An enjoyable meal, stopped in for a creme brûlée and a glass of red. Service was prompt, the hostess was very kind, and the dessert was divine. My only qualm was that there was a table of intoxicated individuals who were yelling and FaceTiming family members telling them every detail of their trip for the entire outdoor guests to hear. Otherwise, would certainly come back! The wine and creme brûlée were delicious. Also, Camille (my server) was great.

Just minutes away from Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Spacious and clean. Nice vibe and ambiance. Excellent customer service and staff was very friendly. Our server Charles was verity attentive and welcoming. Food served warm but a bit slow, exquisite taste & nice presentation Portion was decent but in a bit pricy. We were here to celebrate our daughter’s 9th birthday and we all had a great time.

Excellent off the street choice. Best ribs we’ve eaten in Canada in fact. Francis was an excellent host. Merci !

An alright meal, but GREATLY over-priced. Note: we sat on the patio, and so the experience may be different inside. The tables/chairs/outdoor décor did not match the price point on our bill. Outside felt a bit “cheap” compared to many of the other patios we passed. It’s hard writing a review for this, because our meal here was alright, but not for what it cost us. We had the brie to start, but had to wait on cutlery, and then were given paper napkin wrapped cutlery. The brie was delicious, but having the warm, melted brie on a (now) wilted lettuce garnish was weird. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay too – it was good, at $50 for the bottle, we were happy with it. We each had the steak frites, but you could tell they were frozen fries (and if they weren’t frozen, then something went really wrong). The steak was good too – but it came on a round plate, just a little hunk of meat & fries – presentation was absolutely lacking. It didn’t feel overly appetizing when it arrived. We didn’t have any dessert. Our server was very nice, but not overly knowledgeable. I asked what was in the sauce that came with the steak and he didn’t know. We ordered a glass of red wine to enjoy with the steak, and he brought a class of white wine as he thought we ordered a Sauvignon, not a Cabernet Sauvignon. By the time the red ended up coming, we were already done our steaks. So, yes, good meal, but for the price which was about $180 after all was said and done, we could have enjoyed one of the much nicer looking patios, which would add to the experience. We wouldn’t come back.

We were very disappointed with our experience. The service was extremely long and we had 4 young children with us. Our server was very nice, but we had to make our requests several time before we got what we asked for (for example a high chair). He forgot to punch in one of our orders and our party member had to wait for his plate. To compensate, the server offered free drinks, but they were very diluted. The food was bland, it lacked taste. We were very dissatisfied, especially for the price we paid. We definitely will not recommend this restaurant.

Loved my visit here! The selection on the menu is great, everyone at our table enjoyed what they got (poutine, burgers, soup and pork Tomahawk). Water was plentiful, pitcher after pitcher, wine was reasonably priced ($50 bottles), and the atmosphere on the patio was great (nice music, nice decor inside and out). I'd come back!

September 9th 2021. This was our last night in Quebec and we are on our honeymoon. We decided to try the Murmur the menu looked appealing. We ordered two Ceasers to start which were watery and no flavour. My wife ordered shrimp and scallops over risotto and I had a steak and salad. Well my wife’s meal looked good but but the shrimp we’re tasteless and the scallops were rubbery. The risotto had a taste of vinaigrette in it???? Not sure what took place there. My meal was just as bad. Being Canadian my steak was no bigger then a toonie and cooked well done and I asked for medium rare. My salad was of mixed greens covered in a maple dressing more dressing than I needed. I would not recommend this spot to anyone. Sorry for the bad review but it was not worth the $100.00 price tag.

Good food and you won’t go wrong with any dishes… I loved the pork ribs … salmon tacos were just OK (raw salmon)… decent cocktails

The food was pretty decent. We tried the French onion soup and the veggie burger. The outdoor seating along the cobblestone streets provided a great atmosphere for dining.

Based on a visit in Aug 2023 We visited the restaurant in the peak season for lunch. It was understandably busy. However we were seated fairly quickly in their large outdoor seating area. The wait staff was professional and attentive. The food was served quickly. The duck drummettes and veggie burger were both well done and enjoyable. Prices were a bit on the high side (to be fair - ALL places in the heart of Old Quebec City had their touristy rates on).

Portion size is laughable. Presentation is nice & pretty. Cannoli had very little amount of meat inside. Seasoning was bleh. Food is okay nothing exceptional. For the price , unsatisfying. Perhaps if you get a burger, the fries and bun appears larger

We enjoyed outdoor eating at Mûrmur along Rue St. Anne in Quebec City. Live music by talented buskers played nearby. Our server was attentive and the food was excellent.

Restaurant Mûrmur is a true culinary delight nestled just a stone's throw away from the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City. The experience here is elevated by the warm and friendly host who speaks English fluently, making every guest feel right at home. But let's talk about the food - the calamari is a standout star. Tasty and crispy, it's a delightful appetizer that sets the tone for a memorable meal. The menu offers a delectable array of choices to suit every palate, and the quality of ingredients shines through in every dish. Conveniently located and offering a cozy ambiance, Restaurant Mûrmur is a perfect dining spot to complement your visit to Quebec City. If you're seeking a dining experience that combines friendliness, fantastic flavors, and a convenient location, look no further than this charming establishment.

Dined at Mur Mur Restaurant in Quebec City and, while the prices were steep, the mouthwatering dishes made up for it. The calamari salad was a standout - bursting with flavor and freshness. The high cost was a downside, but the unforgettable flavors, especially the calamari, left a lasting impression. The staff was really friendly!

Thought we’d come on a limb and wow we were utterly disappointed. To start, the tables were tremendously uneven on the cobble stone. and the drinks had no alcohol in them. Also, the waiter forgot our French onion soup and did not take it off the bill. He seemed to make a joke that we were American and was not friendly. The salmon was the size of an ant and the salad seemed to be thrown together in 5 seconds. The fries were less than average and did not have much flavor at all. Burger was okay. Would not recommend. My hubby and I were very disappointed.

Amazing service and the food was great! I had turnip soup for starters, grilled salmon salad and sorbet for dessert. Everything was great just added a little too much vinaigrette. Conclusion, food was BUSSIN.

I didn’t take pictures, but my order was pasta with beef and mushrooms soup , and for my friends was Berger beef with clamaré salads. I want to say so amazing and good quality, thanks for management, everything hear so delicious, I recommend this place if your come to Quebec City. I like this restaurant and friendly staff. If you have 100 star, I give you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️

The présentation of the food looks very nice. But, compared to 2 years ago the quality of their food has gone downhill and the menu alot smaller. The seafood roll had shrimp which tasted almost canned and was stinky. It wasn't cheap either - $24

Service: 5 Stars Our waiter was Francis, P. he was great! Knowledgeable, funny with a great sense of humor. He definitely made our afternoon. Food & Drink: 3½ Stars The wine selection was small and not the best of the barrel, but decently priced. Charcuterie board of decent quality and well was portioned.

My husband ordered the 26.00 wagu beef hamburger. He was not asked how he likes his burger cooked and it came well well done. The burger patty was the size of a McDonald's kids meal burger. Because the life was cooked out of the patty and a magnifying glass was needed to find the patty it was pretty tasteless. My wagu poutine was tender. But the cheese curds were really bland so I couldn't give it a 5. For 21.00 it was a pretty stingy plate of fries. I wouldn't recommend this place and if Im ever in quebec city again I won't ear AR murmur

Food was pretty mediocre, and really expensive. Salad came without dressing, burger was burnt and didn’t come with onion soup when it said it would :( Hoped for something more in the heart of Quebec City.

So understaffed they can't operate even the basics of a restaurant like bringing the food you order. Conplete waste of time

Service was a little slow but my Manhattan and my filet more than made up for it. It was the best filet I've had in a very long time. Nicely salted, cooked to a perfect medium rare.

Went there 2 weeks ago....regretted it. The food was decent but heavily overpriced for the quantity! $15 for fried calamari as starter..i could hardly find any calamari in the plate. Nice location...and that's for the 1 star

Service was really slow even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. We waited for over an hour to receive our food. The caesar salad was bland and the burger was really dry. The ribs wasn’t bad tho and our server was really nice.

Wonderful service; they went out of their way to seat us inside when the rain started despite being short staffed. Excellent service, delicious food, well priced kids menu. We’d definitely come back!

👍 We were there for lunch and there was no lineup. We ordered the croissant sandwiches and coffee, both are freshly made. Highly recommend. Staff are very helpful to suggest food from the menu.
