A gem hidden among the many ordinary galleries in old Town Quebec. An old school artist, trained in Paris, Alain Lacaze offers fine paintings and etchings at reasonable prices. I had a hard time narrowing the selection down to three fine etchings.

I came here and purchased a beautiful copper etching. Alain signed the back of the print for me. They explained the copper etching process. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend visiting the gallery!

A gallery with such beautiful works of art! We purchased "L'IMPERTINENT," a painting of two boys on a street in New York. This picture presently hangs prominately and proudly in our home.

I just recently purchased my third painting from artist Alain Lacaze. The first two are impressionist scenes from romantic Quebec City. On a recent visit to Quebec, we noticed that Mr. Lacaze also did portraits and in particular portraits of violinists. It turns out my dad played violin and so I asked Mr. Lacaze if he could do a portrait of my dad playing the violin. I provided a few pictures from a family album but asked if he could do not a formal portrait but an impressionist version somewhat look alike but not a formal portrait. He agreed and the result is outstanding. The emotion captured is exactly as I described...while my dad passed away many years ago, it's like having him in the family room...forever!

The painter Alain LACAZE is a wonderful artist whose art is similar to those of a the great French Impressionists. I love his work all in delicacy and nuance. His color palette is subtle and delicate : fabulous !

My father recently visited the gallery during his stay in Quebec and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. He was warmly welcomed by both Barbara and Alain and was so impressed by Alain's artwork, leading him to purchase two beautiful oil paintings which now hang in our family room here in England. He looks forward to his next trip to Quebec and the gallery where I hope to join him! Thank you very much, Lily Kirkby (and Tony)

We visited the gallery in October, 2018. We were treated to an informative tour of the studio by both Alain and Barbara. Having been impressed by Alain's studied hand, we purchased a beautiful painting, which we continue to enjoy and which is surely destined to become a treasured family heirloom. We thoroughly recommend a visit to the gallery to enjoy not only the amazing artwork but also two wonderfully engaging people.

We visited the gallery in 2016 and our experience with Barbara and Monsieur Lacaze has been exceptional. We were not familiar with his work prior to our visit but were attracted immediately to Monsieur Lacaze’s nuanced approach to light and colour. Our dealings with the gallery have been positive in every respect. Monsieur Lacaze is an exceptionally talented artist and his talent may be matched only by the gallery’s commitment to its patrons. Felicitations!

Mr Lacaze was so nice and welcoming as was Barbara. We left knowing we had made two wonderful friends. He had many works of art displayed in his gallery that I loved. I am fond of artwork of children and purchased an etching, "A Bicyclette" and an oil painting "The Ballerina." They are beautiful and I will enjoy them for many years to come and they will always remind me of our visit to Quebec City and Mr. Lacaze's gallery.

We visited the gallery in the summer of 2018 with friends who were already Alain Lacaze collectors and who added to their collection during the trip. I am an Ottawa, Ontario artist and really appreciated the tour of Alain's studio and our discussion. Merci encore un fois, Alain, pour votre hospitalité.

I really liked this gallery by the painter Alain Lacaze. I bought him an engraving full of mystery and which makes me dream. It is a gallery that is worth the detour as much for the impressionist works which bear witness to the artist's experience as for the warm welcome.
