Booked through AirBnb. Bed extremely uncomfortable to the point where our backs ached all weekend. Shower water was lukewarm at best. Window was smashed and hastily covered up with some contact paper. Could hear yelling, screaming and loud music all night. Not as centrally located as described; Old Quebec is at least a 20 minute walk away and the Plains of Abraham is 40 minutes. Overnight parking several blocks away. Won’t be back.

The location is great however the service is very poor and the listing misleading. This listing identified air conditioning but there was only baseboard heating, no ventilation at all. The street is very noisy until 2 to 3 AM (bars, construction, street cleaning etc.) so having the windows open for a bit of air comes with a lot of noise. The listing says you have all the cookware you need to prepare a gourmet meal, in fact there is one pot and one frying pan. It says you have all the streaming channels you need on the TV, there are no instructions and no cable service, only Netflix (assuming you have your own account to log in), Youtube and Crackle. There is no bar in the closet to hang up clothes and no towel racks at all and no bath mat for the shower in spite of the very slippery marble floor. They don't tell you in advance but you need a smart phone and to download a Kevo app. to access the room door. There is no phone number to contact for help and erratic response to emails. We met travelers from Australia who were stranded in the street with no contact information and spent quite a bit of time with another couple staying in the same place to help them finally get access. Now that we have completed our stay a week ago the security deposit has not been returned and there is no response to emails asking for a status. There are other much better kept accommodations just down the road I would consider and on balance not stay at this place or others run by the same group again. I just regret we didn't spend more time looking on Trip Advisor before booking.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. The location is good, but the unit was dirty - hairs of various shapes and sizes in the shower, dust everywhere else. There's no air conditioning, no soap was provided, pillows were thinner than the ones they give you on airplanes and the wi-fi could've probably been replaced by carrier pigeons and been faster.

We booked this through Airbnb as well and the mattress wasn't even a proper mattress, I'm pretty sure it was a box spring. We had to to rely on a good night rest to safely get on the road again the next day for a long ride but we couldn't get any sleep in because the springs or coils were digging into our backs. The water in the shower was barely warm. This place is not worth the $175 we paid. Parking is not easy here as it's a busy street. Wish I listened to the reviews left on here. They had flying reviews on Airbnb but it was super misleading. Worst stay ever.

We booked through Expedia and literally everything in the description about the loft rental for 2 nights was false. We got a 2/1 instead of a 3/2, there was no coffee maker or microwave in the kitchen despite them being on the listing and there was no free self parking. The hosts of the property did not care about their obvious falsehoods. Would not recommend booking destination stays in downtown Montreal

Apartment was clean and spacious. Pros: close to the grocery store, restaurants are nearby, and apartment is clean and spacious. Bed is firm but comfortable. Cons: • the air conditioning is a portable window unit (not pictured in the ad) and could not cool my apartment. It was 26° when I checked in, and the ac was set to 17°. It lets off a lot of heat that gets trapped around the window is uses. Best to just use the fan function and open the window. • No parking • Far walk to Chateau Frontenac and The Plains of Abraham. Part of the walk is a bit sketchy, and involves very steep hills and outdoor staircases.

Good location not too far from the old town, clean and modern loft.

My wife and I stayed in a lovely room on Rue Saint-Joseph Est, conveniently opposite an amazing poutine place. The location was fantastic, a quick walk to restaurants, pubs, and cafes, and an easy walk to places like the old town, citadel, and Plains of Abraham park. The room was clean, cosy, and had a little kitchen and nice bathroom. The building and room had easy access, and the room had good ventilation (windows) as well as heating. Communication and organisation was easy via phone / email.

The first indication is the entrance stairway. Two of four bulbs in the light fixtures worked. It looks pretty beaten up, like a student house. Entering the room, we were assaulted by the stench of stale cigarette smoke and sweat. Sitting on the couch was a real treat. Busted springs and stale sweat. In the kitchen only one outlet of 3 worked and non had
