😠 Horrid place. The staff are cold and indifferent. Speaking English is a crime and when I speak French the staff work hard to make me feel small by speaking fast and ignoring my pleas for help. My wife was reduced to tears of despair before a doctor came by to explain the emergency surgery she needed... People often mention doctor, hospital, waiting, wait, staff, time, care, hours,

Most incompetent system ever. I hate to say it but the administration doesn't want to work outside their comfort zone. Have been sitting here for 10hour and still no chance to see a doctor. No one give you a proper answer. The nurse doesn't want to communicate with you beyond what they have been told to do so. There is not eve long waiting line barely few people still they can't process softly. Canada you have to do better in your health system. Free care doesn't mean it is efficient 😏😏😏

Horrid place. The staff are cold and indifferent. Speaking English is a crime and when I speak French the staff work hard to make me feel small by speaking fast and ignoring my pleas for help. My wife was reduced to tears of despair before a doctor came by to explain the emergency surgery she needed. I hate the US system of for profit insurance but this experience has taught me compassion and kindness and humanity are worth more than the system that drives the healthcare. I shall never return to to Quebec and if that works for you thank CHUL for making me despise Francophone Canada. Update. Two days in a hospital bed no resolution to a gall bladder problem no surgery This despite my willingness to pay the Pirates their money in advance. The anesthesiologist demanded I appear in the operating theater with my credit card - never heard of such a thing- the hospital authorities refused to let me go there. I went to the office - perception, what a stupid unforgettable name- and the clerk had no idea how to take my payment or how much it was ($3330CAN! A mere bagatelle to pay upfront and in full!!). By that time my wife was sent back to her bed in a "private" room ($196) she shares WITH A MAN. Never heard of such a thing. I am trapped in hell. Use this train wreck of a hospital fully warned they are charlatans.

Got my appendix removed here. Service at this hospital is a joke. Nurses and docs are great, however management is garbage. Two suited guys like corporates came the next morning saying we are ready to discharge you. Barely stayed 9 hrs after surgery and they wanted me to leave to free a bed. Garbage

When I am writing this, I already have waited more than 9 hours in hospital's immergency but still they can't saying when a doctor call me! I realized some resist behavior from the employees, they called everyone and lots of guys got immergency treatment who came after me! Worst medical service I ever experienced, even worst than any developing country.

"Free" things at times are the most expensive. I have been waiting at the ER now for almost 4 hours, my son has a deep laceration on supraorbital region, with skull bone visible, He has not eaten since we came in, till now, were are unable to get suture points. He is in pains and hungry. Even a heart attack may take someone 3 hrs to be attended to.

Kind and on-the-job staff, but 9 hour wait before seeing the doctor.

Kindness should be an included topic for being a doctor. We came from TR to see this doctor named "Kristina Arendas " in gynecology. We are suffering from infertility since many years and our doctor prescribed us fibroid removal surgery before continuing with the fertility treatment and I am close to 40yrs. We waited 2 hrs. Finally when she arrived she was extremely rude and mean. She said the waiting list is one year and we should go and shop somewhere else. I was numb to her behavior. She was with an intern, great future doctors in making?

After over 7 hours of waiting, barely no one passed and I gave up waiting. It's absolutely ridiculous that it would take so much time to even lay eyes on a doctor. More people gave up waiting then actually saw a doctor. Used to have acceptable wait times, but it seems the service has really gone down.

I came in by ambulance without any wallet, shoes or much of anything else. The staff were amazing to me as an anglo heathen. The food was pretty good (considering the rest of the country) and the facilities were clean. ONE COMPLAINT. There is a WIFI extender in every room but it is not shared to the patients. Get real! I was there for a week! Let us on so we can not be bored out of our skulls. Really poor planning.

We’re still here. We’ve been here for over 12 hours and we’re still waiting because it’s not “serious” enough to see someone. I understand seeing people in order of injury but at a certain point over twelve hours is ridiculous, we can’t even have a basic medication for the pain while waiting because “a nurse has to give it to you” but you can’t seem to see a nurse again after the initial test. The wait time is just outrageous.

This is the 2nd time my partner has been hospitalized, and being that she is vegan I have no choice but to make 45 minute drives from home just to bring her something to eat. Come on!! this is 2024 and a person cannot even get served a basic salad!! They offered her grapes & cheese (yup this hospital doesn’t to know what vegan means) and a bowl of oatmeal for supper. She’s not asking for anything complicated but the hospital should be able to provide patients with proper food regardless of their diets. I’m baffled by this and would give less than one star but that isn’t an option.

First: Thank you very much dear CHUL for helping us. Second: They were highly efficient because the salle d’urgence was packed with patience when we arrived. And after a short time, the managed to deacrease the number, although a lot of other patience had kept arriving. We needed to gonto the emergency because our 10-months old son got hit in the eye with a ball. As non-Canadian tourists, we called 811 before and were transmitted to CHUL. In the end, the treatment and competency reliefed us, and the nurse and doctor were very friendly and competent. We waited 0,5h until we went into Triage. And another 3h until the doctor’s exam. In the meantime, all staff was very kind and answered our questions patiently. By the way: as non-Canadians, the emergenc treatment is CA$1.299,49. Reason for only four stars: No food/beverage machines or stands nearby. And no speaker outside which did nit allow us to wait in fresh air instead of the stuffed salle d’urgence.

I give 1 star as I have no choice or would give zero. We come to the hospital because my 6 year old daughter has fever vomiting and stomach pain. When she was checked in triage they gave Tylenol and made her wait her fever is constant but mild due to medication but she isn't a priority and given advil. After 4 hrs of waiting they say we have to wait another 4 hrs to see a doctor. The people have absolutely no care for the patients, some desks are unattended and some leave the patients hanging outside while they are chit chatting. If you really need help go to another hospital who is more concerned about treating people.

My father was taken care of like Royalty. The cardiac care unit and intensive Cardiac Care is top notch. The nurses, Edith, Marie-Soleil, Karen, Anne-Marie, Claudie, Stephanie, Julie, Florence etc were just amazing. We are so very grateful. “No Problem...!”

I liked my nice visit here because this hospital has lots of health care like emergencies, pediatric health, some psychiatric care, surgery and more, this place has nice and professional personnel and i considered this place very modern and very clean. I will recommend this.

It was the most disgusting experience of all my life , I arrived at 10h30 and I have to wait 10 hrs to someone helps me. As a international student we pay for the service and it is not human to wait without eating and suffering.

Amazing! My daughter-in-law learns that she is pregnant with her first child, is under a lot of stress at her job which is not easy, so she has to stop working and during this time she has a stomach ache, doesn't know if it's normal , goes to your hospital, even though it is a Mother and Child center, and to be told that there is a 7 hour wait???? There is a life at stake!! The one doing the sorting, what was she thinking? So disappointed, I would never have thought that! What do new moms who are stressed without a doctor do????

😐 Waited 7 hours to be told they have no idea what's wrong with me. Except that my white blood cell count was high. I had a fever, of course it was high.
