristy”. Anne toured us around the upper and lower sections, showing us hidden gems of history, religion and local folk stories. Showed us amazing photo opportunities too. A local herself but fluent English, very clearly passionate about her job and Quebec City. Walk was very easy, check in was very easy. Just inside the information centre to the left. A tour for everyone.

We took 2 walking tours including the Louise Penny "Bury Your Dead Tour." Most enjoyable! We saw the Morrin Centre which was key to the novel

Guide (Jim) was very good and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Give’s a lot of history — some of the info you will never remember but I would recommend if you are there a short time and want to see the highlights. We visited via cruise ship and meeting place was only 10 minute walk and price was less than half of what Holland America was charging.

What a wonderful tour we had with this lady. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Love the way she sprinkled personal family history and stories. Two hours went by very fast! If you wish to learn the history and architecture of the city I would recommend taking this tour.
