I don't usually go around giving bad reviews, but the owner of the place left me a very rude message when I left my review on Booking.com, so here we are. Staff was a bit cold when first getting there, the beds weren't very comfortable and the pillows were thin and hard. The place is well situated but it was very noisy at night. The entrance and hallway smelled bad. I wouldn't go there again. Edit: The man holding the place sends rude messages to anyone who dare complain about anything online.

Great place inside the walls of old Quebec City. Location is excellent walking to all parts of city. Building is old maybe 200 years so rooms are small and date. In my opinion very much to be expected for this area. Prices are quit good.

The location is great. The room is pretty and the balcony view is beautiful. The owner is VERY VERY RUDE. I had mentioned on booking.com that I would arrive between 6 and 7pm, but had an inconvenient on the way to Quebec city (I was hiking in the Malbaie area). At 7:15 he calls me and in a very rude way asks me where I am, why have I not arrived. He continued to say that he has things to do and because I am late he won't be able to those things. I had no service to let him know that I would arrive late and to be honest, I have NEVER had a problem like this before as normally there is always someone present at the hotel for the arrival of guests. This wasn't a late check-in or anything of the sort. We arrived at 8:45 pm and the owner was waiting outside, very rude, did not greet us at all. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The parking is not included in the price (around 7-10$ added, this is not mentioned on the advertisement, it says parking is available which i thought meant included). Breakfast is not a breakfast so it is poorly advertised on their website (small bread, laughing cow cheese pieces and one fruit). I will never be staying here again, and I told the owner how rude he was. No customer service at all in this hotel please stay away. Quebec city is a beautiful town with many great hotels eager and happy to have you stay at their place!

I went there several times with my father during the FIMMQ. We always had good service, the lady who lives there with her son is so nice. The croissants are delicious at breakfast and, although an old style, it’s very adequate for the price. If you want a 5 star hotel, pay the price and just go away. I had a good experience.

This was our first trip to beautiful Quebec City. We stayed for two nights here and it was a great choice. We stayed in room 4 on the second floor. The room was much larger than the photos indicated and was very cozy with huge windows and a beautiful stained glass doorway onto a balcony overlooking the street (although we didn’t use it, being cold and blustery in November!). Ensuite Bathroom is small but well fitted with a very comfy tub. As mentioned it is a 3/4 wall, but as a couple, that didn’t bother us. The two double beds are firm, but comfortable and I slept extremely well. The free Breakfast is self serve that you take to your room - croissants, muffins, fruit, coffee, tea etc. I found it very charming. The location is great, inside the city walls within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, convenience stores — the whole old city. Parking is not free, as it says in some places online, but is discounted via a ticket the owner gives you. The designated underground parking is about a 10 minute walk away. The downstairs entrance does smell of smoke, but the rooms do not at all. Don’t expect a sterile chain hotel - if you want that go somewhere else! The house is old and it shows, giving it the feel of a cross between an AirBnB and a traditional Inn. Overall a great, cozy place to stay with a friendly polite host and homey feel at a great price! I’d highly recommend to anyone on a budget who likes to feel like they are coming home at the end of the day.

I stayed on the top floor room with a balcony. What a pretty night street view the room has . I enjoyed the light breakfast at the balcony. Mark, the owner kindly offered a parking ticket which was valid for 24 hours at the public parking lot which is not that far. Mark did not look friendly at first, but he was when I happened to talked him. By the way it is surprising that this hotel is the place where the Korean drama Goblin was filmed, which is not well advertised. A nice old private hotel.

Nice old building, clean and comfortable. Owner could smile a bit more but met my needs well.

Stayed there for 3 nights. The stay was good. Host is helpful. In terms of cleanliness and location, everything was perfect. Breakfast was good too. Options of fruits, yogurt were there along with other things.

Rooms are a bit old school but generally clean. WiFi not working. Breakfast acceptable . Affordable price. Parking available for 10$

It's very clean and beautiful. He owner was very kind. The bathrooms don't have sealing, so you can hear the person from the top and the tin wall. In the room there no smell and very clean, but there a smell of cigarettes downstairs where we had to enter ( I did like the smell, but since it's not in my room, it's ok)

Large comfortable room with 2 double beds, table and chairs. Bathroom was a very tight fit and we aren't big people. Hair dryer popped the fuse in the bathroom, was ok in the bedroom. Breakfast consisted of croissants, sweet mini muffins, juice, yoghurt and coffee. No dining room, had to go upstairs to collect from the hallway and take back to your room. Very convenient location, within walking distance to everything in the old city.

Comfortable bed, great breakfast. There was not free parking on site, I paid an extra $10 fee for a voucher to park 24hrs (on weekday) just outside the old Quebec wall, a bit of a walk away. WiFi was slow but worked.

Clean and comfortable beds, the pillows were way too flat though. Nice continental breakfast.
