A great, inexpensive dinner! Just give this place a try, I guarantee you will like it. Delicious food, great choices, and a really nice table hote deal. You get a free dessert and more, with an appetizer and entree purchase. What an easy place to enjoy!

Nice looking, but very average tasting food unfortunately. Service was fine, but nothing special on my visit. One dish suitable for vegans; the falafel. I would recommend Bachir's, which is below this restaurant, instead.

Visited Summer 2020. All of the food was incredibly delicious. Great presentation too. Luckily, I was with a friend who was able to translate the menu from French to English. Would highly recommend! C'est très délicieux.

A different taste in Quebec. Very nice mediterran ( Tunisian ) restaurant with friendly staff and good tasting food. Try the kefta couscous!

Great spot for lunch in downtown Quebec City! Had the couscous and chicken, and the Tunisian salad. Both were wonderful and great representations of Mediterranean cuisine. Staff was incredibly helpful, especially as the menu being in French posed a challenge to read. The waiter was more than happy to assist us and assured that our cups were always full!

Oh, Bistro La Goulette in Quebec City, you really put us through an adventure! We decided to embark on an impromptu pilgrimage from Old Quebec, thinking we'd waltz in for a meal. But, oh no, the gatekeeper at the entrance declared, "No admission without reservations." We pleaded our case, explaining our epic journey on foot, and this fine gatekeeper, bless his heart, finally granted us a table after a suspenseful 25-minute wait. Now, on to the culinary escapade! I fancied myself some Tunisian soup, and the moment that bowl touched my lips, I felt like I'd just found the gastronomic holy grail. Seriously, folks, this soup was so outstanding that I considered pouring it into a flask and carrying it around as a daily pick-me-up. My wife, always the adventurous one, went for the Lebanese appetizer, and it arrived fresh and yummy, just as you'd expect. However, let's get to the main act, the lamb shank tajine. It had the right balance of flavors; not an overdose of cinnamon, which was a blessing in disguise. But oh dear, the potato in that tajine seemed to have a stubborn resistance to cooking thoroughly. It was like the potato was staging a culinary rebellion. And, to be honest, the other veggies in the tajine were also playing hard to get when it came to being fully cooked. All in all, our evening at Bistro La Goulette was an unforgettable rollercoaster ride. From the "no reservations" standoff to the culinary surprises, it was an experience we won't soon forget. So if you're ready for an adventure in both dining and diplomacy, Bistro La Goulette is the place to be. Just be sure to bring your appetite and your persuasive skills!

Wife and I had dinner here on our last day in Québec City! Wonderful experience. We ordered Discovery Platter. The flavors and texture of each of the dishes are both distinctive and bold. The platter covers dishes from Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon and Mediterranean in general with some french influence. We liked the music. Service was quick and pleasant. The location is central. The platter had big portions and was a great value!

We spent five days in Quebec city for Christmas and ate here on Christmas Day. The food was absolutely phenomenal! One thing to note is the chef is the same one who serves you. This man deserves a raise.

A bit expensive comparing with what we got and the service is not perfect

Nice place with authentic decoration. Waiter didn’t speak English but we managed to communicate somehow. Friendly staff. Washrooms are clean. Overall it was pleasant experience but I don’t really like the food because of spices they use.

Haven't had tagine in a long time, so went here for takeout based on the reviews. Tagine with kofta - only two koftas and my kid found them to be a bit dry. Decent amount of fresh veggies. Couscous with merguez - 3 fairly small merguez, could have wished for a bit more veg. Salade tunisienne - very small for $9. Definitely only appetizer size. Taste was good, but I was left quite hungry. All in all, decent food, but we expected more food (and more meat in the couscous and tagine) for the price. Friendly service, and the complementary mint tea while waiting for the takeout to be ready was a nice touch.

Unmatched flavor. Everything was seasoned perfectly. One of the best places I've eaten at in Quebec.

Excellent food and service. Reasonable prices for generous portions of delicious cuisine. Highly recommend the salad tunisienne. Kefta tajines ( Tunisia meatball stew) was the best main course I had during my stay in Quebec city. Cannot recommend restaurant more.

My mom and I ordered the Discovery Platter for 2 and it was spectacular! Delicious flavors, lots of meat and vegetables, and portions were large enough for us to have a full leftover container. I LOVED the custard dessert! Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back.

We really enjoyed our meal here. We got the stew with lamb shank and another one with shrimp and scallop. The lamb version was excellent. I recommend the scallop over the shrimp version. The vegetables were incredibly fresh. The baklawa was warm and tasty. The restaurant was very clean, which is very important to me. Qays was a great host, gracious and jolly. We had an enjoyable experience with a hearty meal, it was like home cooked. I highly recommend this place and would return if ever in QC again. 💯

Excellent food, great service, best baklava. So sooo good.

5 star rating secured by the delicious complimentary baklava!! Lovely little bistro. I chose the cous cous with falafel, which was tasty and also felt quite healthy with a good amount of fresh veg. I also had the mint tea, which was a black tea of sorts to which I think they had added rose water and mint - whatever it was, it worked well! The restaurant was quite quiet on a Tuesday night, but it's small so worth booking. They also do a $25 early dinner menu on a Tuesday and Wednesday night, which I didn't order from but which is very good value if wanting meat for main course.

My son and I were visiting from South Carolina. This was so good I clapped for the chef. We had the grape vines and Moroccan Tajins. It was out of this world!

We found this restaurant on our last night in Quebec City, and it was the highlight of our trip! We ordered the platter for two - a generous amount of fresh, delicious food. Our service was excellent, and the atmosphere friendly and inviting. Next time we’re in Quebec City, we’re surely coming back here!

Some of the worst service we have ever experienced. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, and yet the greeting was surly and unwelcoming. The server was very reluctant to get up and leave their phone. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived all at once and was dropped on the table. The server didn't check on us throughout the meal. Again, the phone was the priority. When I asked for the cheque, I was told to come to the counter. I'm not sure of the origins of the positive reviews, but I suspect they are manufactured. The food was average. My advice? Stay away. There are many, many better options.

An incredible experience. We took the discovery meal for 2 and really enjoyed the food. My recommendations are the baba ghanoush and the bouza. I am personally not a fan of eggplant, but the texture is exquisite. The service was more than great. I drink a lot of water, but my glass was never empty. An hidden gem in my opinion.
